I have been going to these guys for years. And recommending them to my friends. They had always done an amazing job. And without even questioning took my new curbed $3000 rim to them. The weld job was hurried and not good. They painted the RIm without assessing or advising me that they could not match the original condition. Even with that the paint job was uneven and poor. Paint pooling in edges. With that said, they were very professional in discussing the situation with me and even offering to paint the other rims to match this one. And they refunded me immediately. I chose to take my car to another shop. So my recommendation is to give them a chance but ask question ahead of time to make sure you will end up with exactly what you are expecting read more

They pick up the damaged wheel, and a day or two later, they bring you what looks like a brand new wheel, and at a fraction of the cost of a replacement wheel. I would give 10 stars if possible! Work with Justin. Great guy and very helpful, especially because I don't know anything about wheels. He put me at ease with selecting the finish I wanted my wheels redone in. The only issue is that 99% of the time, this shop works with body shops, and they do not store vehicles on their lot. I worked with Pac Rims directly to refinish a set of wheels for a restoration project. I WILL NEVER WORK WITH THEM AGAIN. QUALITY: "We offer refinished quality." -Pac Rims Head of Sales Their quality of work is beyond POOR. There was dust, dirt, and HAIR in the finish (Yes I found hairs under the clear coat). Obviously, this company doesn't care about the quality of their work. PRICE: Expensive. They charged me a total of $162 per wheel to repaint. For this price, I was expecting an excellent finish quality. I received the opposite. I was quoted cheaper from other wheel refinishers. I regret not working with them. SERVICE: They wanted to charge me $125 per wheel to refinish their poor work. Take your business elsewhere if you're looking for a wheel refinish. read more

These guys made my wheels looks amazing 2 years ago. They took some beautiful wheels and made them look better than new by touching up some curb rash, painting a fresher darker black, and giving everything a sparkling new clearcoat. When I asked about the price increase, they said the price they told me on the phone was a "wholesale price" and now they have to charge me a "retail price"? I did not deal with Pacific Rims directly, but the tire shop I was using contracted with them to do a full restoration on all 4 of my old BMW's OEM wheels. This review covers the quality of the results and turn-around time. 5 stars for speed. One wheel had a visible bend in it from a pothole, and 3 of them had some amount of curb rash. The metallic silver paint was also in varying conditions between the wheels and needed to be re-done. They picked-up, straightened, removed the curb rash, stripped, repainted and delivered all 4 wheels in 24 hours, which is impressive since the tire shop was down in Mountain View. 4.5 stars for the results, due to a very slight paint color mismatch between the wheels and the OEM center-caps that I sent with the wheels to be matched. The difference is only apparent in very direct light, from angles that aren't really an issue when the wheels are on the car. I know how hard it is to get a perfect color-match, particularly with metallic flake paints, so the fact that they got the match 97% of the way there is still impressive. The paint finish was good, free of dirt and debris and overall the results looked professional. Pricing was very reasonable in my opinion. The tire shop said that it can vary from $160 to $230 depending on the damage to the wheels, and I believe that all 4 of them only cost $160 each in my case, despite one of them having a 6" flat spot in the lip from a pothole. So I guess they must see some really banged up wheels if mine were done so fast for the lowest quoted price. Overall I would recommend Pacific Rims for wheel repair and refinishing. It is my understanding that they do NOT really deal with walk-in customers, and instead typically work through wheel and tire shops on a commercial basis. read more

Overall - unfortunate but the bar on quality is not set very high. The referral came via State Farm so expectations were high that wheel repair would deliver OEM-quality work...not just OEM paint finishes as the web site states. Pros - 1) all people (front and back office) were pleasant; 2) paint quality on outside-facing part of wheel was very good (see con below); 3) repair quality on wheels with damage was very good; 4) fast service - dropped off on Friday, ready on Monday; 5) prices were reasonable - roughly 50% of new wheel; Cons - 1) on pick-up, I noticed that there were blemishes on the outside-facing portions of the wheel. They immediately took them for sanding/polishing but I questioned them on why I had to do the QA; 2) prior to dropping off the wheels, they did tell me that the backs of the wheels wouldn't be perfect because of the way they are handled post-painting. Still difficult to believe that this is an acceptable level of quality when the claim is OEM-quality paint finishes; 3) I had them mount/balance tires for me with an expectation that they would know how NOT to damage the new paint. It's now clear that not all the 'scuff' marks are from the drying process - much results from the mounting process and, if I were to guess, the use of metal tools, not plastic or whatever material tire shops use; 4) being stuck with a finished product that does not meet expectations and, being realistic, where there's not much that can be done to change the outcome. Final comments - recognize final product is not top-tier; do NOT have them mount/balance your tires; QA your own work; set a low bar so you'll be excited when you get the finished product (like some reviewers); assume your insurance company has never seen finished work of anyone they recommend. read more
