This branch is located in quite an old building, like a good number of Post Offices are, the only entrance is up a few steps, which is even used to transport mail in and out as the store does not have a ramp, it has a wheelchair button for access, however, this didn't appear to be working on my visit. The store inside seemed a bit messy and other than having one or two self-service machines, the queuing system wasn't handled fairly well. The staff situation was a little weird, they seemed kind yet unhelpful, perhaps this was an issue with their training which was a shame. For the main reasons of access, overall feel etc, I sadly feel this Post Office branch really lets the whole Post Office brand down as a whole, and sadly deserves a single one-star rating.

The majoity of the staff are very helpful but there is one member who is slow and not very helpful. I have heard them have stand up rows with several people as they can have a condescending manner. Some lunch times can be very quiet and some are very busy. You can walk right up to the counter or be waiting 20 minites. There is no pattern to it, days of the week or date in the month seem to make no difference. There is a Christian bookshop to the back of the post office and a small restaurant upstairs which does does good, wholesome food. It is not very cheap, but it is all made fresh on the premises.

Most of the other counter staff are lovely and helpful, and even during the busy times (always seems to be busy!) They're patient, and one even helped me THREE times to get a difficlut passport application sorted without getting as frustrated as I was! HOWEVER - we have actually had to tell our staff that they are explicitly NOT to deal with this one certain individual - the most annoying, condescending, rude counter staff I have EVER dealt with. Everything takes ten times as long as it needs to, and everything is a bloody inconvenience for him!!!!! Otherwise - efficient post office, clean, easy to access, just try to avoid before work, lunch and after work rushes.
