Bill from Pacific Plumbing helped flush and clean out my water heater as well as replace two shower valves. He solved the issue of not getting hot enough to water in the shower and was very informative about the process. The only issue I have is that they are not upfront about the price of parts and charge a large premium for them. They charged $225 for two shower valves that would cost $85 at Home Depot. I called the day before the shower valve replacement and asked the price and the guy Chris said he didn't know how much the shower valve cost. Only when I paid did I find out how much it cost. read more

I called Pacific Plumbing to troubleshoot a carbon monoxide problem. After not finding any problems with either the water heater or the radiant heat boiler, they punted on solving the problem and charged about $400 for the site visit. I called my architect/builder and he quickly discovered that our Lochinvar boiler had been recalled--research that I think is reasonable to assume that Pacific Plumbing would have done. The boiler is covered by warranty, but I'm still out $400. Would give them a zero rating if that were available. read more

I needed a tankless water heater replacement for my home, and tried Pacific Plumbing after reading this page with all its glowing reviews. I had one quote already in hand from another local shop for the fanciest top-of-the-line model and after a pleasant conversation on the phone with Tim about my what I wanted (something more budget friendly) I was feeling hopeful. A few pictures and notes were exchanged via email, in which I clarified my preference for an estimate containing two quotes--for both a higher-end and a more budget-friendly option--and then he promptly sent an estimate. So far, so good. But upon reading the estimate it turned out to only contain one quote, specifying the same top-of-the line model I had previously expressed concerns about. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I replied to his email cordially with a few questions. And then he disappeared. A week passed and I sent another follow-up email to which, several days later, I have received no response. At this point I'm forced to conclude that this business just wants to sell you the most expensive solution. Two stars for the initial good vibes. read more

I had two hot water heaters that needed replacing but had grown frustrated with our longtime plumber, so I was looking for a new plumber. Pacific Plumbing came out promptly and gave me three estimates (for three different replacement scenarios, because my house is very large and I could have gone with a single larger heater etc) I had my dad here because he is quite handy and has replaced a few hot water heaters himself, so he knew what to expect in terms of price. We both thought their prices were really fair, and the plumber who came out for the installation, Curtis, was on time, very polite, quiet and extremely tidy. He went to a lot of effort after installation to test and clean out all water outlets and to clean the floor, etc. He also suggested some easy follow-up repairs to other plumbing issues he noticed while here, which I appreciated. Absolutely and unequivocally recommend Pacific Plumbing. Recently I needed a kitchen disposal and sink strainer replacement. In 2013 we were having our water line shutoff replaced by the HOA. In making the replacement, the HOA plumbing contracted co. broke the incoming waterline below the concrete level. That particular company advised the HOA that the entire line back to the meter would require replacement at a cost of $4,000. When I learned of this I asked a local resident contractor for an alternate recommendation. That was Pacific Plumbing. Their personnel advised the break could likely be fixed where it occurred and full replacement of the entire line was not warranted. Their bid was $800. The break caused by the HOA plumber was repaired for less than the $800 bid saving the HOA $3,200. Four years have passed without any problems. Thus, when I needed a disposal and some sink repair on my own dime I contacted Pacific. I was provided clearly competitive hourly rate and conditions. The plumber showed at bit before the promised time. That was the first good sign. Dave, the plumber from Pacific was very experienced, performed a perfect replacement without rush and without delay. Every joint was twice inspected for possible leak. The job came in and under my own anticipated cost. However the soonest they could come out was two days later, which wouldn't work for me with a leaky pipe. If they will come out in a reasonable time for your job, they are a decent price. read more
