They also told me there was nothing I could do. I lost my kids pictures and memories and other very valuable things I can never get back. Yes the police was called. I still don't understand how someone put a code in at the gate and no one was seen on camera! Came through the gate and drove past six cameras and no one was seen! Jimmed my storage and several others and was not seen carrying all of our items out, no finger prints and no one was seen leaving. Honestly....I have a HUGE problem with this facility. It seemed great at first....and I know I…read morecannot be the only one who has an issue with the happenenings at this storage facility. Reading all the good reviews that name the employees every single time are very suspicous am pretty sure they are mostly fake reviews. I rented here with the understanding that it was a clean new, secure building. It was a huge selling point that the facility had all these amazing features such as climate control, cameras, electronic locks, elevators ect. That was the reason we chose to rent here. A few months in I realize how bad it is. I kinda hate to say it...but it has to be said. It is directly across the street from the Alfred Washburn Center (St Vincent DePaul). There are homeless people EVERYWHERE. In the parking lot under the trees, camped out next to the exit gate & along the road you have to use to leave. The facility is NOT SECURE and is a joke. They pretend to have a security gate, but its left open 24/7. The doors to the building that you are supposed to need an access code to get in, just open up as you walk up to it. The "secured" bathrooms, that have a keypad to enter, have bent handles & are left ajar so you don't have to use a code to get in. There are units where the latch has been literally ripped/pryed out of the roll up door (and has been replaced in the past few days) We came across a puddle of urine in the main hallway (smell was obvious). Way down the other hallway, the motion activated lights were on & we heard people talking. There was not another single vehicle on the entire property at the time. We looked...leading us to believe that there were people who had slept in there, due to how early we were there. The motion lights were not activated between us & the end of the hallway (where the lights were on)...it was extremely dark. Then when going to try to use the OTHER restroom, we walked past a man who was OBVIOUSLY living in a unit. He had a bag in the aisleway right outside of the unit he was sitting in. Carrying on asking us if we saw the bag move....exclaiming that there was a demon in the bag. Seriously. Then he went back to freaking out that the bag was moving. So. What it comes down to is this storage facility is NOT SECURE, NOT CLEAN and is a major safety issue. People are allowed to enter/exit unchecked & have unlimited access to the units here. Taking advantage of the amenities that we as renters, pay for.
