Over 25 years have walked the Princeton campus but never knew the details of the buildings or people. Jen is an excellent guide, communicator and very knowledgeable. We would highly recommend the tour. read more

I took the "Insider Tour" yesterday and had SO MUCH FUN!!! Our guide was Jen. She kept the pace fast while telling interesting and funny stories about Princeton and the many people who lived here. It was a cold day out, but we went into several buildings to warm up so we were comfortable. Jen even took us into the art museum and showed us some of her favorites. Would definitely recommend- even on a chilly day! read more

Everything went well! Organized, informative, fun, great guide Jackie - very energizing and enthusiastic! You won't be disappointed!

Super fun and informative! Mimi has so much energy and it is clear that she loves the Princeton Community. This was our second time with PTC. The first being a walking ghost tour like 12 years ago. Still the same excellent facts about town. Loved it and can't wait for another one. The trolley was beautiful and very comfortable. Highly recommend but make reservations early because she is in demand!!! read more

Holiday trolley tour of Princeton was great. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny. No time for any questions, though. Learned a lot --- but a two hour trolley tour is needed. I know there's a walking tour but not everybody can walk for two hours. read more

Mimi's love and passion for all things Princeton made for a very entertaining and enlightening tour. We really enjoyed it.

I was lucky to get on the last ghost tour of the season the night before halloween. Our tour guide was the best story teller I've ever met. It was a 2 hour walking tour but it was the most engaging and enjoyable experience. The walk around the campus was a nice experience. To top it off, the tour ended at the princeton cemetery which was the highlight of the entire tour. I highly recommend everyone to experience this tour. read more

Jackie is spectacular. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made for a memorable afternoon. 5 Stars!

Well, if you've read all the previous reviews, then you know that the tour is fantastic. 5 stars are well deserved. The trip from Philly was worth the drive. The hour flew by as if it were minutes. There is more history than we imagined in this little town and it appears as though Princeton isn't through. Make sure you don't miss this tour. read more

Was skeptical as walking tours are typically not my thing but this exceeded all expectations. Our guide was fun and upbeat, kept the tour moving at all times and provided enough facts and information to make it interesting. Definitely recommend whether it's your first or 100th time in Princeton! read more

Such a great tour! Exceeded our expectations. Jen was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and great sense of humor. The tour flew by! Would definitely do another tour with the company and would even do the Princeton University tour again. Can't say enough great things. read more

Jacqui was so engaging - dropping historical tidbits and great cliffhangers! highly recommend read more

Mimi is the best tour guide I've ever had! Witty, full of life, knowledgeable, and charismatic- we laughed, learned, had fun, and made memories learning about the town of Princeton in a way I could not have imagined when we booked the tour! Everything, start to finish, was beyond five stars! I highly and without a shred of reservation recommend Mimi and her company to everyone. Make a Your with this company a MUST when you visit Princeton!! read more

My 6 year old son wanted to have ghost tour for his 7th birthday party. When I contacted Mimi she indicated that her current birthday party ghost tour was really designed for kids in 3rd or 4th grade at a minimum and mostly booked by tweens. Then, in the next breath, she said she could customize it a bit and cut out the visit to the graveyard (the spookiest part) and add a bit of extra time on campus. I was so thrilled -- what great customer service! My son's birthday was a smash success. The kids loved the tour -- we actually spent 80% of our time on campus. They each had their own ghost hunting gear and for them it was just a thrill to be out in the dark and hearing some good stories. The parents were thrilled as the stories were actually a good history lesson too. We had 12 7 year olds and 8 parents on the tour and Mimi kept each of us engaged and entertained the entire time. A truly unique experience for a birthday party. read more

My husband and I took their weekend shameless name dropping tour . It's a walking tour , so be prepared to do quite a bit of walking . Carry some water / juice with yourself if it's a hot day . Tim , our guide was amazing , he had so many stories about each place that we visited . I am sure that I would not have enjoyed my day as much , had I not chosen to do the tour . Great tour ! read more

