We picked up a pre-prepared Christmas dinner. They were nice enough to let us pick it up a day early as we were going out of town for the Holiday. One of the best meals we have ever had. Delicious Pork Loin, cooked perfectly. Mac and Cheese, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry chutney, gravy, yams with apples and cranberry sauce and bread with honey butter. OMGoodness! Incredible meal. Pacific Harvest catered our wedding reception in October 2024 at Biddle Ranch Winery, and it couldn't have gone any better!  We got compliments on the food across our entire guest list, and Seth & Dawn were very wonderful in accommodating our requests. The tasting we did with Seth at their Templeton location gave us a good sense of what to expect and really drove home that we were working with a local team, and not a big corporate operation. Seth is a great chef and had good suggestions that fit in nicely with our vision of the evening, and the Mediterranean-style meal we were looking for. On the day of the wedding, the Pacific Harvest team was well prepared and did a great job executing. The appetizer boards and passed apps during our cocktail hour were delicious and very attractive, and as we moved into the evening the Pacific Harvest team also assigned one of their servers to make sure we got taken care of while the rest of the guests got their food.  They made sure all of our other vendors got a nice hot meal too, and our photographer said she's never been so well taken care of! As I mentioned earlier, we got fantastic feedback on the food, and we had a nice selection of options for vegetarians and vegans as well. We really wanted to have warm cookies as a dessert option, and the Pacific Harvest team was nice enough to bake and serve the cookie dough we ordered from a local bakery so that our warm cookies dreams came true!  We cannot recommend Pacific Harvest enough. It's been awhile but I needed to post my mixed review Early Last November we tried the Togo meals the "not your mommas meat loaf" was delicious The other one maybe beef stroganoff with noodles was also good So we decided to order the Thanksgiving meal November 2020 Turkey and all the trimmings. I bragged to my family about having our meal catered I'm still embarrassed My son said the turkey meat stunk, it was nasty inedible snd I only saw dark meat in a pressed slab No white meat But it was disgusting I paid a lot for this meal & had even added extra items When I complained to Dawn she said she would speak to the chef about a refund of $35 on the turkey but I really don't know if that ever happened Above all consistent good food is necessary if I am going to risk my hard earned money Then I gave them another shot and ordered a lunch salad that was supposed to feed 2 people It was pictured in a large round bowl What I received was a small dingiest size oval bowl that was clearly only enough food for 1, but still cost me $15.00 And I had ordered 2 of them At this point I have lost trust and the memory of that delicious pot roast isn't enough to get me to risk losing more money and Going away hungry read more

Ordered Thanksgiving dinner for 8 of us and it was the worst turkey dinner of all time! The turkey was pressed meats for one! The website said white and dark meat yet this was both pressed together in a loaf!!!! The sides seemed canned and corners were cut big time !!! Never ever again!!!! We contracted with PHC for our school's drive thru gala. They served up a delicious *to-go* meal of Lasagna, salad, bread and cheese cake. The meal was an absolute hit. And PHC was a joy to work with. They had a great price point- fantastic communication and amazing attention to detail. read more

Dawn White and staff catered my daughter's wedding at La Cuesta Ranch In San Luis Obispo and we could not be more pleased with Pacific Harvest menu and service. Everyone I asked said the food was hands down THE BEST they had ever tasted at a wedding. Our choices included both beef and chicken dishes as well as vegan options. And EVERYONE was happy. All of the dishes, served buffet style, complimented one another in taste and appearance. The freshness was exceptional! All our guests were sufficiently satisfied, which says a lot since we were feeding a bunch of firemen as guests! There was just enough food leftover to feed the excellent crew, who were not only efficient, but cheerful and kind. Dawn helped me so much as MOB during our planning phases....which was extended for a year due to COVID shutdowns... by providing some additional services,such as moving chairs and breaking down tables at the end of the evening. She even answered my many non-catering questions as far as what the norm was for this and that and who I should contact. In addition, because of the year-long delay, Dawn allowed me to make monthly payments such that by the time of the wedding my catering bill was almost paid off. That was so appreciated! If you need catering services for your event, I highly recommend Pacific Harvest. I know you won't be disappointed! read more

