Paina Cafe, this review is way overdue. From the island style decor, music, and employees to the consistently great tasting food, I don't know what's not to love about this place! Today, I walked in to pick up a bucket of their 20 piece chicken for $15. There are two flavors: the garlic and the salt&vinegar. I opted for the garlic and it was so good.
Everything we ordered at Paina Cafe was a hit. I did the build your own salmon bowl and really enjoyed it, but a heads up for first timers: unlike some poke spots that include a couple toppings, here you pay per topping, so choose wisely. The teriyaki glaze is absolutely worth it, and I'd highly recommend the tempura flakes for the extra texture. The furikake and garlic chips were just okay for me. The garlic chips especially were a little too intense. We also ordered the bento, saimin, and fried chicken, and all of them were excellent. The fried chicken really stood out, super crispy, flavorful, and honestly better than a lot of Hawaiian spots I've tried. Definitely above average. I'm also genuinely impressed by how much the Vegas food scene has grown, especially off the Strip. There are so many great spots now.

Oh my the world is good again we did the whole ordering process with the support of the kind cashier . We opted for something that's not on the menu. It's a bowl, ask for number 16. It has tofu and chicken for us to share . They make mochi donuts here too and they are available all day long. The donuts are available as long as they are available throughout the rest of the day. We had the strawberry shortcake mochi. Oh it was delicious! Let's get to eating now . Mmmm, the pangs of hunger are coming and we need to feed.
We decided to go here to get some mochi donuts and found this place on Yelp to try out. The entire time we waited in line and when we went up to the cashier nobody would make eye contact with us and smile or greet us. It almost seemed like I was annoying that cashier who rang us up. All we ordered were mochi donuts, and the two orders that were after us that were for food were given out before ours. When my husband asked if she could get our mochi donuts, she did so without saying a word or even really acknowledging us. There was a total lack of customer service. The mochi donuts were good and I wish I would say I would be back for that reason but I think I will find another place. As I am big on customer service and respect to the customers.

The places you'd find when you're food scrolling on tiktok. I was trying to find a really cool place to go eat, and I ran across this tick tock of people frying chicken coating it with salt and vinegar and putting it in a bucket. They claimed 20 pieces for $15. And it was pretty local so I knew I had to go check it out. The good news was I had been to this particular area before when I went to early birds last week. So was pleasantly surprised when I saw this place located in the same shopping center. When you walk in, it looks fairly deceiving as it is very clean and very plain. They have some cool wall murals, and pretty basic seating, but overall it looks like a clean and comfortable place to eat. The menu has so many food options for poke bowls to fried chicken, as well as mochi donuts. I was pretty fixated on the 20 pieces of fried chicken for $15 so I went with that with a couple mochi donuts on the side to have for breakfast the next day. I got to tell you, that's a lot of chicken for the money. The breading was absolutely perfect, and although the chicken could use some extra vinegar it was very very tasty. These are like the chicken nuggets you always wanted but didn't know existed. I would eat these all the time if I could. The mochi donuts were absolutely delicious. Have the perfect amount of mochi feel when you bite into them and the icings were on point. I can't wait to go back there and try the poke bowls and other things on the menu. You should definitely add this to your list of places to go check out when you're in Las Vegas. Bottom line? You could not go wrong with the salt and vinegar chicken bucket. Definitely go check this place out if you are looking for something different and delicious to try.
Solid value for your bucks! They have daily specials every weekdays and offer mochi donut desserts. I've gone a couple of times during brunch and dinner time; both were busy, so expect some wait. They have one person taking orders and packing the food, but hoping they can get some additional hands soon. There's maybe four dining tables and some bar stools to dine in. The portions are plentiful and can be shareable. The garlic chicken is good, I like how they top the rice with furikake. Not a fan of the potato/spaghetti salad, but I think you can swap it for more rice.
Food was good but service was not. This place is where you order, pay, and tip before you get your food. I tipped $5 but regretted tipping. It's not the employees' fault. The place is just too busy. I feel like the management needs to hire more people so that the quality of service and wait time improves. For example, they need one employee solely to pack up food and one employee at the register. We dined at the restaurant but saw the tables were dirty. I don't think they have time to wipe down tables. One guy waited forever for his food so we felt bad for him. I want to return to this restaurant. Give this place a try. Food and price is good.

We love ordering their food and mochi donuts to go and this was the first time I've dined in. Paina Cafe is a reliable go-to spot if you are missing home and need some local grinds.
I walked to Paina Cafe after feeling slightly disappointed with a beef curry bun from Pullman Bread close by and was hoping they'd still have Spam musubi available--luckily, they did. Ordering was fast and easy, and the spam musubi was thoroughly enjoyable and really hit the spot. Paina Cafe feels like a reliable go-to, especially if you're craving mochi donuts, Inari, or musubi. Service was friendly and efficient. This location is smaller than the Spring Mountain location, which is the one I usually visit. Overall, I'm glad people in this area have access to a Paina Cafe. It's a solid, dependable option for a quick, satisfying bite.
This was my first time trying Paina Cafe, and it did not disappoint. They have several specialty bowls, or you can create your own. They also offer poke to purchase by the weight if you don't want a bowl. The fish was delicious and they offer a very generous portion. I dropped my rating down to 4 stars because in my opinion, when creating the Build Your Own bowl, additional toppings should not be charged for. 70 cents for each additional topping you add seems a little expensive, especially if you're just adding nori shreds or green onions. It can add up very quickly. Other than that, their specialty bowls are delicious and offer a good amount of toppings for a reasonable price. The fish tastes nice and fresh. Will be coming back when in the area!
The customer service is always great here and they are pretty fast at getting your food. The spam musubi was very good! I tried the inari for the first time this go around and was not a big fan. It was very soggy and drenched in sauce. The tuna did not have much flavor. I don't think I would order again.

