This was my first visit to Painted Mane, but I was following my stylist Nicolette who's been doing my hair for almost 5 years now. She always knows how to treat my hair (boy did I need it this time!) and I am beyond pleased with the results! She is never in a rush and takes her time to give my hair the TLC it really needs. The salon is clean and definitely has a calm and inviting vibe. If you want to know how good Nicolette is just look at my before and after pictures...as they say a picture is worth a thousand words! Thank you so much Nicolette!! I love my hair so much!!! read more

Magical MELISSA , thank you very much!!!! She is the hair whisperer I swear ! I literally spent an entire year with my hair up in a ponytail because of all the bad cuts I kept getting. If a stylist has a bad day , then what they don't realize is like that means several weeks of bad hair days or even months for you . I'm pretty basic , I have thin ,fine hair ,and I like it cut a little below shoulder length , and even on both sides , but I don't know why it was so hard to get this year. A long time friend of mine referred me to Melissa, I guess I never thought to ask because it's an hour away from me , but I was desperate. I came to Melissa with PTSD because of all the bad cuts , no joke ! Melissa did long layers on my hair and evened everything out, without having to take off much . I've been wearing my hair down every day ever since and loving it ! Unfortunately I would have loved to show her excitement after my cut, but usually I will go home and it isn't until then is when I realize that after trying to style it myself, I am unable to , only to see how uneven it is and not even close to what I wanted. I am so happy with my cut now , which means everyone else is too because they don't have to hear me complain about my hair all the time when it was in bad shape and now I tell them "oh , did I tell you I love my haircut and that woman (Melissa) is amazing !?" . I couldn't be happier!!!! Melissa just gets it . I am happy to drive an hour for an amazing haircut! If you want a better sleep at night and your confidence back, go visit Melissa !!! read more

Thank you, Regina for my new sassy bob! I love it! It is perfect. I just had a baby and have been feeling sad every time I look in the mirror. It was dull. Then, you crafted textured layers and curtain bangs that I can't stop admiring! It was a wonderful experience. Parking was easy which was a blessing because I HATE fighting for downtown parking. I love how this gorgeous salon is off to the side of downtown chaos. read more

Painted Mane - Hair results - Hair Salons Near Me - Walnut Creek, California

Hello all: This was the most amazing experience I have had in a hair salon in a long time. Matilda Estepp was pleasant, professional, and extremely talented. I initially made the appointment for my daughter who had big aspirations for picture day at school. I left Matilda a last minute voicemail prior to coming asking if she would be able to squeeze me in as well? Never dreaming she could actually accommodate! She gave me a beautiful new and refreshlook and I was so gratefully astounded. The salon is comfortable and beautifully designed. Both my daughter and I are so happy we came to see Matilda at Painted Mane today. We will be back. read more

I've been going to Melissa for 3.5 years. She is a master colorist, works magic with a blow dryer and flat iron, and always gives me a great haircut. In addition, she's performed several different types of straightening treatments on my hair, all of which have come out with the desired effect and have lasted much longer than I expected. She also goes above and beyond to accommodate my schedule, even willing to to see me on her days off! The salon is really convenient to get to, there's plenty of free parking and it's really calm - no phones constantly ringing or people running around, or strong odors from nail polish - very relaxing.