If I could give negative stars I would From our first interview with Dawn I had my suspicions about her wanting to do the my kids wedding in Paso Robles. She commented several times about it being so small (50-60 people) I felt uncomfortable. Then this awful corona virus mandate came down and we had to move our date, no choice. The wedding was to be April 5th. We moved it to Sept 19th, only date venue had open this year. She was booked that date but refused to give us our deposit back. We offered to take some service in kind if she couldn't cater: provide a bartender, a dessert table something for the $1000 she wanted to keep. She accused us of not working with her on the date. We could only get one date! We tried working with her on the deposit by offering to let her provide something to us, but she wouldn't. The fact is that we did not cancel, the government canceled for us. We had no choice. She could not provide the service the contract specified so we qualify to get our deposit back. Anyone in her profession who would create more agony after we already had to cancel a wedding (they really wanted to be up there in the spring), change travel plans and go through the pain this virus has caused is not anyone I would hire. Her lack of kindness and empathy in a difficult situation is appalling. Not someone I would want at a celebration. Especially when we tried to make it right, tried to work with her, but she refused. So now they don't have the wedding they had planned and lost $1000 to the caterer who cannot provide the service they contracted her for. I am sure there are many caterers who can do a great job with kindness and compassion and a willingness to work with you in a tough situation read more

I have not hired Pacific Harvest Catering for an event (yet), but I have definitely taken advantage of the to-go menu they began offering during shelter-in-place orders. The food is so delicious, it's obvious that they are using high quality ingredients and that their team cooks with integrity. Plus, the cost per-head for feeding our family when we order a meal to bring home is incredible! The tasty food is priced *very* competitively for what you might find in a local restaurant. What an incredible team of people and such amazing food!!!! Dawn was so pleasant to work with, and we thoroughly enjoyed the process leading up to our wedding. We live in San Francisco, so finding time to come do a tasting was not the easiest. They were very flexible with the date/time and made the tasting a really nice experience for us and our parents. The wedding day was absolutely stunning.. the presentation of the food stations was exactly what we had in mind. There were plenty of little details that made it look as if they spent hours setting them up. All of the guests raved about the menu too! We had food stations for our "cocktail" style reception, and served salmon with a tapenade, tri-tip with chimichurri sauce, two green salads, and the best mac and cheese you will ever have... literally. Cheesy goodness with butternut squash, pancetta, and a few different cheeses (sorry if that's not exact!). The only reasons I had to knock off a star: - The food came out, and the only reason I knew was my husband came over with a plate and said "You gotta try this!" Both our moms didn't get to try any mac and cheese, which was really sad because of all the great reviews. I would recommend trying to find the couple/immediate families first before setting the food out. I realize our reception was a little different since we had no assigned seating, but I didn't feel like we were prioritized at all during that portion. - They ran out of mac and cheese.. again, very sad. Obviously, with a buffet, sometimes this happens, but with a dish so yummy, I would suggest putting a server behind the table to serve it up for people to control portions. OR... plan on making an extra tray since its bound to be the most popular of all the food. - I would add a half star for the left over salmon and tri-tip that they left in a bag for us to take home the next day. Talk about a yummy main dish for dinner that night! Overall, Pacific Harvest did an amazing job, and truly made our vision of a "party" vs. a stuffy "wedding" come to life. I ordered the Chicken Romesco and was excited to see the sauce on the side-- the chicken was crazy delicious and the butter for the bread was out of this world. Food was one of my top priorities for our wedding. It had to be good and Pacific Harvest did not disappoint! We had an amazing tasting with them at their headquarters in Atascadero and immediately fell in love. They catered our 275 person wedding at a new venue in SLO called the Loma Grande Ranch on September 19th, 2015. Everything had to be brought in, including bathrooms, ovens, a dance floor, and all of the tables, chairs and linens. Dawn also helped us coordinate the rentals to make sure everything was accounted for. Pacific Harvest was originally supposed to cater our wedding in September of 2014, but 3 months before