The campground comes with a picnic table, fire pit, water hook up, and electricity outlets. There's also a restroom that's somewhat maintained, for showers and toilet use. Showers are $1 for 3 minutes, but there are no coin exchange machines, so be sure to bring your own quarters. Also note, that showers are only operating from 10am-6pm. It gets pretty loud at night, with tons of frogs and birds calling, but hey, that's nature! If you're looking to do tent camping, this probably isn't the best spot. Most people around us were all RV camping, and we definitely felt very out of place. Probably wouldn't do this spot again, but it's close enough to a lot of shops in case you forget something and need to go out. If we had more time, we'd probably explore the area a little more, but the campsite itself was okay.

So don't think you will camp here and walk to the beach or even to any stores. 2. The hook ups are nice. Bring your own fire ring. 3. I personally thought the staff was great. I saw one staff member correcting a camper- but they deserved it and I am very glad they actually will say something. 4. Your Verizon coverage "can" work but is dependent on the number of people that are using it in the area. Thats not the campgrounds fault. Verizon works great until a million others log on. 5. Horseback riding available. The not so good: 1. Cramped! You are in here like sardines. 2. Not the easiest to get in or out. 3. Its possible to smell the sewage in certain places around the clubhouse. Yuck! 4. The neighbors are close. Really close. You will hear the music and conversations. They weren't bad at all, but be aware. 6. No fire rings. 7. Some of the permanent residents are like sanford and son. You will see some of that. This place isnt bad. Its not great. If they revamped the place and gave it a complete makeover with larger sites and fewer people- I would pay a lot of money to stay here.

We rented a premium site with a dog relief area which was very nice, as shown in my photo. We were right near the front of the park though, so traffic was very heavy and our dogs were consistently entertained by the people walking by our site. There are also small cabins for rent in the park and our site butted right up next to one. It was WAY too close IMO because their windows went directly into our site. Kinda awkward. This park was very busy since we stayed over the weekend and was full of people who were attending a nearby baseball tournament. That meant a lot of kids and some with no supervision. One night I had to go outside to ask kids to stop running through our site because it was well past the quiet hours and disturbing our dogs. I didn't notice any park employee enforcing rules so that was kind of a bummer. The store onsite was very nice and our kids took advantage of the game room, namely pool and the ping pong table. Overall we would stay here again, but request a site that was near the back of the park and maybe off to the side to avoid so much traffic.

You can rent an open space to park your RV or book one of their cabins. The RV spots offer various sizes for larger or smaller RVs and some come with a fire pit, table chairs, and a set of adirondack chairs for lounging. We rented an RV and reserved spot between the playground and pool; which the kids loved. All of the RV spots come with full plug-in electricity and water connections. If you're looking to leave this kid friendly campground, you're in luck! This location is prime with about Avila Beach being about 3-minutes away, Pismo about 15-minutes, and the Avila Barn being walking distance. Like I said, I'm not a camper, but I could see myself staying here again next summer!

Short drive to the dunes and within walking distance to the pier. Restrooms are fairly maintained. Also token showers are available. Site includes a picnic table and a fire ring. Much better than the private RV park next door which can get highly congested.

But other than that, it was a great stay. We reserved 6 months in advance, and our site was close to the dunes so it was just a short hike to the dog-friendly (leash-on) beach. The sandy beach is solid, so you can ride your bike on the sand for miles, no problem whatsoever. My prior review lists the specifics of the campground. It is a favorite of ours, and we can't wait to come back.

We got there just before 6, quickly discovered that the spot they wanted us to take would put the fire put under the middle of our rig. Not only could we not park there, but there was no place to turn around. We got to back out in the pouring down rain, between cars lining the already narrow road. By this time it was after 6 and the office was closed. The camp host told us to pull in anywhere and check with the office in the morning, that this was a common occurrence. At this point our dogs had been in the truck for 8 hours. We couldn't set up their yard because we didn't know if we would be moving in the morning. Fast forward to the next morning (thanksgiving) and we have dogs that have been cooped up for over 24 hours. Our dogs got into an altercation from the stress of not having their yard and we ended up at the emergency vet, our little pug with her eye out of the socket. So far we are at $1400 and she may still lose her eye. The spot they moved us into was a double space and should have been our original placement. There was no reason they could t have put us in one of those originally. There was another right across from us that was empty the whole time... Otherwise it was ok. We didn't use any of the amenities, it was really close to the beach and some good local eateries. The spaces that aren't double are narrow and directly on top of your neighbors, many of whom were not very pleasant. I will say that the camp host all the way at the very end of the park was so nice and even offered to let us use her fire pit if we needed to. The girl in the office was trying to accommodate us but didn't seem pleased about it.

Numerous restaurants and a Vons grocery store less than a mile away on Grand Avenue. Very clean and quiet. We're looking forward to staying here again. We had our 5th wheel towed here by Pismo Coast Village Resort's RV Storage. Fin's Bar & Grill is fantastic. Francisco's Country Kitchen is awesome for breakfast and lunch.

Location is perfect for beach lovers and wanders, five minute walk to the Pismo State Beach and Ocean Dunes Recreation Area with miles of golden sands to explore. Like wise, Fins Bar and Grill, 5 minute walk, serves amazing seafood and some of the best Clam Chowder. Great place for a beach get-a-way. Five stars, Highly Recommended.
