I have worked with JD and Pacific Computers on multiple projects and can say that I am 100% confident in their abilities. I see a lot of positive reviews about computer support but Pacific Computers also does things like Wireless access points, surveillance cameras, and network firewalls to protect your business. I trust them fully to take care of MY customers when it comes to maintenance agreements or resolving items on-site when I am unable to get there - that says a lot. The Apple Genius bar guy recommended me to this little shop in Calabassas for data recovery because my hard drive fried! I was skeptical and freaking out about lost photos and videos of MY KIDS!!!!!! Pacific was able to save EVERYTHING and sell me a new hard drive. I think this is the TRUE GENIUS BAR! They should get a medal. I wish they were Apple authorized so the new hard drive would have been under warranty, but I didn't even mind paying the extra $189 because I GOT ALL MY FILES BACK, which Apple refused to do. The Genius bar couldn't boot me out the door fast enough but Pacific took the time to explain the process and give realistic expectations. I recommend everyone go here!! My computer hard drive crashed - hard. JD replaced the drive and recovered many of the programs, including Windows and Office, and much of the data. When I got the computer home and installed late on a Friday afternoon, I found that I could not connect to the net. The Ethernet on the motherboard had also failed. JD stopped by my house on his way home and loaned me a Ethernet USB until I could purchase and install one of my own (over the weekend). On Monday, I found that I could not "see" my server. JD called in and remotely corrected the setting. All for the price of the repair! As I said, my computer crashed hard...JD was key to my recovery... read more

I don't like to and don't usually write unfavorable reviews unless I feel the experience was bad enough to justify writing the review. Unfortunately, my experience at Pacific Computers was one of those times. I brought my computer in to be fixed after receiving a personal recommendation and reading all of these great Yelp reviews. I brought my computer in because it would not start, and now I have a keyboard that doesn't work. I never had any problems with the keyboard. I informed the shop that the keyboard worked fine before I brought it in, and hoped they would at least offer to look into the problem and try to fix it since it happened under their watch. If that happened, this review would be a positive review about going above and beyond and providing excellent service, and they would have won a new customer and good recommendations to others. Instead, I am inconvenienced because I can't use the computer and have to figure out what I will do to fix this new problem. I feel the company didn't care much about it and would only look into it if I paid more money. It seems the company is only interested in money. I would not recommend. read more