the wedding, we had to push the date back a year because I had been diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo 9 months of treatment. Dawn was so understanding and accommodating. She never questioned my intentions and she was so supportive throughout the year. On the day of the wedding, one of the comments I heard the most (and still hear) was "the food was amazing! It's the best food I've ever had at a wedding!" My husband and I could not have been luckier to have found Pacific Harvest Catering. Dawn and Pacific Harvest catered both our rehearsal dinner (highly recommend the paella) and our wedding reception. Both meals were absolutely amazing from presentation to taste! The buffets were BEAUTIFUL. Food is very important to us and we wanted to make sure the first meal we shared as husband and wife was something to remember and it was. It was also helpful that they had catered at our venue (The Grace Maralyn) numerous times before and knew it far better than we did. All of our other vendors (DJ, photographer, venue) highly recommended them Pacific Harvest and I can see why! They delivered exceptional service and a beautiful, delicious menu. Hiring Pacific Harvest Catering was one of the best decisions we made during the entire wedding planning process. We live in Indianapolis and had a destination wedding at HammerSky Vineyards, and Dawn was able to accommodate us at the very last minute for a tasting while we were out in California touring the venue. Our wedding planner had only set us up to meet two caterers so my mom scrambled to find us another - which ended up being Pacific Harvest. We were so impressed with Dawn's professionalism, responsiveness, kindness, and flexibility that we ended up picking Pacific Harvest to be our caterer. Dawn worked tirelessly with her team to create the menu of our dreams. I really wanted to serve my 'signature' summer salad (fresh burrata with peaches, heirloom tomatoes, basil, and olive oil) - and Dawn took my idea and completely ran with it. No request was too much - and Dawn tirelessly worked to source each and every cheese we wanted for our cheese table, even adding in special little details like honeycomb upon my request. Additionally, their prices are VERY reasonable for the amazing quality of cuisine and service they provide. On the wedding day our experience with Pacific Harvest was flawless. The service was amazing and the food even more incredible than we had hoped. Our friends still talk about our wedding food months after, and it was pretty much unanimous from all guests that our wedding food was by far the best they had ever eaten. Overall I could not recommend Pacific Harvest enough. My husband and I both agree that they were one of our favorite wedding vendors, and I am confident that they will make your wedding meal as memorable as they made ours. read more

Our menu was completely customized for what we liked, and even despite the challenges of the pandemic, we were able to do a tasting to fine-tune our menu. Serving great food was definitely a requirement for our wedding, which is why we decided to work with Pacific Harvest. In the months before the wedding, Dawn was unfailingly helpful and responsive, both over email and in our in-person meeting. We were especially grateful for this, as our venue was very DIY and its management was a bit flaky, so we really appreciated her advice and professionalism. Even when she had her first baby in the month before our wedding (congrats!!), she was STILL communicative and on top of all the details. But the weekend of the wedding is when I was SO GLAD we were working with Pacific Harvest. When I realized the table linens wouldn't be arriving with enough time for my friends and I to set up the reception tables the morning before the wedding, Dawn dropped them off herself a day early. And when one of the heat lamps broke during the rehearsal dinner, she got the rental company to bring out a replacement in time for the wedding reception, even though they were closed that day. And all this is in addition to the food and service itself, which was excellent across the board. I am a food writer and private chef, so it was really important to me to serve tasty food made with seasonal and local ingredients. I have heard from many guests -- a lot of whom work in the food world as well -- that it was the best meal they have ever eaten at a wedding. Others have said it is one of the best meals they have ever eaten, period. I'm still dreaming about a couple of the dishes! We went with family-style service and everything was well-timed, with a fresh platter of food coming out just as the last platter was passed around the table. I was also really happy with the Thai grilled chicken recipe I gave them to adapt; it was perfectly executed. And everything was plated beautifully. Because the wedding was so DIY, with many homemade touches and small details, I was a little nervous things would fall through the cracks, but Coral the catering manager and the staff on site that day were on top of everything. They weren't fazed by a last-minute move of the dessert buffet and didn't forget to give specially-made sides to our vegan guests. They were friendly and responsive and seemed genuinely invested in making our day the best it could be. I could not be more thankful for everything they did for us. If good food and excellent service are priorities for you, Pacific Harvest is absolutely the right choice. If you are wondering, "Is it worth paying a little more for them rather than Dirt Cheap Caterer X?" I would say, YES. For my money, the extra expense for a memorably delicious, well-executed meal at your once-in-a-lifetime event is worth every penny. read more

