I like this lunch spot. Is it going to blow your mind? No. But they've got the basics down, everything's made to order, fast, the food taste clean, and they satisfy. The remarkable dish that inspired this review though, the curry beef rice. Classic Japanese curry. White rice. Some broccoli because scurvy. Stir-fried beef. Nothing remarkable. What made the curry beef remarkable was the beef though. I can't be the only one who expects curry beef to have the beef inside the curry. But here, the sliced beef is cooked on the griddle separately. Lightly marinated, the beef was already flavorful, but by not being wet, it picked up a very nice char. Sure, any restaurant could do this. But how many does this? It's like falling in love with a tacoria because it's one of the few that finishes their burito on the grill. And as simple as charring the beef is, it's not something most people can do at home. Now tell me. How many curry beef bowls have you had that came with a char? Also. By having the beef separate from the curry, they can't skimp on the beef. And they didn't. read more

Not a local here but this spot is AMAZING. Cheap, huge portions, quick service, filling, good tasting. I called them for pick-up and it was a quick process + they said the food would be ready in 5-10. It was ready before I even walked there! The interior is dim and cozy but doesn't really fit the kind of food they serve. My brother and I got the bulgogi rice bowl and bulgogi bento box. They are very similar but I think the bulgogi rice bowl is better in terms of ingredients and value (biased here because that's the one I got) but I wish there was more broccoli/vegetables in general. I also didn't like how the broccoli was sweet with its sauce but the flavor overall was great. It comes with gochujang/ketchup (I didn't need it for flavor, so I didn't bother to try it) and kimchi. The amount of beef is REALLY GOOD especially for the price, and there wasn't too much rice. It was like the perfect amount to balance out the rest. The rice was a little mushy though. I felt like a pastrami sandwich before my heart doctor appointment (not kidding) and this place popped up on yelp. What a find! It's great to not get sticker shock when looking at the menu. Their pastrami is half the cost of other places. Sure, it's smaller but do you need really need that huge sandwich? The dude who served me pleasantly answered all of my annoying questions. The sandwich was excellent. And, how nice it is to get real napkins as opposed to the tissues you get at other places. Sometimes it's the little things. Honestly my favorite breakfast/lunch spot on my work days. They have a wide range of delicious homemade food from sandwiches and salads to curry, Korean meat bowls and udon. I have tried so many things from their menu and each of them were so good! The service is also amazing. As a regular I enjoy talking to the staff and getting to know them! The bento also comes with green salad and Mac salad. The kalbi pieces were good, just wish they gave you more pieces (made me think I should've just opted for a full order instead of combo meat situation). The chicken was cut thin, so kinda dry, but with enough sauce to still be tasty. I love how they covered the rice in sauce too! The salad dressing was hella good, kinda watery, but still flavorful, I ate the whole side of it. The Mac salad reminded me of what you'd get at a Hawaiian spot, so I enjoyed it that as well. The portions were huge considering I paid $14, I thought the value was there. The best way I could describe the feeling while I was eating the meal was those classic comfort food vibes. I came after the lunch rush and it took less than 10 minutes for my order to be made. The guy taking my order was chill and attentive.
