We were promptly picked up and the driver was lovely. She dropped us off and Captain Robert took over. He's very genial and after tooling out in the bay about 10 minuets, we started fishing. We caught 4 Pinks and 2 Silver, which they smoked or filleted and shipped back to us. The fish arrived frozen & well packaged. This was the best part of our cruise due to the resident eagle who circled after our first catch.

I call BS on that one as it's pretty hard to miss a cruise ship in a tiny port. Not to mention their directions tell us exactly where to go which is right off the ship. 2nd they cut our trip short by 1 1/2 hours with no credit or apologies. (1 hour late and then pulled us in 30 minutes earlier than stated. So our 5.5 hour fishing trip was actually less than 3 hours after over an hour of travel time. I'm only giving them the 2 stars because the boat and gear was nice.

They are located downtown right near the cruise port. They have items ranging from chocolate, salmon to tshirts and hoodies. In terms of service, they will not approach you unless you approach them. The boat was comfortable and the small group setting made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. We saw so much wildlife: whales, bald eagles, jellyfish, crabs, a mink sprinting along the shore, and a bunch of harbor seals lounging on the rocks. We also saw several types of birds that the couple was keeping track of for a wildlife database. They are super knowledgeable and clearly love what they do.

If I could afford to buy my own compressor and completely avoid them I would have a long time ago…read more The male owner is rude and degrading, and you can tell the wife is aware of his grating behavior, yet does nothing to stop it. He called everyone Young Man as if it's perfectly acceptable to call anyone that to their face. If you have not purchased your equipment from them directly they refuse to help you, and when you do ask questions about local diving and conditions he becomes aggressive, asking how can you be a diver in Ketchikan without knowing about such and such a place. I only wish there was an alternative to having to deal with him.
