My family and I hosted a baby shower here. Service and food deserve 5 stars. We loved the lamb…read morechops, black truffle Mac n cheese, pizzas and the burrata salad. Everything was served hot and packed with plenty of flavor. Definitely recommend adding their chili crunch to the pizzas. The pizza ovens are huge here and each pizza had the perfect crispy crunch. When you enter there's plenty of indoor seating and a large bar. I loved the high ceilings and open kitchen concept. Upstairs is reserved for private events and there was a nice outdoor patio. Highly recommend coming here for some quality Italian.

We parked underground it was a Friday night so the place was buzzing. We were lucky to get a table right away. You could make reservation via OpenTable however there is a deposit required and we didn't want to pay in case we couldn't make it so we took our chance. There were two hosts. The younger gentleman was friendlier than the older one. We were seated and it took awhile before our server came to say hi. I think there is a different level of service if you could speak French or not. We ordered the calamari and shrimp to start, it was SO good. The calamari was nicely breaded and the shrimp was tasty. We ordered two pizzas to try. One was the margarita and the other was Americana (comes with prosciutto - it was too salty so I could finish the meat portion). The Mac and cheese was really good. Our little one loved it. We asked for the truffle on the side. We didn't order any dessert because we were too full. It's a nice vibe and a great spot for a large group. It can get pretty loud so you feel like you have to yell when you are speaking. The washrooms are on the second floor. There is a patio upstairs and I saw a few tables. The vibe I. The main dining room is where everything is happening. It's a nice area to shop and eat.

One of the nice things is that you can bring your own wine. The restaurant do not sell alcohol, they have a nice menu of non alcoholic beverages. As always, I ordered the Tortellini Gigi. The flavor was good, but unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked this time. My husband had the veal with lemon, and he said it wasn't the best he has had here. Our friends ordered the lasagna and the linguine frutti di mare, and they both said their dishes were good. Overall, I would still recommend this restaurant because we have had some really delicious meals here on previous visits. They have two dinner seatings, at 5:00 and 8:00 PM. We went for the 8:00 PM seating. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the restaurant is small and can fill up quickly.

Despite a lackluster outside appearance, the interior was inviting and very nice. Michael, the owner, was able to accommodate us even though we didn't have reservations. My wife's salmon in a puff pastry shell was excellent. The sauce is what made it! - very creamy with just the right spices. I had the veal Marsala which was rich and tender. We enjoyed the pace of service (not too rushed) and appreciated Michael's patience with us since we know very little French. Not sure we'll be back in this area anytime soon, but if we are, we would definitely go back (and bring a bottle of wine with us since it's BYOB!!!)

It is…read morean expensive restaurant, and for what we paid, we expected much better quality and more flavorful food. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and my husband ordered the salmon with a side. Unfortunately, neither of our main courses was good. The food was quite bland and did not meet our expectations. The positive part was the appetizer and dessert that came with my husband's meal. He chose the charcuterie, which was delicious, and the two cannoli for dessert were also very good. However, the main courses were the biggest disappointment. We also ordered the house wine, which was the least expensive option at $58.00. Once you add tax and tip, it is no longer exactly an inexpensive option. As for the service, we also had an uncomfortable experience. When the waitress was speaking to the person sitting to my left, she would lean toward her and practically lean into my personal space, almost over my plate. The same thing happened when she spoke to the person sitting next to my husband. I feel she could have kept a little more distance and been more mindful of the guests' personal space, her name Jeanne. Another issue was the noise level. The restaurant is extremely loud because of how many people are talking. It was so noisy that we practically had to shout to have a conversation with the person sitting next to us, which made the overall experience less enjoyable. Overall, there were a few positives, such as the charcuterie and the cannoli, but considering the price, the quality of the main courses, the wine, the noise level, and some of the service issues, I don't feel the experience was worth what we paid. We simply expected much more for the price.

Clearly looking very different from when my aunt remembers from over 30 years ago, the place is now a chic bistro, but the food remains the same quality. When the owner, Anthony, heard of our visit, he came out to meet the Vancouverite and chat with us, and he was lovely and charming! Down 1 star though because their delivery menu and dine in menu vary, and my mum, who was hoping for a poutine, was told they couldn't serve it in the dining room, which we thought was odd, but she did enjoy her carbonara instead.
