We were introduced to Denver Paint during the construction of our new home around 2010-11. They did a superb job of getting the house painted and ready for us to move in. Subsequently, we needed some assistance, which was partially paint related but required some structural work. Although the latter was not our expectation or their expertise, the Denver Paint owner and his associate came up with an ingenious solution which prevented exterior water damage to the house. We were naturally impressed by their creative solution and ecstatic that the problem was resolved. On a scale of 1-10, they are more than 15. I highly recommend Paint Denver. They did a large project for us, including removing popcorn ceilings, painting every surface in the (newly purchased) home, and doing a good amount of drywall repair/patching. Their onsite crew works very hard, in particular Garcia, whose attention to detail for the drywall patching and ceiling surfacing was especially good. I appreciated Rob Peterson, the owner/sales specialist, working with us on "bundled" pricing since the job was so large. In addition, Rob checked in with me regularly to ensure I was satisfied with the ongoing progress, and worked with his team to make small corrections. (The only request would be that they cover the floors better with a heavy duty plastic, to save clean up time later, but I believe they are going to change that process now.) I would give them a zero if possible. They were recommended by a friend, and when I first met Ivan, he seemed competent. It took three times for him to provide an accurate estimate with all the work we needed done and then when his people did the work, it was absolutely a horrible experience. They needed to paint the house and replace six doors. They were all put in wrong and would not close, when they reattached the washer to the waterline after painting, they did not bother to tighten it and we had a huge water leak that delayed putting new carpet in for five days, which also delayed us listing the house during an important time of year. Then when the inspection was done, it was found that that water leak had gone into the crawlspace. They also took turned off the breaker in the garage to the refrigerator and sprinkler system which led to other inspection issues, and somehow left a bolt in the garbage disposal. This delayed closing by another 5 days to address the buyers concerns. the bill was very high and Ivan agreed to take care of us. My fiancé has called nine times talked to a human once and now no one will return our calls. I would never recommend doing business with this company. They owe us several thousand dollars for bad work for the water leak and for the delay of listing and closing on our home. read more

I would probably rate Paint Denver a 3.5 stars. They painted the exterior of my home last year and I had mixed experiences. Getting the quote, the color selection help, both were fantastic. Then came the actual paint. The crew we had was apparently one of their normal crews but I was just a bit surprised at how little the crew respected my property. When we assumed they were finished I had to contact the company and make sure because there were empty bottles and cans around my yard. I was extremely disappointed that the crew also saw fit to dump dry paint chips in our landscaping rock. They obviously did not care about my property. We also noticed that the decorative shutters we had were broken. I consulted the contract, which specifically said not to remove the shutters or they would break, and my daily photos of progress and sure enough, they were removed and broken and then put back in place as if that was acceptable. When I reached out to the company about my disappointment the owner contacted me quickly and asked how they could make it right for me. The crew returned to touch up some spots, clean up the paint chips, and then the owner ordered new shutters and had them installed. I found Paint Denver's customer service absolutely 5 stars. Fantastic owner who cares deeply about his company and willing to work with the customer to make things right. I am just still so disappointed that the crew dumped trash on my yard and I felt so disrespected by the paint crew that I can't give a more positive review. A year later some of the paint is chipping away in very few places, which makes me think they weren't prepared properly. While I'm sure the company would be willing to come back and look at it, again fantastic customer service, I am not fond of the idea of another crew coming to disrespect my home. It's a shame the painters don't care as much as the owner. read more

The winter has come and gone since my review. I continue to find pieces of blue tape that indicated touch up work needed that was never done. Paint on my siding has peeled off where we originally asked for repairs and Paint Denver "recused themselves" from doing the work after originally quoting it. [They painted over the siding boards *before* looking for damage that needed to be fixed.] We will have someone else come out to do the fixes and re-painting. That also includes areas where something is dripping down over the paint from other siding that was supposed to be repaired and was just painted over. I'll have someone else come out to repair broken flagstone damaged by the painters / ladders. I will say the price was good. For normal standards. P.S. I don't understand how Rob can pass judgement on his company's work if he hasn't visited the site. read more

Had a great experience with Paint Denver. We got a few quotes from different painters to paint the exterior of our duplex, with our neighbors graciously joining in, and Paint Denver had the best price. Dave was easy to work with and quick to explain everything. The paint job looks gorgeous and it was finished within a few days of when they began, even though we were covering just about every part of the house and garage. There was no mess left behind, and no missed spots or spills. They covered a lot of extra stuff at no extra charge, so the whole house looks perfect. Very good job! And a good value! read more

After receiving quotes from several other companies, Paint Denver was the most competitive and professional. We are very happy with the crew that came out and performed the work. I must have gotten a bad crew. They completely missed numerous spots near my front door which are the most visible so I was surprised they didn't take extra care there. I will attach pictures where they missed painting around the doorbell, where the deck they painted peeled within months, where they didn't paint around the banister (again by the front door), and where they spilled paint on my front porch. I also had large patches of paint strip off my garage door within a few days because they left the tape on the garage door. When I peeled off the tape, the paint came with it too. It took weeks and weeks and weeks of phone calls and nagging to get them to come back. It was a terrible eyesore for so long, and my neighbors kept asking when the painters were coming back. I did not not have a good experience with paint Denver, although their owner is a great salesman and very likeable. I assume I got an inexperienced crew--most looked like they were in high school, someone who looked to be the age of my fifteen year old was the only one who could communicate with me, and on the last day it seemed like someone's whole family showed up to get the job done. read more

Paint Denver was great. Crew was really polite and professional. They painted 2 rooms for me - medium sized - for about $550 which was really competitive. I am always cautious of the "cheapest" bid b/c you sometimes pay for what you get but they did great. Only 2 areas of concern were I used my own paint (had pre-bought 2 gallons) and the crew lead insisted I needed more. At $60 a gallon I was hesitant but went and grabbed one more. We didn't even open it which was upsetting. And second, I had to wipe off a areas of paint on my floor but really nothing major and easy to do. I am considering painting some molding around my house and will likely go with Paint Denver again. read more

In the past, I had PD paint the main rooms of my house (kitchen, living room, basement, sitting room and upstairs hallway) as well as some cabinetry. This second time around, the job was smaller (3 rooms, touch up after removing carpet in one room, and some staining) but I got the same results. They were done in about 2 days. I called 4 companies, for bids, 2 actually came out when they were scheduled, David from Paint Denver was here within 1 minute of the scheduled time! The crew showed up on the day they were scheduled on time! Later that day when they took their lunch break they also fed me because the kitchen was entirely masked off! Everything was complete and cleaned up within 1.5 days, the other company said it would take 6 days! There was one small place in the kitchen that needed a touch up and they were back out here once I let Rob know and they took care of that too.
