I was recommended to him a long time ago, even before my back aches, but I thought a regular massage would suffice. I was so wrong lol. I'm not gonna lie, the session was a pretty painful and uncomfortable. But in the most satisfying way! It was exactly what I needed. He noticed my slightly kinked posture just from standing and answered every question that I had. I like his approach of massage, stretches, and calculated muscle activation. And that he used this wax stuff rather than oil. I have skin like a baby and sometimes oil makes me break out lol. I also liked that he talked through what he's doing. It really was a very informative experience and I feel like I now have a better understanding of my recurring muscle aches. He showed me stretches that I could do during work breaks. Being very active and in my 40s is tough on my joints and muscles, recovery has been much longer than it was in my youth. Dr. Qili Ye has provided me with assistance in recovering from injuries much quicker than the prototypical physical therapy and prescription pain meds of western medical practices. I have seen her for back pain, knee pain, plantar fasciitis and the common knots between the upper spine and shoulder blades. Each of these took a series of sessions, the worst was for the plantar issues. Needles in the foot definitely was not a fun experience, but after dealing with the issue for nearly a year and working with Kaiser's: physical therapy, 800mg ibuprofen, cortisone injection into both feet and no relief. Finally, I mustered up the nerves to go with acupuncture in my feet.