It was important for us to find caterers who prepared seasonal and local food at our wedding and we found it in Pacific Harvest. They were so accommodating to our food and drink requests and the dishes they prepared were ones you would expect at a fine dining restaurant. Our guests are *still* talking about the appetizers at cocktail hour, especially the korean tacos we had asked them to make! Everything during dinner was equally delicious as well, and there were many compliments about the dessert bar. Their waitstaff was extremely attentive and professional as well. One thing that stood out was that Paul personally brought out a beautiful wooden platter of appetizers for my husband and me after the ceremony. (Maybe they saw the earlier review and started doing this?) They wanted to make sure we got to enjoy them, since we were taking pictures during cocktail hour. How awesome is that? And trust me, all of the appetizers were beyond delicious. Dawn was absolutely wonderful to work with, and I can't emphasize how flexible and accommodating she was when helping to plan our menu, while keeping in mind what would be freshest during the season. First time giving a negative review on Yelp, but I feel obligated to be transparent about our experience. I am leaving a 2-star review only because the food was good. That said, there was a complete breakdown of service on our wedding day. The event was significantly understaffed, causing a snowball effect of other mistakes, oversights and delays. After the wedding, Dawn White, the co-owner and business manager, showed little to no empathy or remorse for the many issues that significantly impacted our reception. Instead, she either downplayed the impact or blamed her staff - never once taking ownership of the mess. During our tasting, Dawn told us that she would be at our wedding reception. She did not attend, yet dismissed our comments and criticized our wedding coordinator's decisions despite not seeing anything firsthand. As we shared with Dawn since our wedding, we hope our poor experience provided an opportunity for PHC to learn and avoid future mistakes. Ultimately, we hope future couples that do elect to use PHC are the beneficiaries of our poor experience. However, to be clear, we cannot recommend anyone use PHC for their wedding. When you imagine your wedding day, you don't imagine watching family and friends wait in long lines all evening for drinks, seeing guests with empty wine glasses at their tables and missing out on an hour of time with the live band due to significant catering delays. Below is a summary of our experience: * Only one bartender showed up when our contract called for two bartenders and a barback. This caused long lines all night. * Because of the lengthy line at the bar, our grand entrance was delayed over 30 minutes. * Once seated for dinner, there were long lulls between dishes. (i.e. It took about 15-20 minutes from our plated salads being served until any other food came out.) Dawn told us that with family style dinners, it's standard to "let a few minutes go between dishes to allow guests to pass around what's been served," but these lulls were excessive. * Our coordinator and her assistants counted just four servers at our reception. Our contract called for nine servers. Dawn, who was not there, claimed there were six servers there (plus a trainee). Regardless, it was insufficient, especially considering that we had family-style dinner and tableside wine service. * We paid for tableside wine service and there were not enough servers to provide this. The owners of the venue and one of our coordinator's assistants actually had to serve tableside wine because of the lack of servers. Eventually, we had to ask them to simply leave bottles of wine at each table for guests to serve themselves in an attempt to make up for any lost time. * At one point, a server told guests that he could not serve white wine because it had not been chilled. * These snafus delayed everything even more. We saved 15 minutes by forgoing sunset photos, but then lost 30-40 minutes back from dinner service taking far longer than scheduled. In total, we were over an hour late starting our first dance. * We paid to rent Moscow Mule mugs, but PHC misplaced them, so they were only used for the final 30-45 minute of our reception - after I specifically asked the bartender