Have had friends that have participated and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Now, its my turn to be bold and give it a shot.....

I worked with Lisa at Paint Savvy to organize a henna tattoo artist at a recent Yelp party. She was able to be flexible about their usual minimum time requirement and routed me all the requested paperwork quickly. The day of the event, Cheryl (our paint artist) arrived and set up right at the official start-time. She was very pleasant and professional -- and efficient like woah, ya'll. She really whipped through some designs! This worked well for our group, since between the belly dancer and the tarot card reader and the photobooth, there was a lot of action everyone wanted to get in on! Cheryl even applied a splash of glitter to some of the designs as they were drying. It was fun to see the yelpers get creative... I think my favorite has to be Luke C's heart-and-arrow tattoo with "Jen" written through the middle of it! I was told my design (on the palm) would last between 4 days and 4 weeks, just depending on different factors. We're on day five, and it's almost faded away... vague outlines leaving a little reminder of how much fun we had that night. I think if you're looking for serious technique with your henna, this might not be right for you; but if you're seeking terrific entertainment for party-goers, it's perfect! read more

As a professional magician, it was a treat to work with Paint Savvy. These guys really know how to do things right. They only work with the best and it was a pleasure to one of theirs for a corporate gig. Well done, team! read more

Professional, kind, and fun! My sons were thrilled with their face paint, and the artist was a good sport about taking a silly photo with us. Highly recommended! read more

Just joined Yelp and wanted to share my experiences with this terrific small business, Paint Savvy. After seeing them at a few festivals around Raleigh and Cary I asked for a business card for possible future events. I booked their face painting service for my daughters eighth birthday party. We held the party at a local roller rink. I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish with my interactions with the folks at Paint Savvy. The Artist they sent to party was on time, set up quickly, professional, great with the kids, fast, and (most importantly) a true artist! The kids looked amazing as they rolled around the rink! Some of the adults even got in on the fun and sat down in her chair too! Because the party was put together in some what of a hurry; I had to make a few last minute changes to my booking with Paint Savvy. I was thrilled with the "no problem" attitude and the flexibility their staff showed with my need to adjust time, date, and party goers count. Thanks to the addition of Paint Savvy, my daughter's eight birthday party was fun, magical, under budget, and one that she still talks about to this day! read more

I met Lisa at a yelp party at Babylon in Raleigh. She had a small table with a book and pictures of designs she has done. I picked out a design while I waited for my turn. She did a wonderful design on my hand! While did the desgin she talked to me about the henna and how she got started. She also did at least 10 other tats for my fellow yelpers. Some were on peoples hands, shoulder, and all of them looked great! Mine dried in about ten minutes and is holding strong but I'm only one day two! read more

Some of you may have seen my previous review of Paint Savvy and their poor customer service. After Lisa saw my review she contacted me explaining that she wasn't aware of the seriousness of the situation and immediately offered to make amends. She did offer me the $90 back that she charged which I felt was appropriate (she charged $90, but I paid $100 as a tip to my wonderful artist!). She also was very open to receiving my constructive criticism on how this experience could have been more appropriately handled and was very concerned about my negative experience and making things right for me, the customer. I have to give Lisa kudos for her humble approach to my unhappy review and retract what I said before. This is a company that obviously cares about providing a good and fair service and making a small business successful. After obtaining a clear understanding of my opinion of their poor response and customer service, Lisa did everything that she could to ensure that I not only understood their intent, but that I also felt heard. While working to amend this issue, she treated me in a very kind and respectful manner, to the point where I would say that they actually do have great customer service. Lisa, I will respectfully decline your offer to reimburse my $90, as your professionalism humble approach and obvious drive to ensure that this customers experience ends on a positive note has been fulfilled. Thank you again. And to Yelpers reading this review, Lisa from Pain Savvy has also made appropriate steps to ensure that there is never additional issues with the Mehndi services offered. I would feel confident obtaining their services again. Thank you Lisa, and thank you Michelle! read more

Your best bet for professional and artistic entertainment. Lisa is so helpful and responsive. We are always so happy with their work.

I booked Paint Savvy for my Daughters 2nd birthday party and it was so much fun. Not only where they on time and professional. They were nice, and engaging too. SO much so, that the big kids (the adults) got glitter tattoos as well. I appreciate that with Paint Savvy I can switch things up for each party I throw. They are great because they take the headache out of party planning. I will be calling again. read more

I called to inquire (maybe sometime in Jan/Feb 2018)about Paint Savvy's fees/pricing for face painting and balloon twisting services...for my son's b-day party in May 2018. Unbeknownst to me, my inquiry was treated as an official "booking"! I was not interested in Paint Savvy services as the artist who's work I had seen would not be available to service my event, so, I found another vendor, who's work I had seen, and booked them for my May event. On the day of my event, an artist showed up at my door, I'm thinking they were with the vendor I had chosen (*and paid for in advance). Turns out, the artist was actually w/ Paint Savvy, and I ended up turning away the artist from the company I had booked with, b/c I was thinking they had accidentally double-booked my event! Needless to say, I was not at all satisfied with the artistic abilities of the Paint Savvy artist, and will NOT make the mistake of ever calling them again. Please be warned when calling Paint Savvy to inquire about their services.....you may end up getting a bill for services you did not want! If "no stars" is an option, that's my true rating. read more
