I've been to Hookah Kings over a dozen times now, and it's a great spot to catch up with friends and relax with a bowl. My current favorite flavor is in Angel lips, which is considered premium. I've also only have had pleasant experiences with the staff and owner of hookah Kings, which is why I keep coming back! I recently spent an evening there, where I was able to play Mario kart with a friend and couple of boardgames that they keep in the center of the lounge. I'm also a big fan of their Turkish coffee and Sage tea, which can be ordered with any of the staff members. Overall, it's a great place to wind down after a long work week, or a place to wind up before you head to the club. read more

The best hookah lounge on the west side of town. I'm a big hookah fanatic and own quite a few. Great place to kick back and have some friendly conversation. Abbo and Pascoe are super friendly and make some great bowls. The hookah selection is usually pretty full and they always have nicely varied supply of shishas to pick from. The prices are decent and the stock is always well kept. The seating is usually pretty comfortable and is a great place to hang by yourself or to bring some friends with. The outside patio is nice and there's always a pretty nice atmosphere about the place. Very welcoming and entertaining. Awesome place to go and definitely a place to check out if you like hookah and conversation. Abbo will always be a friendly face. read more

Not impressed :( The atmosphere wasn't of a lounge at all. Some teens came in and was talking to the guy who was in charge and he didn't pay much attention to us. The tobacco wasn't that great of quality because the taste wasn't what it said. Being from the Bay Area (San Francisco), I've been to great hookah lounges. read more

Great experience! The new management has truly turned this hookah lounge around. The mixes are delicious and they serve authentic Arab tea. They no longer allow cigarettes and cigars inside which makes the experience much better! A large variety of drinks and snacks for purchase. This place was disgusting. I saw the pictures of the patio online and wanted to check it out. We walked in and there were people strewn across couches watching the New Girl - including the guy who was working there. It looked like a bad movie set in a heroin den. I ordered and he told me he was out of mint shisha. How does that happen? But no worries, I was willing to buy the pack of shisha and have them add it in. We went outside and about 10 minutes later the hookah showed up. The word unsanitary doesn't begin to describe the shape of this hookah. There were things floating in the yellow water, and there was dripping, sticky tobacco (molasses) coming down the entire thing. Both hoses were broken. I asked about an ice hose and the guy said they were all broken but he would check for me. Hookah tasted nothing like it should've. It tasted like stale, putrid water. We stayed another five minutes just long enough for me to get up the courage to go in and ask for a refund. The place gets one star because the refund was granted. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Once Jon sold the place it went totally down hill. The prices are now ridiculous, he is taking away the weekend deal of 10 all you can smoke. He's playing some stupid music that gives you a headache, he can't pack bowls, and fired all the old associates of this place. At least those associates knew how to pack bowls and were friendly. If you liked Kings before, I suggest not coming back here anymore. He will be adding live bands and belly dancers and that's not Kings. I'm sorry but we will not be returning here anymore and we were regular customers for years. I will seriously be surprised if this place is still open by next year. read more

I have came here a few times to just sit and smoke there with some friends. the customer service is horrible, in fact once you get your hookah set up you don't get anybody to come back and check your coals or even just ask how everything is, unless of course you are some teens that apparently go everyday to flirt with the worker. the quality of the tobacco is not top quality, and now they don't even put ice in the base. The couches are all torn up, the bathroom is dirty, it is very run down. I go here maybe once a year, I'm always disappointed and so are my friends. But i have came to just go in with the mentality that its going to be bad customer service in a dirty environment with mediocre tobacco, that way i don't pull my hair out and run out the store filled with a major let down read more

Four friends and I went to Hookah Kings last night, we had been there before, and the 2 girls working there had no idea how to pack a bowl. Our bowl burnt out within 5 minutes of smoking, when we brought it to the girls attention they took about 20 minutes to get a new bowl and made the same mistake. When I had been to hookah kings previously the customer service was great and they typically were quick when asked for a new bowl, I was really disappointed last night when we left. read more

Went to Hookah Kings last night for the first time, and I was not impressed at all. The two women working seemed to be to comfortable and had bad customer service. The blonde took 15 minutes to get our bong set up and the shisha wasn't good, I don't know if they packed enough into the bowl and the coals weren't buring good. It got harsh really fast and make my throat burn. No one was coming around to ask if we were doing good, the girls seemed to talk to the people they knew. The manager was nice and helped me out with my hose. The second girl with the sweater took about 15 or 20 minutes to change out the bowls and she just changed it and walked off, no "anything else I can do for you?" or nothing. They should be fired. And again the bowl was packed cheap. The shisha got harsh really fast and after that my sister and I just left. Also it is to dark in the building. LASTLY, YOU NEED MORE MUSIC VARIETY!!! Should play all genres of music, not just that sad emo stuff. Thank you. It seems like it could be a great place if they got more interactive employees and people who actually know how to pack the bowls. I would work there so it would be done right and attend to the people. read more

Last night we decided to go back and visit this location after new owner took over as we've been told , it was worth it , a new atmosphere seems to be great , a big improvements in terms of furniture, customer service and too many choices of drinks and snacks , even we noticed a drop of the price and too many promotions , we sat in the patio and the new owner turned on the outside heater unit and kept checking on us often to make sure we are doing ok , I will recommend this place to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy . Fantastic service, the entire staff is friendly and attentive!! Their options are endless, premium flavors and super FIRE house mixes (ask about their secret menu!).. The fruit heads are my absolute favorite! I love smoking orange mint or Irish peach out of an orange or grapefruit head - sooo tasty and an upgraded premier experience. This is the absolute cleanest and most comfortable lounge in Albuquerque hamds down. Don't bother with Bubble Lounge or Terrene as they take your money and never talk to you again. I highly recommend this place! read more

Two members of my party were female both smoking cigars. I have had the pleasure of being at multiple cigar lounges across the country, all patrons have been welcoming to everyone. These comments caught me off guard.

The classic line we're told is that there's a great shipment coming in but she's holding them for Ren Fairs and not selling them in the store itself! Really? I consider this a bad business practice. Willing to spend good money an a good pipe but the store has nothing for me. Does she even know that we've been in looking for half and full bents? Lots of small-bowled shorties and straight stems but I don't like them. Sorry but the selection was just lacking every time. I have found another cigar/pipe/tobacco shop in Albuquerque with a greater selection and I've bought cigars, pipes and tobacco there; and they have a huge humidor for cigar lovers. I got the chico bite cbd chocolate, it was super tasty and really hit the spot. I also saw cbd for pets! So unique, I picked one up to see if it really works on the little furry beasts at home. The guy that helped me was Dominic, and he was super helpful, and showed me all the products and asked what I was looking for and explained their choices well. It's a cannabis dispensary that mostly serves top shelf thc products, pre rolls etc, but they have some cool products for sleep and relaxation that I personally went there to get. Another cool thing they told me is they are about to open up a consumption lounge and you'll be able to hang out, play games (which I saw they already had setup at the tables), and spend some high times with your friends hahaha.
