We searched for a cigar smoking lounge in the general area where I was staying. Not trying to be a…read moresnob in any way, shape or form, but this is a small place, no spirits are being served due to no Liqueur license or permits as of yet. Although they do sell coffee, soda, water and sports drinks. By the way, you arent permitted to bring your own spirits in either. A bit disappointed with that because I just won't drink soda with a fine cigar...its just wrong in every way. So I decided on a medium roast coffee, because they were out of a dark roast, which was made from a Pod and not freshly brewed. The lounge does have a humidor with a variety of cigars. And not that they had a poor or a small selection, but lets just say that I was happy I brought my own. The gentleman who greeted us ( Raul) gave us the run down of the lounge, was polite, informative and professional. Although I wish we had known or was informed of this, but we unknowingly entered an open doored area that was apparently only for its "members" and was asked to exit the area. No big deal. Although my daughter is of the legal age of 21, unfortunately like many businesses in Albuquerque, they wouldn't accept my daughter's vertical drivers license. And I understand NM has their own laws on vertical vs horizontal DL's, but to not accept a US Passport was a bit too much. And trust me, I do understand I was in New Mexico. I maintained my bearing, professionalism and discipline. As a law enforcement officer in a state where the laws are much stricker when it comes to the sale of tobacco and alcohol products or services to a minor, trust me I understand completely.... but to say they don't honor her United States passport? Well, that really sort of put a damper on the nights experience. Okay...maybe its just what I may be accustomed to, but I want to enjoy my Padrons in comfort and with a feshly prepared adult beverage and not be nudged or climbed on by the residents bulldogs. If my review seems a bit harsh...Its not meant to be,but I'm built different and I believe in being honest for criticism for future growth of a business or establishment. I do wish this establishment luck in its future endeavors because its does have potential.

The menu was listed as cast of characters/script, which was lots of fun. Our group was about 20 people, which I'm sure was a challenge, but our server was great and kept us all with full glasses and no waiting. There is a small parking lot with free parking. It was full by the time I got there, but it was easy and free to park on the street nearby. They had a great selection of local beer, wine and creative cocktails. Didn't really try the food but the drinks were great. Would definitely go back!

When you go in the entrance the bar is to the left and is now kinda of a speakeasy. It's dark, nicely done, music playing and fancy cocktails being made. They don't have a huge menu but you can get some appetizers, sandwiches, etc. We had some non traditional nachos which were very good. The service was also very good. When we left the bar, I checked out the restaurant that was to the right when you walked into the front door of the Copper Lounge. It's has a very nice ambiance and it's not dark like the bar was next door. Don't have any other info on it but looked very nice. I would recommend checking these places out if you are looking for something very different from the usual places.

The cigar was not the best I've had but the experience at Volcano Smoke is always top notch. Classico Lucky Cigar Very nice smell to the cigar. Whole tip Cut. Upon lighting up it has a really nice fragrance. The cigar had a lot of smoke output. Taking the first few draws there was a creamy light bodied flavor. A lot of earthy flavors. The cigar has a nice light shade Connecticut wrapper from premium grade tobacco, along with a recipe of long leaf ligero tobaccos from the Nicaraguan regions of Ometepe and San Andres. The result is a rich and creamy smoke, mild to medium-body and pleasant aroma. I did have a burn out not even half way through. I am not sure if I over heated the cigar but it got close to turning out end then I gave it a few draws smoke output was good then about 45 seconds in it was out again. I think the foot of the cigar got too hot and just tarred up. I did cut about 1/12 of the cigar foot off and re-toasted it but it burned out again. Overall the cigar was pretty nice. Had a spice taste to it along with the earthy tastes. I probably wouldn't buy this cigar for myself but it was a nice light to med bodied cigar. I only got half way through and didn't finish the last 1/3 of it. Didn't leave a strong Tabasco taste after and overall I pretty pleased. It's just not my style or flavor. I like more of a sweet or light/ medium bodied maduro stick.

Overall has a very "come in knowing what you need or gtfo" vibe. No one can explain anything to you, and you're followed all around, expected to make a decision as soon as you stop at the counter. The shop shuts down at the weirdest time. Literally the only business aside from a bank and offices that shuts down at 6pm. God be with you If you get there an hour before; the doors are locked and have you call someone's phone to come let you in. And you better hurry the fuck up so they can "clean" and go home. Every time I've been here, I had to call to enter, and rush to figure out what I needed. Not too sure about that whole "wonderful customer service" bs in other reviews. I used come in the evenings (I have a job, and I'd like to smoke after a long day of sacrificing my youth, kill me) and I always saw 2 people which I presume to be the owners. An older Hispanic couple. Bald guy, and a lady with some short curly hair. Both of them have 0 idea about their own product. They read the label, hand you product, and if you have questions, they regurgitate the label back at you in hopes you'll STOP asking questions. It makes me really nervous, suspicious, and bothered that these people sell product they're unfamiliar with. I asked what Delta-8 was and got "oh well it's 1 level down from Delta-9" followed by a blank stare. That's it. WELL NO SHIT! Thank God for the internet. Anyway..aside from the ignorant, and unhelpful staff, The Volcano's pieces, papers, and paraphernalia (if that's your thing. I don't judge) are pretty cool. Kinda pricey. Lots of stuff. Huge selection. If you live nearby, know what you want, googled stuff before you go in, and can get here before 6pm, maybe this is the place for you. I personally choose to go to either of the other two smoke shops just under 1 mile off in either direction (they close at 9).
