    Padrino's -- stromboli
    L L.

Stromboli was decent. Tasty side sauce, oily crust, good ratio of cheese and pepperoni filling. It hit the spot before a night hike owl prowl at Norristown Farm Park, and that was all it needed to do. My kid's chicken fingers were not tasty, crust left a bitter taste in your mouth (like buttermilk which to me, is vile), and the fries are very cheap quality batter dipped junk that taste like "potato flavor substance". The trend used to be the hand cut real potatoes, now this nonsense is like the Fentanyl of fries. But package it up like it's a "foodie" fad and voila, cope with inflation by selling crap to masses. Place packed on a Friday and staff behaved decent, and food on time.

    Stromboli

So I recently learned that ownership changed after picking up my food. I have been going to Padrinos for years. I typically get the steak Stromboli. The dough was good but there was not much meat. Lots and lots of cheese, which is a huge difference than how the prior owners used to make it. I did order the marinara sauce and meat balls which we did enjoy. I also ordered the hot wings, which were meaty but they were very mild in spice. I do hope it gets better.

My favorite pizza spot. Chicken bacon ranch Sicilian is amazing! I go there 3-4 times a week. They never disappoint. Must try!

Best pizza in the area, great customer service. I'm not a huge fan of their hoagies or salads but their pizza is awesome.

Mix of four tops - some larger groups ... not a lot of families/ kids though. I was early but they seated me ( appreciated that). Took my drink order - Brought out bread and a really great dipping sauce while I waited. I got the chicken parm w / pasta ... friends got the specials ( a seafood pasta and another pasta dish). We all loved the food! Service was awesome - Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out quickly. One odd thing - the fire alarm went off. But - instead of panicking the staff kept us informed and no one freaked out. It was a malfunction I guess because it went off again for a few minutes but we were told there was no fire etc ( relieved) We enjoy the Library in Collegeville which they also own - they know what they are doing for sure!!

I had the salmon w/crispy prosciutto sandwich which they plated sans bread to accommodate my gluten allergy. My friend got the chicken parm sandwich and I can highly recommend both. The tiramisu and creme brûlée are both made in house and were delicious. Our server was first class--equal parts friendly and attentive. And, last but certainly not least--one of the *best* espresso martinis can be found here. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch and/or dinner.

Everything was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, and the crispy potatoes were absolutely to die for. While my swordfish came out slightly cold and a tad bland, the quality and taste of the rest of the meal more than made up for it. The service was strong, especially considering how busy New Year's Eve can be. We were taken great care of by who I believe was the manager for the evening, which made the experience feel especially welcoming and well managed. Our server seemed extremely busy, and while we wish he could have been a bit more accommodating, it was clear he was juggling a lot and still handled everything wonderfully. My family comes to Tressini very often and we always look forward to dining here. it's a place we truly enjoy and trust for a great meal. The only things we'd love to see improved are a bit more variety on the menu and more dessert options, as there was a heavy focus on gelato. Overall, another lovely experience, and we'll definitely be back again soon. It was definitely packed for the holiday, but it was not crazy loud to the point where you can't hear yourself so no complaints on the ambiance.

We ate in the restaurant before driving home. The food in the restaurant was so good. We started off with supli sampler which are the Roman version of arranchini. They were soooo good. Each type was really good. We wished they had served them with Marinara. Would have made them even better. Super crunchy! I also had a limoncello spritz which was just ok. Wish the waiter had told us the bread was $8.50. That's steep for some basic focaccia bread. We shared the carbonara which was phenomenal. I have been trying hard to find one that was very authentic and we found it. I will be dreaming of it for a while. Then I got some things to go. Everything in the cases looked delicious. The Prosciutto Cotto (uncooked prosciutto) sandwich was ok but the mustard was too strong and overpowered the sandwich. It would be better if they didn't put condiments on and let the person put on what they liked. I also thought the prosciutto was low grade prosciutto and tasted more like American ham. Wish they had prosciutto Parma which is the best. Disappointing. My mom and I loved the focaccia pizzas I got in the grocery area of the store. She had the tomato version and I had the cacio e Pepe. Both were very good. The restaurant and the grocery sections are the best thing about it. I'd go to the restaurant, skip the sandwich next time and get pizzas and pastries. They looked really good and I regretted not getting some.
