I told her that I was going to Hawaii and needed a simple, classic black swimsuit. She immediately took me to prints. I said that black was what I wanted, so she took me to black. I also said that I was a fan of Bleu|Rod Beattie (sp?) because I had previously purchased a few suits from that line at Swim 'n Sport. Instead of letting me browse, Debra kept inserting her suggestions into my line of view. Some I liked, some I didn't. She continued to take me to the printed suits. I continued to say they weren't my taste. This was starting to get annoying. I finally chose a print to appease her. When I started in the fitting room, I knew immediately which suits were and were not right. With a suit on, I called to her and asked if there was a bottom that fit a bit higher. The other salesclerk (who was standing behind the counter) said I needed to come out to show them what I was wearing. I refused. (Mind you, she wanted me to walk out of the dressing room where I would be exposed to ANYONE walking past outside the store whilst clad in a bikini that was unflattering). She insisted. Again, I refused. At this point, she was annoyed. Needless to say, at this point I was annoyed as well. I tried on a few pieces and all the while Debra continued to show me pieces that I had already browsed (and politely refused). She never truly LISTENED to me and was obviously trying to upsell me at every turn. THIS MADE ME VERY IRRITATED. ***Because they have a no return policy on swimwear, I began to feel like she wanted me to make impulse purchases on pieces that weren't really my style.*** In the end, there was a suit that I very much liked from Skye, but honestly, I just didn't want to purchase anything from this store. The experience was so unpleasant that I decided to go online and purchase the same suit elsewhere.

Once you get to know the product better, you get a feel for what works, what tries too hard, and what looks good on you. Once you know your correct size and preferred style, I highly recommend shopping for bathing suits on sale, but remember that all sales are final on ridiculously low priced clearance items, so make your selections carefully. As far as returns ,if you are willing to accept store credit, then you get the full amount to apply to another purchase, but if you want a refund, then the consumer must pay the return postage. My experiences with customer service have been terrific, and they recently made the returns process much easier.

This is not only a surf shop this is an institution of surfing. Bill Has been surfing in these…read moreparts for maybe 45-50 years now. Yes he is older then me and we know almost all the same surfers. From the people that I remember teaching me the hows and how nots. The do and don't of surfing from when I was just a little grom as we call them today. Back in the day they just called us the surf rats. Bill used to surf the north jetties before they were even cool. I surfed here a few times and now this is just about the only place I surf. With bad health problems I sometimes need my car close by. Now this place closed for a couple of year and was even on the market. But it didn't sell so Bill put some serious labor into it and made the place look mighty sweet. A far cry from the old almost run down place of the past. But you could get anything that you needed from baggies to some wax. It was also one of the only shops that used to carry the infamous Rozo Surfboards. It is nice to see the old shop backup and running again. They now carry a lot more boards and SUPs and kayaks too. I'm so glad that I don't have to go back to the beach for a simple bar of wax.

This last time I went in, I walked in, saw 2 women standing and talking. They continued to chit chat the entire time I was there. Not once during my time there searching for bras, and trying on numerous bras, was I greeted, or offered help. I wasn't certain those two women were employees, but they confirmed they were when they rang me up. The time before that, I went in and asked for a bra fitting. The employee asked what size I was at my last fitting. Her immediate reply was "yea, you look like a x size." I asked her again if I could get a bra fitting, where she continued to say "well, if you really want me to measure you, I will". I was indeed NOT that size, as I knew I had recently lost 30 pounds and was no longer my previous size. In General: The quality and value of these bras have gone down the drain. Recently I had 2 bras completely fall apart. The first bra it was within a year. The second one was within 3 months. I went to exchange it and was told I was outside their window for exchanges or returns.
