Was out at Paganica for a round of 18 with my dad. I had set up a tee time online for 2:45pm and arrived at 2:30. When i entered the club house, there were, what seemed like, two employees sitting around, one on a computer and the other watching the bar tv. I was not acknowledged when i entered and being the first time that i went to this course I didn't know where to go to check in and pay for the tee time. I then went to the pro shop because I had forgotten my sunglasses and was looking for a new club and I still wasn't even acknowledged. I was honestly thinking that it was just a honer system course because no one even said hi to me or asked if i needed help. The kicker was two other people, who I assume were members or at least regulars came in and the employees would acknowledge them and talk with them, but after the members left they fell silent again without even asking if i needed help with anything.
After my dad arrived, which was around 2:50 I decided to make a deal out of it because at the same time a group of kids showed up and again they received attention while both my dad and I were left to the side. After letting them know that we were here for a tee time, the one who was on the computer became short with me and he had asked when we wanted to get in. When I had said that we already had one for 2:45pm he checked us off the list and had us pay. This brought up another couple problems.
When we had reserved the tee time on the courses website it had said that it would be $25 for 18 holes with cart per person, but at the club house they said it was $35. I didn't want to bring this up as the person was already annoyed with us, but something needs to be corrected about this. The other problem was that they didn't accept plastic, which I remedied by using the ATM but in this present time you would expect almost everyone to accept plastic.
The course was pretty well upkept, though on some holes the rough was cut almost as short as the fairway and on others it was really overgrown. Also there was a dead crow sitting at hole 11's Teebox, which it looked like it was sitting there for a while.
This was not an enjoyable experience and I'm not sure about coming back here because of the ways that the employees treat non regulars. Though the course was alright. read more
