I believe our instructor's name was Hannah. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and encouraging. She brought great energy to the class and got everyone laughing and excited to paint! I love to paint and draw, I just don't have any real creative talent :) It was fun and easy to follow along and even find ways to make the painting your own. The studio itself had great vibes overall. I feel like the staff does a really good job of making the environment really fun and upbeat. There was fun music playing the whole time, which was really nice for painting and socializing. They had a decent selection of beverages, including wine, beer, cider, soda, and water. My boyfriend and I each got a glass of wine (I think they were $9 each), and then we ended up splitting a ginger ale later in the evening. We definitely got our money's worth with the wine, and it was really fun to be able to have a drink in hand while being an ~artist~. Overall, I had a really fun time during the class. I would recommend it to anyone and definitely want to return in the future.

We wished the tables were larger at the venue so we could actually have our supplies and wine glasses not toppling over but we've been to other venues with Corks and Canvas that were more spread out. I'd give the location (Live That Red tasting room) a 2 1/2 but the instructor and class were wonderful. We will definitely go to another event at a different location.

We ordered a few snacks and they were tasty. Unfortunately this event ran late, we waited for one late person for 35 mins and then the whole night got pushed back. There was no offering of a hair dryer to speed up dry time and so we had to leave the event early unfinished. I wish the time allotted was more realistic.

It's nice that everyone was able to do their own booking and we could still get spots sitting next to each other. Some of us were lucky enough to find a 5$ off discount code as well. The class started and ended on time. Everything was set up when we arrived and aprons were provided. It did fill up though so perhaps it is important to register asap. There were two instructors who helped with everything we needed and demonstrated the painting in the front of the room. I liked that the class I took had the pretraced picture on the palette when I arrived. I had previously taken a wine and paint class with another company and it definitely does not look as good due to this. It was also nice that we had a variety of colors to choose from for our background so each picture looked individual. I am surprisingly happy with how mine turned out. A member of our group arrived very late and was still able to catch up and ended up with a great finished product. I think everyone was slightly disappointed that the class did not include any beer from the brewery, but we were able purchase and drink while we painted. One of the instructors ended up doing some waitressing for us as well, which was incredibly nice and allowed us to keep on painting with little distraction. They also did a few raffles for some small prizes which was a nice touch.

They are encouraging and make it a fun event. They are engaged with every single person, and don't try to rush you. I've done a few events with them at Emory's on Silver Lake, and everyone just has a great time. For a non-artist, I'm pretty impressed with my results. It's neat they travel to different locations, so you can find something near you on a specific day and it's easy to sign up! And I LOVE that they do more than just canvas prints, so you can get more creative and not have all these prints and nowhere to put them! The wine bottle lamps are AWESOME.

As someone who hasn't lifted a brush since grade school art class, I was skeptical that I could produce art that would come close to resembling the example. I felt a bit stressed but mostly enjoyed trying something new in the midst of good drinks and good company. While the pacing was a bit uneven, Laura walked us through everything clearly, while also fielding questions and answering them satisfactorily. In the end, I would say everyone produced a nice looking painting, and it was fun to notice the different "styles" between people. I'm happy with my end result! Even if you think you don't have an artistic bone in your body, if someone invites you to this, I recommend giving it a try!

My friend and I were unfortunately sick and couldn't make the first class we booked, so we notified the company in advance and Greg was so helpful and accommodating with getting us set up for a future class. Awesome little pop up shop in NE Seattle where kids and adults can get crafty!…read more Great kids classes for creative kids, first time in this location, but we enjoyed their classes before and its nice to see them in this new NE Seattle space. I particularly like their gift workshops where your child is engaged in multiple fun, creative art projects and comes home with terrific handmade presents for the holidays that are individually hand wrapped. In all seriousness, I don't know what was more impressive: the great art my kiddo produced, or the fact that she beautifully wrapped her own artwork/gifts. They have some really great ideas for kids classes that are simply not cookie cutter. The classes are effectively done: just in time for presents for the holidays. Not a soap carving, macaroni necklace or potholder in sight, these are actually some pretty unique, one of a kind treasures. I appreciate that they stretch the envelope of things that kids can make beyond the normal and routine --here kids can make a tile mosaic, a beautiful decopage bowl, or sugar skulls for Day of the Dead. Some pretty creative stuff. We've signed up for a lot of art classes, and are not fans of the "draw this" school of art instruction, but prefer a fun, truly creative class. I picked two jars. They have a variety of supplies that allowed me to bring my vision to life! The number of colors they have to select from is vast too. They have a wide range of brushes and tools, and I appreciated their two sizes of paint pen detail bottles--perfect for writing! Nicky was so helpful and accommodating. He reviewed how the pair a work and the process thoroughly but succinctly. He brought my chosen pieces out to the table since I had my dog with me. It is dog friendly outside! Not sure about inside. Check out was pretty seamless, and Erica did a great job with my checkout! The prices for the pieces are comparable to ones I saw at another similar establishment, which was good to see.
