Ive been going to this place since it has opened. This year has to be the worst experience yet. Last two times the women that worked here are a bit snobby. Never had this experience before. Using the last of my gift card which I got snobby looks for since I wasnt buying a package. Went in a "standup" god forbid you call it a booth. Went in, not a smile just hi what package would you like to buy?" I called earlier to confirm a booth being open which they didn't answer at 810am which they were suppose to be open. I left a message and still needed to call back for availability. Go into the room get my lotion on, go inside.... The door is broke. I got redressed and asked if another was open she said no but the standup still works? Are you kidding me? In paying full price for a broken tanning booth? You don't mention one thing? Walked out and said I'm not coming back. And I am not. Biggest trash working there. Sorry for the owners. Very unhappy with this company, I can't wait until my 3 months is up. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Depending on who is at the front desk, it changes on which beds you can go into. They charge you for things that you are not aware of, take away perks you paid for because the staff at the front desk does not inform you of what is allowed with your package. I originally went in after I saw an ad for $9.99for a month of tanning, which was not true, you have to pay $30 first and then you're locked in 6 months. So I settled for the three month which allows you two beds. The best bed on the package is falling apart, the settings/controls near the face don't work, and the plastic in the bed is cracked. All of this I only found out after I signed a contract. Tried speaking to management and they do not care about their customers. read more

I'm a customer of sky tan in Selden but just moved to ridge so I figured I would give this salon a try. I've been to the pacific tan in Selden as well but I have to say, sky tan is way cheaper and the bulbs are always really strong. I bought a two week package with pacific tan in rocky point yesterday and honestly wish I hadn't. I walked out of the strongest bed they had with no more tan than I had before. I'm really upset because this is the one thing I do for myself and I feel like I just wasted my money. I really hope they get new bulbs in their beds, they are wayyyy over due. Or I will just travel to sky tan which is 25 mins away. Going there ONCE a week would give me the tan that pacific would in a week and a half. I'm not even kidding. I never ever write bad reviews but I don't understand how you could allow your strongest bed to have such old bulbs. So disappointed. Please fix this! read more

Not a good experience. Be careful if you sign up for the EFT Program - there is a $30 sign-up fee charge which I wasn't notified of until the girl at the front desk already had my credit card in her hand, about to swipe it! Also, when you want to cancel it, you must give them at least 10 days notification IN PERSON and IN WRITING BEFORE your next payment is due, or else you will be charged for another month. (It's in the small print, of course.) Also, if you give them your email address, you will receive junk email constantly. They also try to sell you $60 tanning lotion when you arrive for your appointment. I've decided that self-tanning is better than cancer...or the sneaky ways in which Pacific Tan gets a hold of your money. I also had to block "Brad" who I assume is the owner. Apparently, honest reviews upset him and he felt the need to send me a nasty message with many a typo. Not how adequate customer service works. read more

Been in there a few times. Totally changing up staff. Went in today, with 3 girls working. There were 3 people waiting to be helped and the one girl behind the counter said wait until the girl gets done cleaning. I get she needs to be trained, but there are 3 people waiting to be helped, do it at a more convenient time. Then when I got checked in for my bed, she said it'd be 3 minutes. 20 minutes later, nothing. Then the three girls proceeded to gossip and not pay any attention to the customers. I ended up walking out, it was so unprofessional and a waste of my time and money. read more

I have tanned many times before at other places in advance of vacations or special events. This place is very close to where I live so I purchased a one week unlimited package in advance of my daughter's wedding. I do not recommend you do this here, as it has become clear that they really don't want you to use the more expensive beds/stand-ups. They seem to save these for frequent tanners or people with larger packages. They do this by saying they don't have a reservation for you or tell you the bed is already taken if you come in as a "walk in" even though no one is in the place. The people working here are quite rude as well. Needless to say this is the last time I will use this place. read more