Everybody knows that Princeton is home to the Ivy League university and a host of think tanks. But if you want to know the story behind the story, check out Princeton Tour Company. Besides giving you the history of the university and the town, Mimi and her guides will fill you in on the folklore that makes the community so fun and interesting. I've been visiting Princeton for nearly 30 years and thought I knew a lot about the community, but I learned a ton more on a recent town/Einstein tour. For instance, why is there a Yale bulldog carved into a Princeton chapel? Why did local merchants call Einstein's secretary on a regular basis? And one of my favorites: what's a divorce house? Mimi has clearly done her homework in uncovering so much of what makes Princeton a fascinating place, and her enthusiasm for her hometown is infectious. In addition to a variety of themed tours, she also runs pub crawls and ghost tours. I haven't been on either, but if her town tours are any indication, they've got to be a lot of fun on a Saturday night! read more

Amazing is the only word to describe this tour. Mimi, the owner and charismatic Princeton "townie", walks you, or in my case a group, throughout the beautiful Princeton University campus while enlightening you with local history, folklore, and popular myths surrounding one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the country. Without spoiling anything I can tell you that you will be engaged from the minute the tour starts. You will be in awe as you tour the campus, rushing to get to the front of the group not so much to hear her better (she makes sure everyone in your group can hear her) but rather for the chance to pick her brain for more facts and more town tales. Eventually the tour leads you into the side roads lined with beautiful homes of every era. You will see the homes and workplaces of some of the worlds most important men and women. You will learn where to find your favorite nobel prize winner as they make their way to campus (hint: starbucks isn't the only coffee in town!). My group and I were in awe, impressed as she delivered interesting factoids without skipping a beat. If you're here for a day to drop your child off, passing through town, or even a student looking for a little more knowledge about the place you call home while living and learning, you need to take this tour! read more

We went on the holiday trolley tour and it was fantastic. We weren't really sure what to expect when we reserved our tickets or the target age group. After attending we learned it was geared towards adults, surprisingly we only had one kid on our trolley. The host did a wonderful job combining the historic aspect and feeling as if you were part of the real housewives of Princeton. Her enthusiasm for Princeton helped the hour ride fly by and we left feeling like we learned a lot about the town. It provide and insider view regarding the things you can't always find it books which gave the tour an extra personal touch. I would highly recommend the holiday tour as part of your Princeton visit. read more

Mimi is hilarious and really knows her stuff! We had a great time on the tour and look forward to doing it again when the weather is warmer. read more

We did another tour with Princeton Tour Company recently ...this time a private tour with Jen. We had two friends from Germany in town so I wanted to make sure they could follow along and that they saw the parts they were most interested in learning about. Jen nailed all of it. The history and Jen's humor hit on all fronts with my German friends. While only a little more money, private is totally the way to go if you want something smaller and more custom. Good to do for non-native speakers or even if you have parents in town who need to really slow it down. And Jen is truly hilarious. read more

I have visited Princeton countless times with friends, but I just now experienced this tour. There is definitely a reason this tour company wins accolades on TripAdvisor & NYT things to do. I really like that Mimi conducts most, if not all, of the tours herself. She really knows what she is talking about...love her personality. Here I was in late December getting the scoop on quirky stories in Princeton...yes, yes, do the Holiday Trolley. The Holiday Trolley runs like this...an hour flies by as you sit in a heated trolley bus with listening device. Mimi whispers funny stories in your ear. You laugh non-stop :) ps I totally wish I came to Princeton's Pi Day! read more

Just took the Shameless Namedropping Walking Tour of Princeton. It was great! Our tour guide, Jen, was excellent. She was animated, funny, and knowledgeable! It was a really fun afternoon, and we came away with a new understanding of the university and the town. I would highly recommend the tour. Worth every penny! read more

This tour was outstanding. Mimi was the tour guide. The depth of her knowledge about Princeton I would think is unsurpassed. She made it so interesting and fun! I've lived just a few minutes outside of Princeton for many years and heard and saw things on this tour I knew nothing of. So good. Highly recommend!! I'm truly looking forward to the next time and the next... read more

Loved this tour! Went on the "Toast of Princeton Tour" with my father and husband. The tour guide was great, passionate about the subject, funny, and explained the history so well. We will definitely will be back on many other tours they offer :) read more

