Had the honor of working with this rescue 3 weeks ago. Their adoption process ensures their dogs go to great homes

I Had the honor of working with this rescue 3 weeks ago. Their process for adoption proves how much they care their dogs go to great homes, I would highly recommend them!

Seriously the best! I adopted my baby 18 months ago and look how happy he is to say hi! They love the dogs. They are so great with adopters to make the best match. Cannot thank them enough.

They took in eight chickens we rescued from the side of the freeway in East LA, and Nickie sent me tons of updates along the way, which I really appreciated. Their communication has been wonderful, and I feel they make decisions based on what is best for the animals. You can also see exactly where the donations go when you visit...the chicken enclosure is honestly one of the most elaborate and impressive setups I've ever seen. I feel confident that money donated here goes directly back into caring for the animals and supporting the sanctuary. Thank you for existing and for everything you do for these animals.

We seriously would have bought a case of the dressing and vegan butter. But what made it really special was the peaceful energy of being around the rescued animals and seeing how content they are, not to mention the beautiful golden hills behind us. The entire experience felt calming and purposeful in a way that's hard to describe. The team clearly care deeply about what they're doing, and that energy is contagious. Whether you're vegan, just curious about plant-based food, or want to support a good cause, this place is very worth checking out. Nothing could beat this experience. Thank you Tamir & Nickie

My boyfriend and I found one of this rescue's dogs after she had been intentionally left alone at Rustic Canyon Park at night. The owner later admitted to me that she had hoped someone would simply pick the dog up. She also later texted us asking if we would keep the dog because she no longer wanted her anymore. I have text messages documenting these conversations. Rather than turning our backs on the situation, we opened our home to this dog, paid for her care, spent days with her, and worked to find her a safe future. We had absolutely nothing to gain--we simply didn't want an abandoned dog to end up in danger. The dog also had a reported bite history, making the situation even more serious. I expected the rescue to recognize the gravity of what had happened and work collaboratively to ensure the dog's safety and the safety of the public. Instead, I was met with defensiveness and hostility. During my conversation with the rescue, I was told the owner was "a good person" despite the fact that she had intentionally abandoned the dog, later admitted she no longer wanted her, and asked us to keep her permanently. My concerns were dismissed, and I was spoken to disrespectfully despite the fact that I had stepped in solely to help. I fully understand that the rescue may have had the legal right to take the dog back. That is not my issue. My issue is the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and appreciation shown toward someone who volunteered their own time, money, and home to protect one of their dogs after it had been abandoned. When they picked the dog up, they refused to provide even a general reassurance about her future or care. While I understand not disclosing confidential information such as a foster or trainer's identity, the complete lack of transparency only added to my concern. I hope Athena is ultimately safe and receives the training and responsible placement she deserves. I also hope this rescue reflects on how it communicates with members of the public who step in to protect animals in crisis. Kindness, accountability, and professionalism should never be too much to ask.

Buckle up and please read through this one will be a long one…read more I brought my dog here, my baby, on September 28th 2026 after begin denied help from countless vets, animal hospitals, and animal emergency rooms. (I live an hour away) When Laurel heard what was going on with my Pinto she said bring him in, let's get him fixed and we will figure out the rest after. I brought him in and he ended up having to have emergency surgery for an obstruction that had ended up rupturing because I had spent days trying to find someone to help me with Pinto. However with the amazing work and quick action of Laurel and her entire team Pinto made it through his surgery. Pinto had stayed a few days and was released home on Saturday October 3rd 2026 in the evening and when we went back for his recheck on Monday he unfortunately had another rupture and went right back for another emergency surgery. It scared me so much that he was going back under after such a short period of time but staff reassured me they would do everything they could for Pinto. That is exactly what they did Pinto made it through surgery and is still in recovery but he is looking better then ever I know this through the video and photos that they have sent me. I have read many of the reviews as well before writing this and I wanted to address a few things. Firstly to everyone who has had the experience of needing to bring their fur baby in for an emergency I am truly sorry you have had to experience it is absolutely gut wrenching. However there are some things that I have found consistent with the bad reviews that need to be considered by any new patients looking at those reviews. 1. The staff being rude and or cold. When I first walked in the door I too had that first initial reaction that the staff were harsh with how they spoke. Once Pinto was out of the woods though I was able to reflect better without my emotions clouding me. Laurel and her team noticed and reacted to the fact that they could see Pinto was in very critical condition and I had been rambling explaining the situation. That supposed "coldness" lasted only while we were in the danger zone because they were worried about him. I have never had to leave him with anybody but this is a team I trust wholeheartedly with my pets. 2. The fact that it is low cost, some of the same surgeries that I was quoted at other places was about 10k and here it was about a quarter of that and although each situation is different which means different prices. All I know is that this was 100% my fault because I know how much vets cost and yet I didn't plan for an emergency for my baby and I have learned my lesson and will not only start putting money aside in case of anything and possibly even get pet insurance. All I know is that the staff at Kinder4Rescue saved my Pinto and they did not judge me for me messing up as a pet parent and they worked with me and my situation when 20+ other vets wouldn't give me the time of day. 3. My last point is going to be regarding updates on your pet during/after procedures and or care within the facility. I have had different people from the team reach out to me at different stages of Pintos stay including a photo of him the morning after his surgery. However, if I want an update anytime throughout the day I call and they have always been more than happy to tell me what has been going on with Pinto and how he has been doing. They are an extremely busy hospital and just like human hospitals they aren't going to update you every 1-2 hours (as much as we want that it's just not feasible) however as I stated above they were more than happy to answer any questions I had if I called. In conclusion, Kinder4Rescue is a place I would 1000% recommend for your fur babies. It is always nerve wrecking leaving them with someone especially when some situations are dire but take with a grain of salt the complaints you see here as they are coming from angry and emotional pet parents; and although they have a right to feel all of those things it is not okay that out of anger they could write a review that deters another pet parent from a place that actually cares about the animals.
