Parking is spacious but I did sadly see the charging stations that they used to have here have been permanently disconnected but the machine part is still there. Maybe some day they will bring them back as they were convenient though slow. Inside staff was very friendly and assisted me with finishing the set up for my new card. It only took 5 minutes and now I have my card! I can't wait to start using Libby. I then walked around browsing the aisles and I found a wide selection of different languages which I thought was awesome. There's also plenty of study tables and many public computers. On leaving I looked around the park. I was really pleased because the grass looks nice and green and no foxtails! I saw someone playing with their dog in the field and this made me realize this is a great place to bring my dog to do some training and it's close to me. Very happy and looking forward to my next visit

Because this is a regional branch, this is a busier library than your local branch. There is still ample parking. I was also able to find a computer right away, even though many of them were already taken. I plan to come here more often. Make sure to sign up for a library card if you haven't already. Among many other benefits, it enables you to print up to 25 pages B&BW for free every day! This alone has saved me a ton of money instead of having to go to Office Depot.

Then as the weather was drifting into May Gray coolness, we wanted to go to the Chatsworth Library for some indoor quiet time. That branch was closed at the time, having renovations on their HVAC systems. It wasn't that far to get to Northridge, so we checked out that location. We found a convenient parking place, then a clean restroom inside. Then it was time to visit the children's section in the back corner. What a delightful for 6 year old SG. She was in reading heaven. She browsed the racks, picked out several books at a time, then found various places to snuggle up with her finds. Dear Hubby happily found the magazines and started reading on his own. There are tables and chairs, and also computer desks near the kids' area, so we could be close, but give SG her space. I was checking work email for a while, and then Yelp reviews. The layout and design features of the children's section are very charming and create a cozy atmosphere. SG was excited to learn that she could have her parents get her a library card so that she'd be able to check out a certain number of books and take them home for a time. A library fan is born! I told her about when I was a kid on the first day of summer vacation I would ride my bike across town to the library and come home with a basket of books to read. That was my ritual throughout the start of the summertime. Read, read, read. Go for a swim, get something to eat, then read some more. Simpler times!

I'm working on a more comprehensive report of the authoritarian culture I've observed here. The supervisor, the librarian and the security guard triangulate in ways to avoid accountability. I'm well versed in all their methods because I've been subjected to them. These techniques are being used too often. They are too practiced and methodical. There's a stark contrast in culture compared to neighboring public libraries. The supervisor is a Karen. She has hand picked staff that are supportive of her behavior. She had trained them to coordinate her oppressive protocols. I will document all actions taken against me: be they open or covert. I will voice them publicly and at local city council meetings. The library belongs to the people. The library of all places should be inclusive. There are kind library ushers Working at this library Who are more suitable administrators. The cognitive dissonance Produced from Oppression at the Northridge public library Requires reconsideration of Management

The amount of preparation and planning it takes to organize something this large with the amount of family and friends that attended is truly extraordinary. I parked at Matadome (Premier America Credit Union America) - no charge to park. Don't forget to bring your flowers and/or leis to celebrate your student's graduation. This 2 hour ceremony started about 30 minutes late (8:30AM) and ended at about 10:30AM. Restrooms are available yet all are inside the university buildings (none available outdoors) Make sure to hydrate and bring water and maybe some snacks. There is no shade for the audience so come prepared! Beautiful grounds with plenty of space for family photos.

I came here today to read a book that I got as a gift! Needed to get away from my everyday life of sitting in my bedroom depressed. So I decided to go out to a place that makes me feel good which is my old stomping ground CSUN. The book I'm reading is called Love & Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. My goal is to finish this book by the end of the week which is Saturday/Sunday. I'm already in chapter 4 and I got the book yesterday. I'm passing myself so I will obtain the information while understanding the book as I read out loud to myself. The facility here has changed from years ago when I was here. In the lobby they have a coffee shop and a lounge area. Which is crazy to see in a library! It's the light_skin_dragon blasting off quietly to find a new place to review for all my readers out there! See how I did that haha

Even though it was "strange," it was actually pretty good. On the other hand, the Master's in Screenwriting was just awful. It was a terrible experience, with bad and unprepared professors, an all-white faculty with zero diversity, and a department chair (Mr. Jared Rappaport) who seemed completely lost and had no idea what he was doing. The entire body of professors was terrible--aggressions and lies everywhere. I had two classes that were repetitions of courses I had already taken as an undergraduate, even with the same professors. Additionally, during my thesis examination, one of the three professors who were supposed to give me feedback did not read my script. As a result, I only received two sets of feedback instead of three. Beyond that, my experience with the credentialing program at CSUN, under the Michael Eisner School, was equally disappointing. The lack of commitment, disorganization, and unprofessional behavior throughout the process was unacceptable. Communication was poor, requirements shifted without clear guidance, and there was little accountability. It is a terrible place to pursue studies if you expect seriousness, professionalism, or institutional support. In summary, I paid for a Master's degree that honestly taught me very little. I learned far more in the screenwriting courses I took at Los Angeles Valley College than in the CSUN Master's program. And if you are thinking about "networking," forget it. The network you can get from that institution is honestly BS. I do not recommend that program. Look for a more serious institution if you want to learn and feel genuinely appreciated. Do not pursue the Master's in Screenwriting at CSUN.