I've always driven by here but never stopped by even though I love mochi donuts. Will definitely make this my go to spot whenever I'm craving mochi donuts! My favorite protein dishes all in one bento, it don't get no better than that. Pricing: 10/10, even better that this box is $10 on Wednesday's. Other than that, it is very affordable for the amount of food you get in one box and not to mention the quality of the food. Garlic chicken: 10/10. Crispiness & flavor was absolutely amazing, my favorite thing in the box surprisingly. Teri beef: 3/10 while it did look delicious I found myself having to spit out the meat because it was overly cooked-- super tough. You could sit there and chew for like 3 minutes and not even be able to break it down. That was disappointing cause I was looking forward to that so I only had a few bites before pushing it to the side. Portuguese sausage: 7/10 I'd say it was decent, nothing too special. Flavor was okay, there are better brands out there I feel.. maybe it just needs some pan fried crisp to it to bring the flavor & oils out. Rice: 10/10 perfectly cooked, not mushy at all. Potato Mac salad: 5/10 genuinely was confused with the "Mac" noodles... it was like fine pasta noodles like chicken noodle soup/fideo noodles and there was barely any in there. Not my favorite personally. I hope that next time I do decide to order another bento, their Teri beef won't be over cooked. I'd hope to give it another try. read more

The customer service is always great here and they are pretty fast at getting your food. The spam musubi was very good! I tried the inari for the first time this go around and was not a big fan. Stopped by to pick up a dozen of Mochi Donuts. Place is decent size with decent amount of seating. Service was great! Loved the cute box they use! We brought the donuts for desserts to a dinner- everyone enjoyed the donuts and devoured it. Definitely were a hit! read more
Pa'ina Cafe is a place that serves comforting Hawaiian cuisines and delicious sweet mochi donuts. The cashier was friendly, welcoming, and patient. The store is simply decorated and clean. The cafe has several small tables for inside seating only. One unisex restroom. They also sell other merchandise like t-shirts, etc. *Strawberry Mochi Donut (no pic). Chewy donut with a flavorful strawberry icing. I'll be back to try some other things next time. read more

I love love love the inari from this place. Each bite packs a bunch of flavor, im hungry thinking about it again lol. I got the spicy salmon as the topping but they can also switch it up if you want a different topping. My go to place for a light snack ! The service is quick and it's fairly quiet the times I've been in. read more

Not a large location but it does its job. They are extremely helpful with giving recommendations and suggestions. We ordered the Guava Chicken and a Poke Bowl along with 2 Mochi Donuts! Excited to go back and try other things. read more
A great spot for quality poke. They have poke bowls and plates. You can also create your own bowl which is what we did. Aside from the bowls, you have the option of ordering poke on the side in 4, 8 or 16 oz. Had to grab the 16oz spicy tuna. They also have mochi donuts with variety of flavors. The wait wasn't too long, got served fairly quick. Inside there's a few tables but no outdoor seating. read more

I have tried a lot of poke and this place is for sure one of the best in terms of value and quality. My Kewalo Bowl was chock full of shoyu ahi that was well seasoned and every item had a purpose adding to the flavor experience. Upgrade to the large for the $1 more. It's worth it. They also offer mochi donuts, which are light, bouncy and not over fried tasting either a nice thick glaze that sweetens the experience. The thing that elevated this experience for me over the value, quality and taste was the service of the young lady at the register. It wasn't busy but she made sure that the kitchen was able to accommodate my sesame allergy and overly clarified to ensure that I had the best experience possible. Her friendly personality and recommendations made this a place to go back to again. The restaurant itself was clean with metallic tables, bright lighting and fun poster. If you enjoy poke and live in south west or near spring mountain, check them out! read more

Friendly service, great music, local vibe Cookies and cream mochi donut - yes! Regular donuts are usually too sweet for me; these are just right, and the flavor and chewy texture are perfect. Garlic chicken plate - smells divine! Wonderfully crunchy, salty, and sweet. The potato salad is interesting; it has noodles in it, but I ain't mad at it. The only downside is the smell of the to-go bag... like melted plastic. I thought there was something wrong with my car or that the food melted the to-go container. No, it's just the bag itself. A friend from HI suggested this place and I recently went to check out the newer location on Blue Diamond Food (3/5): I ordered the Nanae Salmon Poke Bowl and I really wanted to like it, but I personally felt like it was overloaded with pickled onions and rice. There were a lot of different toppings, but it didn't seem like they provided a lot of salmon, especially since I got the large size. The mochi donuts were great, however, and it was delicious trying a few different flavors. Service (5/5): we ordered takeout and our service was fast and friendly Ambiance (5/5): it's a small, but well designed restaurant. While we waited for our food, it was fun looking at the wall art and various options of desserts and food in the fridge. Overall (4/5): it's a good place to check out if you want desserts like ube custard pies or mochi donuts, but the poke fell short of my expectations. I'd like to give it another try in the future, maybe trying the poke crunch bowl, since it seems like it has no onions. read more

This was my first time trying Poke in Vegas! Paina Cafe was recommended to me by a few friends and it did not disappoint. I got the Nanea Salmon with spicy tuna and a Spam Musubi. The taste of the poke was delicious and very good quality. I've never had masago before, but I loved it and it added such a great flavor to the bowl! Very filling meal too for the price. The Spam Musubi was simple, but still good! I got delivery and the food was still hot and good when it arrived! Will be ordering from here again (: read more
