While Dr Kennedy left a few years ago we have continued to get stellar service and care. My sons (especially the youngest) require quick and dedicated care and not once has this office let us down. The fact that someone is ALWAYS on call is vital to us and not something you get at most Doctors offices these days. I've been told by a bunch of friends that they get told at their kids peditrician's office is "if it's not during office hours you have to go to the E.R." When you have a child with a rare condition that is not something you want to hear. As far as the not allowing a patient to come with non custodial parent or guardian. Only those who have legal custody have the authority to allow shots and other treatments. I'm sure this got started because a step parent or boyfriend/girlfriend of a custodial parent or a non custodial parent okayed something that the person with custody did not agree to. This is just like how you can't get a passport for your child unless each parent is there and okays it in person.

Dr. Zagar figured me out in a single visit. I followed up on his idea with my team of physicians and I was diagnosed with a rare syndrome, the treatment for which has me experiencing less daily pain than I have in 15 years. I had seen other neurologists before and no one had a clue. I have to say that I think Dr. Zagar is some kind of diagnostic wizard. Others caused damage in my arms and hands blowing out veins, fishing around inside for a vein, and causing horrible bruises. I've only been seeing her for a bout a year now but I've been a few times already as I got the flu and I needed a physical. I'm also diabetic and while I see an endocrinologist regularly for that, she was very attentive to my diabetes and wants to stay updated on my endocrine appointments. As for my grandmother, when my grandma passed, it was Dr. Nwangwu's who listened to her symptoms and really investigated. She was able to help find the cause of her pain shortly before her passing. It was unexpected and the answers came as a result of the thorough labwork Nwangwu had ordered. I've never had to wait longer than 15 minutes (I've visited the office probably 6 or 7 times this year) and when I had trouble initially and misunderstanding with my insurance claim, I questioned my bills and they reviewed each claim with me. I was even offered a discount on my portion since I'd felt there had been some misunderstanding regarding my insurance/initial visit. She's great.

I've been a patient at OSG since July 2016 after a terrible car accident (100% other driver's fault…read moreon I95 rear-end collision with my car) for which I'm still in treatment. I've had wonderful care by the doctors, their staff and the chiropractor I've been treated by at OSG. However, I've had horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE treatment by administrative staff, most especially Billing Dept staff. Now, I have insurance covering the majority of my care so all I had were copays which I maxed out the out-of-pocket by mid-year, each year. Being unable to work, unemployment running out, and waiting for a disability determination and food stamps, I lost my job, my home and finally my apartment in December 2017. I explained this to the Billing Dept (I owed less than $300) that I was now living in my car in Winter and getting $25 gift cards to buy gas and food from my social services counselor. I desperately needed reports sent from my doctors to my attorney so he could negotiate a settlement in my case and I could hopefully afford a modest apartment and living expenses. I assured them they would be paid ANY outstanding bills as I still needed continued care. THE STAFF IN THE BILLING DEPARTMENT REFUSED TO RELEASE ANY REPORTS UNTIL MY BILL WAS PAID. I needed to see my doctor for an appointment which they allowed me to do WHEN I PAID HALF OF WHAT I OWED AT THAT TIME. It is now March 16, 2018 and the Billing Dept. still HAS NOT RELEASED MY DOCTORS' REPORTS. I am still living in my car and my health continues to deteriorate and my situation to worsen. I received $16 a month from the State of CT to live on which I'm appealing and I'm still waiting on disability determination. It's still Winter and it is very cold living in a car. I potentially could have been living in a warm space if my lawyer could have worked out a settlement before the end of 2017, BUT HE DIDN'T HAVE THE REPORTS FROM THE OSG DOCTORS. THE ONLY DOCUMENTATION MISSING AND STANDING IN HIS WAY IN MOVING FORWARD ON MY BEHALF. The doctors are great, but BEWARE, the Administrative Staff, i.e. Billing have Hearts of Stone. No Compassion. No Empathy. These People Should Not Work For Any Healthcare Agency--Ever!!!

Because he is…read moregifted professional and because he listens to what his patients have to say he was able to diagnose a tumor in my spinal canal at the base of my skull that was gradually cutting off my spinal cord. He found what other doctors missed and sent me for an MRI when others couldn't be bothered. Dr. Galante sent me to the best surgeon for the job, Dr. Isaac Goodrich. As a team they saved me. I can run, ride a bike, shovel snow and live a normal life 14 years later. Without them I would have been a quadriplegic 13 years ago. His staff has come through for me in other emergencies too such as a burst appendix, but it's not just the emergencies in which Dr. Galante excels. He has common sense solutions to health that involve diet and exercise without relying on pharmaceuticals to cure every problem - a trait I think will lead to a healthier and longer life.