about them. In closing, as you can imagine, we were extremely upset and disappointed with the level of service provided at our reception. We were extremely communicative throughout the year-plus prior to our wedding and didn't have any changes to our menu. (FYI, Dawn was always slow to respond or needed "reminders" to respond throughout the yearlong planning process.) At the end of the day, Dawn refunded us for the bartending, the copper mugs and the tax/service charge (20%) stemming from those charges. She had previously agreed to refund the tableside wine service because of a separate issue. She did not refund us any money for the breach in contract for number of servers or for any of the emotional distress caused. She never sincerely apologized or showed personal remorse. With that said, the food was terrific and the one bartender we did have made great drinks. read more

We were referred to Pacific Harvest by our wedding venue, The Gardens at Peacock Farms. Dawn and her staff are amazing. They were able to create a personal and seasonal menu for our fall wedding that was DELICIOUS! We had apple and goat cheese salad, gourmet mac and cheese, bacon green beans, stuffed pork loin and golden mashed potatoes. Our veggies friends also love their fall squash pasta. They even made home made fresh vanilla bean ice cream to go along with our pie bar! The servers were very professional and friendly to all the guests throughout the wedding, and made sure me and my bridal party had enough to eat and drink all night long. My only mini complaint is because we served our dinner family style it seemed the cooks had a difficult time getting everything out together. So all the sides were served one at a time, then the main course..kinda a la carte. But everything was still soooo good! read more

We recently got married in SLO and we were looking for a caterer that had the same philosophy about food and cooking as we do. My husband is a chef and he and I love to cook together using the freshest ingredients possible. We buy organic and local because it's something we believe in. The night I found Pacific Harvest online, I read through their entire website and I just knew it was meant to be. They hold their level of quality up to a very high standard and they know how important is to create and serve wholesome, delicious food. Dawn was wonderful to work with. She and I created a menu together and it could not have turned out any better. Everyone at the wedding raved about how beautiful everything was and how flavorful the dishes were. My only regret is that I hardly ate! (Typical of a bride, I hear). I wish I'd taken some time to really enjoy the fruits of their labor, but I have awesome pics to remind me. Our wedding was last weekend at Halter Ranch. PHC was one of the first vendors we booked, and one of the best decisions we made planning our wedding. They were highly recommended by our venue and the food was insanely good. Dawn totally nailed our vision of family style Italian-meets-California-farm-to-table-wine-country. The menu was inspired. Our guests were raving about how delicious everything was. The favorites were the apricot-tarragon glazed chicken and the whipped mashed potatoes. The appetizers were incredible too (my favorite were the sausage-stuffed mushrooms) and everything looked so beautiful, we barely needed to decorate our tables. I couldn't believe how delicious everything was (even the bread & butter!). My only regret at my wedding was not eating more :) The quality of the food and the service was incredible. Pricing was super reasonable too, especially when you taste the food and realize how good it is. There were no hidden costs or surprises...they even include cake cutting/champagne toast and coffee, which other vendors will sometimes charge extra for. We had a lovely elegant barn wedding that was catered by Pacific Harvest Catering on Sept. 12, 2015. Not only were the appetizers of wrapped asparagus, stuffed mushrooms and more fabulous, but the main course of chicken, tri-tip and their celebrated mac'n'cheese were extra tasty with people going back again and again. Especially for the mac. Dawn worked easily with our wedding planner though they had not worked together before. The catering crew also broke down tables and chairs in a way that did not make anybody feel rushed. One particularly important note was my daughter married into a family that has restaurants in the area and knows events imposture down. Incredible food and service! We used Pacific Harvest for our wedding at Greengate Ranch on April 30th, in addition to our rehearsal dinner and a bridal brunch. All of the guests were blown away by the food! We opted for family style, which really flowed well and felt like you were having dinner at a friend's house as opposed to a mass wedding feeding. The food quality exceeded expectations and the service was top notch. Though all interactions with the Pacific Harvest team were seamless, the moment we knew they were on another level was during photos. After the