These guys are extremely fair and honest. I bought a sizable amount of 100oz silver bars from them. 2 that they had in stock and 2 that came in before the date they specified. They would get five stars from me but on one of the days I had to travel to go pick up the bars they were closed because they were understaffed and had to leave to take something to UPS or FedEx. I was on a pretty tight schedule, plus it was in the afternoon, and every minute counts when you have to travel north on 880. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes. I've already tried to use them again to buy more silver and at the time Robyn who helped me last time was very honest, and gave me the straight skinny which I really appreciated. I visited the Palo Alto location a few weeks ago to sell some gold and silver jewelry. Then we reinvested it in silver coins. Both employees that we met were very friendly and promptly greeted us. Ronnie assisted us and he was very knowledgeable. He was also great with my 10 year old son who had a lot of questions and was interested in the weighing process. Wanted to give me a post dated check but keep the gold coin today. Drove 100 mi. For that BS never doing business with them again

I've been here several times, they aren't big on letting you see items before purchasing so hard to know what is in stock if you want to buy they send you to the website which isn't always up to date ordered a 1/2 ounce piece and was told 3 weeks until they would have it in store when online it claimed to be in stock. Fast forward to today I'm trying to recoup some money for a purchase I need to make I walk in don't get greeted get instantly told can you come back in 45 minutes. I clarified so you aren't buying any gold or silver he confirmed they didn't have any cash and sent me on my way. I did call to confirm and the lady on the phone informed me he must have been busy because he definitely has cash for purchases on said day. Which in my opinion is very poor business practice. I get it precious metals are expensive and people are walking in with big money so I may seem insignificant with my transaction for selling my ounces of gold and tubes of ASE but even if it was a smaller transaction I should have got the same attention and respect as everyone else in the store at the time. All around bad customer service one gentleman there who knows understands the business the rest are not as friendly or knowledgeable. Decided to go all in with a good sized haul of a silver order to avoid California state sales taxes. To start, the location is great, a 5ish minute walk from Fremont BART. It seemed like the local pickup/punch-in debit was the best deal i could find, especially hearing about the widely experienced issues with slow APMEX, etc shipping. The owner at Pacific PM was very patient with all of my pre-sales questions and I had a feeling I was on the right track. There were a couple snags, one with the order being mysteriously delayed. Once it arrived and i dropped in TJ was very patient with my questions in person as he was with post sales support over the phone. My order was mostly a heavy heap of junk silver and TJ wisely recommended I count it out which I wasn't really expecting to be offered. During counting, I did find the wrong year for a single Kennedy half (1969) but they were quick to swap that out. That was less than 1% of total face and an easy mistake to make. The rest of the junk was of outstanding quality, mostly about uncirculated 1964 Kennedies with like one crummy Washington quarter but all the dates were there no question. The assaying on the rounds was well explained and done without me asking or even knowing about that option. Since they had a bit extra junk they were kind enough to sell me the remaining stock on top of the original tax-free order. I wasn't even expecting any of this and in the end the outstanding deals and superior customer service I walked home with easily made up for the very minor snags along the way. Dropped in during my lunch break to pick up some sleeves. Very clean, comfortable location, and there was only one person in front of me (another customer was being helped in the back). Only one staff member there at that time (Friday around 12:30pm). I could tell by the conversation with the two other customers that the staff member working was friendly, very helpful, and professional - I'd definitely come back here if I were buying or selling. However, when the first customer left and the second customer (right before me) came up to get assistance, I was told something like "I'll help you in 5 minutes". 30 minutes later he finishes up with the second customer and asks what I would like help with. All I needed was 3 coin sleeves - it would have taken 30 seconds. I was told "I wish you would have said something", but I didn't really have a chance to during the rotation of the other two customers. Suggestion, and this comes from someone in the customer service business: when you're the only person on staff, and there's a queue that includes a new customer, it's a good idea to take a moment to inquire what they're here for. If it's just a question or something that can be solved quickly, then you can triage that quick without making your other clients feel like you're interrupting their time. I'd also make the incoming new customer(s) feel like their time was also being considered. read more

They said that the business is clean and professional. He said that they were surprised because they were expecting something like a pawn shop, but it was more like an exclusive store in San Francisco. They felt very comfortable and safe.
