Service was super friendly and quick, Rico at the bar, hope I spelled that right, hooked us up right away. It probably helped by the fact that it was daytime so not at all crowded. Dive bar vibes for sure, but it's bigger than I would expect for a dive. Tons of games like pool, darts, pinball, and even a beer pong machine for two players, never seen that before, but surprisingly fun. Machines were about a dollar a game, so nothing crazy. Street parking was free for a couple hours where I was and there's indoor and outdoor seating. Women's bathroom had some hilarious messages and divorce dad music playing constantly. I liked it, my mom, not so much. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area and want a to just chill and drink.

A Fantastic New Irish Pub!…read more My golf group and I typically head out for an early dinner after our afternoon round, and we decided to give the new Delany's Public House on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch a try. We arrived to find the place absolutely packed and buzzing with energy. Since it was their Grand Opening, I was told at check-in that they were completely booked for the evening. I was admittedly disappointed, but the owner, Kevin, overheard us and said he might be able to work something out. He certainly did! Kevin seated the five of us at a pub table in the beautiful main bar and assured us he would work on finding us a larger, more comfortable table. Considering how incredibly busy the restaurant was, we were impressed that our drink order was taken almost immediately. Our cocktails and ice cold Guinness arrived quickly, which was no small feat given the crowd! Kevin continued to keep us updated, and before we had even finished our drinks, he had moved us to a larger, cozy table where we could relax and enjoy our dinner. That kind of personal attention and hospitality really stood out. The menu offers an extensive selection with plenty of Irish favorites. The braised lamb shank was fantastic, the Shepherd's pie was delicious, and the fish and chips were quite tasty. There was something for everyone, and everything we tried was thoroughly enjoyed. The server was great as well! The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. The main bar truly captures the spirit of an Irish pub while presenting it in an upscale, sophisticated way. It's lively, welcoming, and has a wonderful atmosphere. A big shout-out to Kevin for going above and beyond to make sure our group was taken care of, especially on such a crazy busy Grand Opening night. That level of hospitality makes a lasting impression. Delany's Public House is definitely a welcome new addition to our community, and Kevin has already created a repeat customer in me. We'll be back!
