Dr. Mia is amazing!…read more She worked with me from January 2023 to August 2023. While she couldn't cure me, 100% she alleviated pain (category 8 down to 3-4). Always, she relaxed me and allowed me an hour to meditate on everything good. I'm sorry that I don't have the funds now to continue seeing her but would recommend her to any who are ailing in body, mind, and soul. She will administer holistic peace . Thank you Dr. Mia! Since I now am located on the Eastside, I wasn't interested in driving all the way to the Wedgewood area in Seattle to see my previous acupuncturist. I searched online and found that Dr. Miao's education and credentials fit my requirements. I went to her with a substantial amount of back, shoulder and arm pain. She did her examination and told me what she would be doing. She quickly inserted a large number of needles asking me how it felt after each insertion to make sure it was providing the right amount of stimulation. After 20 minutes, she came in and removed the needles and did another examination to check on how well the treatment worked. She then asked if I had enough time for cupping. I said yes and she applied several cups and let it do it's work. She also added a couple of patches to wear. After the treatment I had a substantial reduction of pain. I highly recommend her for acupuncture treatment.

What I didn't expect was to feel such immediate relief after my first session. Dr. Wu was a surgeon in China and now provides acupuncture here. How lucky we are! He is not only professional and caring, but it's clear he knows what he's doing when it comes to the human body. I told him the areas of my back that were sore and after a few questions about my pain, he applied the acupuncture needles in the appropriate areas. He explained how acupuncture works, made sure I was comfortable, and left me to relax on the table while the needles did their magic. I have since been back three more times over two weeks and each time my back feels better and better. The office is a clean, comfortable, relaxing space - there are no frills here - it's nothing fancy, but that was exactly what I was looking for. I don't want fancy decor - I want a doctor who knows what he's doing and will alleviate my pain, which is exactly what I'm getting. Each time I arrive for my appointment a room is ready for me so I don't have to wait at all. Dr. Wu asks how I'm feeling and gets right to work. He's courteous, professional, knowledgeable and consistent each and every time I've been. I strongly recommend Dr. Wu for acupuncture - and I have been telling everyone I know to go see him. You won't be disappointed!

Dr. Wu is conveniently located downtown, so my husband is able to see him before he goes in to the office. (An added benefit of acupuncture for him is having an hour of down time to meditate in a dark room before he goes to his stressful job.) Dr. Wu is always on time, efficient, and professional. He seems extremely knowledgeable about medicine and health, and my husband has been feeling better since seeing him. On an administrative note, I am the one who usually calls to schedule the appointments, and even though it never seems like Dr. Wu is writing anything down, he keeps track of everything and hasn't missed an appointment yet! He's also accepts insurance and is easy to work with in that regard.

As part of this endeavor, I decided to do some research on acupuncture providers in the area, read their reviews so I could find an attentive and informative provider to guide me along my entry into self-care and assist with any questions that might arise along the way. I decided on Dr Zhang after reading many great ZocDoc reviews. Great she is. I have been able to relax my mind and take advantage of the relaxing meditative state she is able to put me into. The best part is the cupping at the end, it's like a massage on steroids and she uses a flame cupping method that is very special. To anyone looking to add acupuncture into your life as a stress reliever, mind relaxer, or just as a maintenance healthcare I would highly recommend Dr Zhang as a provider to assist you along your journey. Some quick notes: Parking is super easy! The office is on the basement/lower level. There is a cafe that serves teriyaki bowls, sandwiches, snacks, soda (even with Barqs root beer ) in the main entrance lobby of the building. The bathroom key is by the coat rack. Cheers.

We had a really frustrating experience with this clinic. Before our first visit, we clearly…read moreconfirmed pricing with Dr. Zhang via text, including our Aetna insurance card info. She told us that my boyfriend (the primary subscriber) had met his deductible and would only need to pay $15 per visit, while I (a dependent) would pay $130 since my deductible hadn't been met. We agreed and proceeded based on that information. What's incredibly frustrating is that we followed this exact payment structure for four sessions already -- paying every time using our HSA, just as she instructed. Then, after the fourth visit, we suddenly received a surprise invoice charging my boyfriend over $200, claiming that his deductible wasn't actually met and insurance didn't cover anything. Mine was "self-pay" and the payment went though. How is it possible that the provider "realized" this only after four appointments, when she was the one who confirmed the pricing and checked our insurance from the start? If something had changed, why weren't we told after the first visit -- or even the second or third? To make matters worse, I was charged the original quoted price each time, but the invoice she sent my boyfriend after 2 months was retroactively raised, with additional codes -- none of which were disclosed beforehand. This feels like misleading communication and poor billing practices. If you're using insurance here, I strongly recommend confirming everything in writing and watching your invoices closely. We never would have continued treatment if we knew the costs weren't accurate.

Years later, after a truck smashed into me and I was in pain that my doctor nor massage therapist simply were not able to help with, I was recommended to Dr. Kobata. I was skeptical remembering my previous bad experiences but I was to the point of trying anything. I'm glad I set up an appointment with Dr. Kobata! For the first time, I felt like a person being cared for rather than easy insurance money. Dr. Kobata and team were welcoming and did everything they could to work with my busy work schedule. The office was relaxing and welcoming while the treatments helped relieve my pain. I got to a point where I simply wasn't getting any more out of chiropractor-style medicine and rather than continue with appointments, Dr Kobata referred me to another specialist to go deeper. That to me is a sign of a true health care professional and I greatly appreciated the candidness and eagerness to get my health on track. Completely unexpected! Even though I had moved on, working with a specialist, it had been some time from that point to when my lawyer was finalizing things with the insurance company, Dr. Kobata really came through once again for me and went on record to ensure my case was solid. My lawyer reached out to me to say just how impactful his message was and how he fought for me. Bottom line, I highly recommend Dr. Kobata and should I need a chiropractor, he would be be first and only one to call. Thank you Dr. Kobata for all that you did for me, I'm truly grateful!

When I told him I was pregnant after an embryo transfer (yay!) he very curtly said "congratulations" and then 1 second afterwards he asked "what's next?"