ceremony, we couldn't go to the cocktail hour since we had to take pictures at a different part of the property. We all were hungry and were definitely in need of a drink. They had a few servers come over in a truck with trays of appetizers and wine/beer. This is the kind of extra step that really makes you appreciate quality service, especially during your hectic wedding day. Overall, I would highly recommend Dawn and her team for your wedding. Let me start with WOW! Pacific Harvest did an amazing job with our wedding reception. Dawn was always so helpful and willing to answer any of my questions. We knew as soon as we met with them, they were the first caterer's we spoke with, that they were the ones. They let us try a butternut squash soup they were making and it was divine. They made coming up with a vegetarian menu so easy and had no problem when we asked for a few vegan options. Everything was so good, those who eat meat didn't feel like they were missing a thing. Everyone raved about the food and the service. I had people coming up to me telling me how helpful the serving staff was. They made the food one of the best parts of the day. Pacific Harvest catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding in August. Dawn was a pleasure to work with from the start, providing great menu ideas, accommodating our requests, and patiently answering my MANY questions. She was also very helpful in providing guidance on our rental order. Our tasting for the wedding was really what sold us - the food was beautifully presented and tasted amazing, so we booked on the spot! The rehearsal dinner was a very casual Mexican buffet, and we and our guests loved it! Multiple people went back for second and third helpings. Coral and the rest of the team did a great job of setting everything up and making sure there was enough food. We even got to keep some leftovers for late-night snacking! I wasn't around to witness all the setup and prep that the staff did on the wedding day, but I know there was a ton of behind the scenes work. Our venue didn't have a full kitchen, so they set up a tent and just rolled with it like the true professionals they are. The food was delicious - standouts included the butternut squash and poblano pepper empanada appetizers, heirloom tomato and fresh mozzarella salad, salmon grilled on cedar planks, and aged white cheddar macaroni and cheese. The buffet table looked fantastic - the props and platters they used took the presentation to the next level! All night, people kept telling us how amazing the food was and how friendly and professional the staff were (the bartenders got a big shout-out as well!). Many people told us it was the best wedding food they'd ever had, and I have to agree! Of all the caterers we considered, it's clear that Pacific Harvest gave us the best value for our money. read more

Pacific Harvest is awesome! We got a ton of feedback that the food was delicious! Dawn and her team were so great to us during the entire planning process. We actually were able to eat at our wedding and I'll tell you everything was fresh and wonderful! It's hard to make anything taste good when you make it for 160 people, but everything WAS good. While we were taking photos with the wedding party during the cocktail hour, a server came out to the vineyard to bring us the apps they were serving downstairs! My reviewer name indicates I can be a grumpy Gus. But this caterer was fabulous in ever way for our daughter's weekend barn wedding. From setting the tables as we wanted with our place settings and centerpieces to passing exquisite appetizers of asparagus and stuffed mushrooms (there were more but the MOB gets so darn busy.) The menu of chicken, tri-tip, potatoes, mac'n'cheese and salad was fantastic. I really even liked the butter for the bread. They did a fantastic job from top to bottom, and everybody just kept asking, "How did you even find them." Well, I'm honored to have called Dawn once a friend though we haven't seen each other much in recently years. So, I trusted her completely and it paid off. Hire Seth and Dawn. Rarely do you hear quests talking for days after a wedding about how good the food was. Well, that was the case for my daughter's wedding September 17th at the Santa Margarita Ranch. Despite the challenge of a rural setting and the 97 degree heat, Dawn and her staff provided exceptional service. Although I was too busy to try the appetizers, friends and family raved about them especially the ceviche and the prosciutto wrapped figs. We chose buffet style service for dinner and I was impressed how quickly all 140 guests were served. I did manage to eat dinner and proceeded to lick my plate clean; everything was delicious! I have to say that it tasted even better than our initial tasting with Dawn way back in December. And believe what you hear about their grilled tri tip and aged white cheddar mac & cheese; outstanding! Kudos to Dawn and her very professional staff and many thanks for making my daughter's wedding even more memorable. read more
