The seared toro roll was really fresh and tasty. The service was friendly but not extremely attentive. The person that really stood out though before we left was Edward. He was so friendly and went the extra mile to show us different features within the restaurant (we will be back for that karaoke room) and he really just had a great way of connecting with us and other guests. Never change, Edward.

When we went we were sat right away and the jazz was absolutely amazing. I also loved the live fish swimming around along the ceiling. The service honestly was not that great. No one came to our table for a while after we were sat and when someone did finally come they didn't introduce themselves or anything, just asked us what we wanted. The appetizer and the entree both took honestly a very long time to come out too which I can understand in a busy restaurant, but there were a total of 10 tables filled so I wouldn't call that busy. The food itself was very good and I was super impressed with the crispy rice tuna. Our server didn't come back to ask us if we needed anything or to ask how the food was for probably 30 minutes and by then we had finished our meals and just wanted to leave. We asked three separate people for the check and asked one person twice. I'm not sure why it took so long to get the check and why it seemed so difficult. I was just disappointed that other tables seemed to be getting checked up on frequently, but we didn't and getting the check was much harder than I would've liked it to be.

It was important for…read moreus to celebrate in our favorite city and pick a place that was local for everyone to join us. The indoor/outdoor rooftop, Tulum style interior, and LA skyline made our day perfect. Our guests loved being able to mingle and dance while enjoying the gorgeous view of the city especially during summer. Oh, and they also have AC which was refreshing. We rented the Photo Booth offered by our host and couldn't be happier. It was an elegant, high quality booth too that produced nice photos. The bartenders were friendly and personable which was greatly appreciated. On the same floor as Savanna, there is a brand new rooftop bar called Florentìn which we were able to enjoy for about an hour after our wedding ended. The music was our vibe as well, we love some R&B. Overall, if you're looking for a modern wedding venue with a beautiful interior in DTLA w/ Valet - this is your spot! Bonus: The owner helped us book valet, bartenders, furniture and everything. AND they offer a Live Web Cam later in the evening that displays on the outdoor deck, so freaking fun lol Probably one of our favorite features. Shout out to Max for creating such an iconic venue! His entire team was professional and generous with their time. Enjoy some pics from the night' We loved having our event here and hope you will too!

I communicated with Frank, the manager, for a couple weeks prior to the event, for a group of 34 and everything went smoothly throughout the entire night! Options for parking are $15 for valet and $10 across the street. The classy doorman at the entrance made us feel welcome and also provided a sense of security in DTLA. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were left in awe of the beautiful 1920's Art Deco interior of the restaurant. The building was built in 1928 and was initially used as a "haberdashery" (men's fine clothing store). The restaurant has been featured in movies and music videos. Everyone in our group had so much fun dressing like "The Great Gatsby" and "Peaky Blinders". While waiting for our other guests and seating time at 7:30pm, we had cocktails at the 2nd floor bar, took photos, and enjoyed our birdseye of the dance floor. Mary and Sally were awesome, attentive servers for our large group and I appreciated that immensely. I work in healthcare now, but I was a server when I was younger and I know its not an easy job. Some venues and restaurants don't do well with large groups, but I noticed that Cicada knows how to handle the flow very well. For my 3 courses, I ordered the ahi tuna appetizer, NY steak, and tiramisu dessert. I liked the ahi tuna and tiramisu. All of the food came out in a timely manner for our group. Since our tables were in front of the dance floor, we had so much fun watching the dancers! Looked like there were regulars who came often to dance, as well as professional dancers. It was really cool because they would occasionally ask individuals in our group or other patrons to dance. Even if you don't know how to dance, the vibe at Cicada made you feel comfortable. The band that night was "Ashley Anne and the Carnations" and they rocked it!!! FYI, the band stops at 11pm. All of my friends and family commented on how much fun they had and how much they loved the restaurant! My sister, my cousin, and my cousin's husband even told me that they want to have their birthdays at Cicada, too!! We'll be back soon!! Thank you to everyone at Cicada for making my husband's 50th birthday so special and memorable!

The cocktails are expertly crafted, the food is excellent, and the desserts are just as impressive--everything felt thoughtfully done and high quality. I was so hungry I forgot to take pics of the antipasti. LoL! The staff truly makes the night special. They're amazing, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. On top of that, the live band was incredible and kept the energy going all night. The venue itself is stunning and nostalgic, full of history and charm that transports you to another era. It's such a fun place for dinner, cocktails, and dancing, and the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else in LA. Best of all, it's a great value for the experience--you get amazing food, entertainment, and ambiance for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend for a memorable night out.

At one point in my life this was where I lived for a little over a year. And yes the club has rooms for lease on long term basis. It's easy to run into many famous icons that also called this place a home from time to time. If you read Warren Buffet's book, this was where Buffet met Munger and it definitely changed his life. Founded in 1888, the founders of city of Los Angeles created this club for their social network and permanent gathering. So details in services and presentation are always important here. To sum it up, it's difficult to even find employees at the club that work here for less than 10 years. The average time each employee spends here has to be over 30 years. What makes it incredible is that they tend to remember most members' names. If you have a chance to be invited to the club, it's essential to get a tour and experience the history here.

My fav part was the shower...the water pressure was off the hook! And their fitness center? Dang...it was incredible and exceeded our expectations. So much equipment...there's something for everyone! The reception dinner held on the outside patio that overlooks the city's skyline was impeccable. What an absolute treat! Service was beyond and everyone working the event was so on par, happy and very professional! If you have a rare and exceptional opportunity to stay at the Cal Club, don't even hesitate! It's 5 plus stars all around!

The biggest highlight is definitely the view -- you're at the top of one of the tallest buildings in Los Angeles, and seeing the city from that height feels kind of unreal, especially closer to sunset. I ordered a drink and was pleasantly surprised -- it wasn't just "good for the view," it was actually well made and refreshing. The whole place has a relaxed vibe, nothing too fancy or intimidating, which made it easy to just enjoy the moment. Also, getting in was way easier than I thought. No complicated process or long wait, which is rare for places with views like this in LA. I'd definitely come back, especially to bring someone who hasn't seen the city from this perspective yet

And you get what you would expect - beautiful views of the LA skyline on a clear day, gorgeous sunsets and clear. night skies. Now what isn't really as advertised (and to their credit they earn you) is the wind factor when you get up there. Even on a temperate night it gets windy up here! I think it does have a bit to do that you are over 73 stories up and how the aerodynamics work up there but be prepared with a jacket for sure. And thus translates into why they have the menu that they do at Spire. I wondered why it was a simpler bar bites and burger menu... then when I saw my tostadas and Caesar almost fly away, I got it... you've got to eat fast. And they did tell me at a prime time reservation at 6:30 that I have a 90 minute time to enjoy dinner. I don't think with how cold I got that I would have wanted to stay longer to be honest. Service was pretty good, George my server was really pleasant - he recommended the tostadas and I really liked them. For the price it's pretty expensive, with a mocktail, the tostadas and a salad starter it was $80 for one person but you're paying for some killer views and since I was there for sunset it was pretty spectacular. Was I glad I did this once? Yes. Would I do this again? Maybe not. But if I was here for a party or event, I'd check it out. There are just other places I've been globally where rooftops have been a bit more of an experience (and definitely less windy!)
