I was getting quoted around $11k for an engine swap and he got it done for $6,500, easily the best price I found. He didn't just swap the engine either replaced my radiator, fuel pump, gaskets, coolant, spark plugs and took care of everything the right way. Super fair, reliable, and never felt like I was getting overcharged. Even after the work was done, he's still helping me check engine codes from AutoZone and making sure everything is running right. Definitely earned my trust and I'll keep recommending him to family and friends.

The owner is extremely kind, but after meeting him your pockets may feel a whole lot lighter. I called him after being in a serious plight and needing help on a Sunday. I believe due to his location he gets a lot of Sunday Google calls for help; ones he will answer and assist. He let us know that it COULD be expensive if it was a detailed and extensive job. We wouldn't know until we were there so we got a tow on a hot day with our kids tired and hungry. He opened his shop for us and gave us somewhere to sit. As all the reviews say he's really nice and a good talker. My ideas part with them about his honesty and not taking advantage of people. Maybe he picks and chooses, who knows. And maybe the law of supply and demand doesn't bother some customers. We were charged $500 for one hour of work including his drive time and picking up parts, and $20 for parts. It's something my husband could have easily done if we were near our house, so we were familiar with the process. He also passes on his credit card cost to his customer at 2.6%. I had flashbacks of people over charging for toilet paper or hand sanitizer during the pandemic. We were happy to be on the road again, but he's no Good Samaritan.

I was driving from Merced to Las Vegas when something told me I should stop and get my oil changed. When I pulled into another shop, they told me they couldn't do the oil change because my car had an active coolant leak. At that point, I was in Bakersfield, hours away from home and still hours away from my destination. As a woman traveling alone, I was honestly scared and worried that something was seriously wrong with my car. Thankfully, I found this shop. David took the time to listen to what was going on and immediately wanted to help. Even though they were busy, he understood my situation and didn't just treat me like another customer. He genuinely cared. That meant a lot to me, especially being so far away from home and not knowing what was wrong with my car. After taking a look, they found that my radiator cap was broken and causing the leak. They replaced it, and just like that, the problem was solved. The relief I felt in that moment was huge. What I thought might turn into a major repair ended up being a simple fix because of their honesty and willingness to help. What really stood out to me, though, was the kindness. David even called me the next day to make sure I had made it safely to my destination. That simple gesture meant so much and showed me that he truly cares about the people who walk through his doors. It's not every day you come across genuinely good people, and this shop is full of them. I am beyond grateful for everyone who helped me that day. If I'm ever back in Bakersfield and need anything for my car, I know exactly where I'm going. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into one that restored my faith that there are still honest, caring people out there.
