If you live in the Des Peres, Kirkwood, Glendale, Rock Hill area you should be going to West County…read moreVision to see Dr McReynolds for your eye care needs. We had the pleasure of knowing Dr McReynolds for about 10 years. Then lost touch with her when she moved to another practice. Then when we lived in Kirkwood and found out she had opened up West County Vision we were happy to have her close by again. She took care of all our family optician needs during our stay in Kirkwood. She is friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and compassionate. The office staff and optician will make sure you find the right pair of glasses that best suits you. We have never felt rushed, they take the time to get to know you and your family. West County Vision reminds me of that small town practice that knows their patients. Check them out, you'll be glad you did. (Full disclosure, we no longer live in the area)

If you're looking for the best eye doctor in metro St. Louis, I can confidently recommend Dr…read more McReynolds. Everything about her office is spot-on: West County's staff is friendly & efficient, they have top-of-the-line diagnostic equipment, and Doc McReynolds is kind, perceptive, and professionally astute. She's also great with kids. The office has a selection of eye gear & frames in the lobby, and they will facilitate contact lens orders for you. It's definitely one of the most thoughtfully managed medical-related groups our family has used, and Dr. McReynolds stands above any optometrist we've met over the course of multiple-state relocations. The St. Louis/Kirkwood area is fortunate to have such a great resource.

Great customer service while at my appointment. Thank you…read more ............................................................ I would truly rate this business with 5 stars, without blinking an eye. I am only rating with 2 stars, in hopes to improve the quality of their customer service, based on a single employees behavior. I walked in today to schedule an appointment. The girl at the front desk was very sweet and got my setup with an appointment. I believe she may still have been in training, because she had to check with a coworker to assure she was giving me the right answers. Props to her in the customer service field! The person (blonde hair) who she was asking the questions, came to the front desk. She wasn't sure on the answer neither, so she yelled to someone else. (My question was: Do they carry a type of contact that is worn overnight to correct someone's vision... So that glasses nor contact are needed in the day.) When her coworker (purplish reddish hair--Trish?) came to the front and treated me as if I was stupid. Her response to my question (in a very pissed off and disturbing way), "Why would someone wear contacts at night and then not wear them in the daytime, or why would someone sleep in their glasses but then run around all day without them!?! That just doesn't make any sense, now does it?!"

I went to Clarkson, even though I promised myself after using them in 2020, to never use them…read moreagain. I should have listened to myself. The eye exam by Dr. Graf was standard and unremarkable. The issues started when I wanted to select lenses and frames. The prices were so high I asked why and she said I had no insurance, which I did. Then the pricing went higher before vision benefit was applied resulting in pricing near the no insurance level. I decided not to order glasses there. Then I was presented with a bill for $99 for the exam. I was told it was for a $50 co pay and $49 for refraction. I said my insurance covered refraction and I had no co pay required. She didn't relent and I paid. I just checked my explanation of benefits a week later and I was correct. Now I have to try to get my $99 back. Never again.
