Northridge Metrolink Station - Boarding the Metrolink Departing at 11:44 AM to the L.A. Union Station

Saw there was a LADOT DASH bus waiting at the train station, which runs every 15 minutes around Reseda. No WiFi access is available on any Metrolink trains while the Amtrak has it for Business Class seats. Beginning July 1, 2025, you can buy a day pass ticket for unlimited travel across all Metrolink lines at $15 weekdays, $10 weekends! Note: Be careful, please check the Metrolink schedule to see whether the trip is worth your time for waiting at the Union Station for nearly two hours on the way back to the Northridge Station. For example , when I arrived at the Union Station at 2:45 PM, I found the next available train to the Northridge is at 4:30 PM. That's a challenge from LA Metro and Metrolink to attract more riders to take a public transit, instead of driving.

I genuinely had no idea I was in the right spot even though they had a sign up that indicated train arrivals/departures. There seems to be ample parking in the area and you can either book your ticket via the Metrolink app or on the self serve kiosk at the station. I believe there are shuttles that take you to/from this station as well since I noticed a ton of students and presumably faculty getting off the shuttle. The train itself is pleasantly clean and air conditioned, which was a nice change from the weather outside. The bathrooms were also very spacious and clean. I was on a double decker plane so I naturally gravitated to the second level. It was pretty empty despite it being a weekday afternoon around 4-5 pm and it was quiet and peaceful. I was able to get from Northridge to Union Station in considerably less time than if I drove there. Overall, please take public transit whenever possible! This even takes you to Burbank airport! It's a fun and quick ride and so much better than sitting in traffic. (35/100--2024)

This review is solely for Proper Parking as a parking management service…read more I truly believe the accurate way to judge a company is by how they handle a difficult and unfavorable situation. Do they take responsibility for their employee's wrongdoings? Yes Do they handle uncomfortable situations with grace? Yes Do they have professional, trustworthy, reliable people on their team? Yes Do they have insurance that will cover their mistakes? Yes After my unfavorable encounter at one of the lots they manage, I would definitely trust Proper Parking to take care of my parking needs. They handled it well and were very professional about it. The only criticism I have is the speed of which the matter was handled.

Valet damaged my car and now I can't get a response…read more I went to the Omar Courtz event at The Vermont Hollywood on Saturday, May 18 and used the valet service provided by Proper Parking. When I got my car back, there was noticeable damage. I reached out right away, spoke with someone named Aiden, and followed up with photos and a full description to the email he gave me. Since then? Nothing. No reply. No update. Just silence. I've done everything they asked, and now I'm left hanging. It's starting to feel like they're hoping I'll just stop following up and take the loss. I'm not that kind of customer. If this is how they handle issues, especially after something as serious as vehicle damage, I'd think twice before using them, whether you're a customer or someone hiring them for an event. I'm still trying to resolve this directly, but it's been days with no movement.

Okay, so maybe after 4+ decades in the SFV it's about time I got a library card! LMAO…read more I was recently welcomed to a book club and thought all my excuses have now lapsed. The escape of my childhood could also make a wonderful reprieve from adulting. NOTE: This branch will be closed February 9, 2025 and reopening Monday, April 13th. We are told a new paint job is in the works, but this obviously much loved and worn branch could use a bit more sprucing up. Tina welcomed us in and got us set up with new cards celebrating 100 years of Los Angeles City libraries! A card for the wallet and one for the keychain. She was also very kind in setting aside a State Park pass for us to return and grab before the branch closes next week. A State Park Pass is good for 1 car and only at designated State Parks. So plan ahead if you want to take advantage of this benefit available to library card holders only. Tina let us know the pass, like books, are lent out for up to 3 weeks. Sweet! We look forward to utilizing this amazing resource now that we've tapped into it. My book group are eager to see "Wuthering Heights" after the book read next month, so I already know the first classic I plan on checking out. Cheers! "CC"
