I'm glad I found these guys, I took my Diesel truck to 2 other shops and they couldn't fix my AC issue, not to mention that most mechanics keep your truck for like 2-3 days just for a diagnostic. Cannot emphasize how great this shop is. Our family owns a small business and recently began looking to add a diesel truck to our operations. At early stages of growth, businesses need to be mindful of expenses (and returns on expenses), so the decisions of which diesel truck to buy, how to repair/maintain it, and how reliable it would be for time sensitive obligations; were all absolutely critical. We found a couple of truck options, did as much research as we could (to our surprise, very little online content on the subject matters we were looking into), and called as many truck repair centers as we could in the Bay Area. And then I got a hold of George. George is the owner of the business, and services lots of large businesses by helping them repair and maintain their fleets. This didn't stop him from spending 45 minutes on the phone talking to me (a company in startup mode, that doesn't even own a truck yet) about potential truck problems, maintenance considerations, environmental and regulatory obligations, and more ... He also took the time to share his thoughts on gas vs. diesel, types of diesel trucks, and foreseeable repair costs. He was very honest with me, and knew his stuff. He also is well connected with other industry experts that can help you get in touch with other truck repair experts, including those that can help with lift gates and box replacements. At the end of our call, all of his helpful advice lead us to make our investment decision, and we plan on retaining George + Company for all of our truck repair and service needs. Been in the towing business for over 30 years. When one of my trucks broke down on the freeway recently, I called another company to tow it in for me. I had never been to California Fleet Maint before but they were located right around the corner from me, so I thought I would give them my business and let them take a look at the truck. I will not make that mistake again. They presented me with a bill of almost $500.00 to replace a plugged fuel filter. I complained and they knocked a hundred dollars off my bill. The truck made it 26 miles before it quit again in Fremont. This time they agreed to tow it back to the shop. A week later, I get a call that my truck is ready. Turns out, they charged me for two hours of diagnostic time when the truck was first towed in, but never checked the fuel pressure in the lift pump. I called two other shops and was told by both, the fuel pressure is the first thing they should have checked. When I picked the truck up this morning, they presented me with a $1312.00 bill for towing the truck and replacing the pump. The pumps are about $125.00 and the labor should have been about an hour and a half.... You do the math. You should be very careful before you let these people anywhere near your truck read more

California Fleet Maintenance helped my company (Sunrun Inc) get out of a big jam last night. My box truck broke down in a terrible spot on Hwy 580 around 4:00pm. Due to where the truck broke down no one could help. George the owner showed up after many companies said no around 7:00pm, he called the CHP and was able to get me out of this terrible jam. Avoid going here. When you arrive, it may take up to an hour for someone to even acknowledge that you are there as they keep walking right by you. For what they promised to be a 3 day job, they kept my vehicle for 3 months. They didn't have time to work on it. We agreed on a cap but they never called to get approval to go over the cap and then tried to charge 3 times the agreed upon cap and didn't even do half the work. They say they will call you but they never, ever,ever,ever,ever do. They have a dirt yard and they kept my doors open, filling my interior with dust & dirt. The owner George is great but it stops there. The supervisor Manny is simply incompetant. The owner gives the supervisor instructions and makes promises based on those instructions but the supervisor just doesn't follow direction. Twice I was told that my vehicle was ready but upon arriving, again Manny didn't do what the owner told him to do and I had to go back home without my vehicle AGAIN. They take on more work than they can handle. Their yard is already way to small yet they are moving to a much smaller yard. I can only imagine things getting worse, not better. read more