Me and my friend had high hopes for this ghost hunting experience after reading such great reviews, HOWEVER, after our experience, we felt inclined to leave an honest review. On our way there for the 7:30 show, we got stuck behind an accident. We tried several times to contact the office during our drive (about 4 times) with no answer, keep in mind they are serving tours during this time so there SHOULD be someone in office. We arrive 5 minutes late and the tour group is already gone. There is no signage on the building you are supposed to meet in front of and no one inside the building knows what is going on. Make sure you get there early. We finally get ahold of someone in the office, her name is Mimi, and she was incredibly rude and unhelpful, blaming us for coming late and claiming there is nothing she could do. Professionalism and accommodation were seriously lacking. She refused refunds or alternate planning too so if you miss your tour, you are not getting on a later one - no refunds and no help. Our experience with the staff put a serious damper on the night. After wandering around Princeton campus for 15 minutes, trying to find our group, we finally found them. Our tour guide was great, very enthusiastic and informational and the ghost hunting instruments were fun. We wish we had more time using them, you only ghost hunt for 10 minutes, even though they strongly emphasize the ghost hunting part of the experience. We had plans to come back with more friends but after our interaction with the staff, we will not be returning. The office is of no help and the communication with guests is appalling. Be prepared to be left in the dark if you have questions or concerns. read more

Great tour! Very informative and tour guide had humor!! A must do in Princeton

My friend and I took the Shameless Name Dropping Tour of Princeton on 10/13/18, and it was fabulous. I learned so much, while being well entertained at the same time. Jacqui was an excellent guide. The tour was well worth the price, and I would do it again! read more

We took the Shameless Name Dropping Tour of Princeton on Saturday, 10/13/18 as part of an all-day visit to Princeton. Our tour guide Jacqui was absolutely wonderful. She was funny, informative and very entertaining. She provided us with a lot of great off-beat information about both the University and the town as we toured the entire area. We had wanted to take a University tour for a long time, and this tour provided us exactly what we were looking for. We highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Princeton. We have also taken the Christmas trolley twice with different family members, and Mimi, the owner of the company, was also an excellent tour guide on that tour. She has created an excellent company, and with guides such as Jacqui she is providing an amazing experience to anyone who wants to learn about the University and town. read more

Jen was a great tour guide. She was knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. We really enjoyed it and learned a lot.

Well..let me begin by saying that I never did get a chance to take the tour....would have LOVED TO...but it was cancelled due to the weather. I bought a groupon for this tour. I made a reservation a few days prior and Mimi got back to me saying my Groupon number was invalid. Groupon did contact her to let her know it was a valid number but she told me she had to go through all these "procedures" before she could accept it! WTF? Anyways, everything was finally straightened out and my husband and I drove an hour to go on this tour. Once we arrived we were given head phones...5 minutes later Mimi announced through the head phones that the tour was being cancelled due to bad weather. I understood her situation....then she told EVERYONE via the headphones that we would get rain checks via email for the tour that would ve good for one year. I waited to get my rain check. After several days and NOT receiving the rain check I called. Mimi changed her mind! CouldNOT GIVE RAIN CHECKS! Had to use the groupon prior to the expiration date which was In 2 weeks! Was she kidding! Maybe Mimi is very knowledgable and gives a fret tour...but she was NOT VERY EASY TO DEAL WITH! She made us feel like we were inferior since we were using a groupon...needless to say Groupn refunded us our money. We've gone on many walking tours in NYC and they were wonderful and everyone was so nice! Mimi seemed to think she was superior to us. I would never go on a tour with her! read more

I challenge you to find a better tour ANYWHERE than with Mimi. She's energetic, hilarious and SMART. You'll never have a better time learning... ever. She makes you want to run home and learn even more. She's a gift to Princeton. read more

Loved this tour! went with my boyfriend on a Friday night, this is a evening tour that can take close to 2 hours. they really do a good job on this tour and give you plenty of equipment to really get into the whole ghost thing. We had a groupon for this tour. we were given devices with headphones so that every person can individual hear the narrorator, another devices to see if a ghost was present, and then given green finger lanterns while touring the graveyard at night which was creepy and exciting at the same time. totally recommend this tour. read more

My husband and I went on the Ghost hunt and cemetery tour tonight. Our tour guide Jerry was super funny and entertaining! He had so much enthusiasm and told the stories with excitment. He kept our attention the whole tour and even made it PG since there were kids in our group. We enjoyed the ghost hunt portion and using the gadgets, it was such a neat experience.
