Easy to book -- we used them for train tickets in Spain. However, our train was delayed over 3 hours and we were supposed to be refunded on the tickets, per the Renfe policy. It's been over 3 months now and despite many emails assuring me they would handle it, no refund. Would not recommend nor use again. read more

On my way back from Spain after a fabulous train journey in the north of Spain - the el transcantabrico clasico and a few more cities. I cannot begin to tell you how much fun the train journey was itself but I do have to recognize the effort that Roger put in for organizing the trip from start to finish and everything was flawless. I would generally give 4 star ratings but this time was special because I had missed my train from Madrid to Leon and there was nothing available until the next day. I was panicking when I called the agent Roger at Palace Tours and he took charge and made a car transfer possible in the next hour. I cannot thank him enough because it would have meant us missing a day of the trip. Everything worked like clockwork and I am definitely going to recommend the train as well as this agency to everyone. Thank you for your help guys. i will be back. read more

Just came back from our trip from India. We had arranged for a tour on Palace on Wheels and a private tour in Bombay with Palace Tours since they are local to us and are listed as official representatives of the train. I was worried about the food and quality of the train because I had read about the need for restoration etc. Palace Tours arranged for the extension tours in Mumbai and also to Pune. The services were excellent. The reason I am only giving 4 stars is because the train had some problem with the toilet and it took them 12 hours to fix it. I had to call Palace Tours who had to then call the general manager of the train to get things expedited. So from the service part there was not an issue from Palace Tours but the train could have done better. I understand Palace Tours is an agent and was able to get things resolved once they found out and that is why I can recommend the agency. read more

BEWARE! We booked a one week Palace on Wheels trip in India back in early 2017. The tour was to be April 4 to 11 of 2018. We made the 20% down payment and signed the necessary documents when we booked the tour along with the approval for the final payment which was to be made 60 days before the tour date. 60 days before the tour I received an email stating our tour was cancelled for non-payment. First I emailed and after no reply II called the company from a cruise ship (expensive). The answer was, OH, no problem the note was computer generated and about 4 of you received it in error. The payment will be made in the next few days. Well after 2 weeks, nothing so I had to call again from the cruise ship. Oh, no probleme. The a week later got an email from the manager of Palace tours. He had some song and dance story that the Indian government had a problem with the train and they could put on one of the older cars. Well, the older cars don't connect through and don't have ensuite bathrooms. So to eat meals or use the restroom you would have to get off the train and go to the other car and get back on. I told them no way and asked for a refund of down payment which they did. HOWEVER, I had already booked a hotel in Delhi and paid for business class airfare. So for 2 people it cost me close to $5,000. I guess I should have sued them for mis-representation. If the train was overbooked, I should have been told when I booked a year before the tour. NEVER AGAIN!!! Beware of Palace Tours. read more

My husband and I really enjoyed our Al Andalus Palace on Wheels Train Journey from Seville on September 14, 2015. This was one of the best vacation that we ever had ! The service, food, all destinations, all excursions was prepared with a lot of thoughts and efforts. The staff was very knowledgeable, attentive and very warm. This was absolutely the great way to get to know Spain ! We definitely will use Palace Tours again in the future and definitely will recommend this company to all our friends! read more
