It's also one of the few BBW stores in Houston that I haven't witnessed the constant, brazen shoplifting that has unfortunately become commonplace in retail and especially in this crime ridden city. I was immediately greeted and directed to where I could pick up my online order. This was a simplified process. I decided to get another scent that I did not order online, as well as trade out one that I had ordered online for something I liked better. They worked with me and were so gracious in allowing me to make my trade out, and I appreciated it. There was a scent that I wanted that this location ran out of, they were kind enough to call the neighboring store for assistance (their Rice Village location) just minutes away. The Rice Village location had what I needed and then some! Something that really impressed me about the Rice Village team was how friendly and warm they were! Their customer service was on 10! I believe it's about $55-60 per person and each person gets to make two 7oz candles. Personalized touches Include: scent choice and naming the candle. The scents here are great! It was fun exploring all the different notes and profiles. The class is about an hour and everything is provided. As a "student" you get to melt down your wax, smell/ pick your scents, mix scents, pour wax, mix the candle, add your wick, and label your candle. The process is really fast. The longest part is waiting for your candle to cool down/ dry. We were given an estimate between 3.5-4 hours. So plan your day around the area or come in the following day for pick up. This was not regulated or enforced if you will. People took our spots and mind you our slot was 630 so you know we could've gone to dinner or done something else. I just feel the whole thing was a waste of my time. The buildings are interconnected and the space is large, with a parking lot that surrounds it. There are multiple entrances so don't forget where you parked. From household goods to furniture, cosmetics to jewelry, clothing to eclectic gifts and knickknacks, there is so much to explore. The staff are so friendly and welcoming throughout the store. There are individual sections for kids and adults, whether you're looking for baby gifts, toddler toys, plushies, or fancy home decor, greeting cards and stationary, or 3D puzzles. The variety is definitely not lacking, however it is more expensive than the typical gift boutique, but in my opinion worth the price tag. The store is an entire experience with complimentary gift wrap if you please at the end, plus margaritas to sip on while you browse. If I could give them 0 stars I would…read more From July 30th till September 16th I have experienced unexplained delays, lack of transparency, and no accountability. On July 30th, I was told my item would be shipped to my address within 30 days. However, it is now September 16th and I was told the process was never initiated AND my item still needs to be reviewed with internal partners for an update that will take 7-10 more business days. When I requested basic information such as the current location of my item, the applicable commission rate for compensation if they misplaced it , and a reason of what went wrong the company and its staff responded that they have "no further updates" on either point. I have not received confirmation that my item is accounted for, what the next steps actually are, or who is responsible for resolving this. They keep re-sending the same emails and not answering a single question. This is not the level of service or security I expect when entrusting someone with my valuable personal property. At this point, I have no visibility into where my item is, what is being done about it, or what I will be compensated if they cannot process it. Their consignment concierge team of Jasmyne, Mika, and Toya are unprofessional, careless, and simply awful. I regret that I ever came across them and pray to God no one ever has the same experience I've had. Hopefully I get my item back or that's $1800 down the drain because of their carelessness and irresponsibility. I'm truly sick to my stomach.
