I was sure that it would take longer than the 3 hour minimum, but Sam and Dastan were miraculously able to wrap up the job in 3 hours on the dot. They were up front and transparent about any extra charges (we were charged $150 for the 32 steps up to our flat). And these guys worked HARD with hardly any downtime or breaks. I was floored. You may be able to find a lower hourly rate with other moving companies in the city but I was beyond pleased with their hard work and was happy to pay the rate with how quickly they got the job done. Nothing was broken, including my vintage floor lamp that I was worried about. I would highly recommend this company, they aren't kidding calling themselves the G.O.A.T.

They were immediately in contact with me, and told me it was going to be tough on such late notice but they were there working hard to find someone. It was stressful, but they called me an hour before the time scheduled and said they had 2 guys for me! The price is well worth it and these people really know what they are doing. Our big studio took about 2 hours to load into the small uhaul and about 45 mins to unload at our new place. They moved all of the big furniture and didn't leave a scratch on anything! I have recommended this service to all my friends and co workers because it is more than worth it! The trucker turned out to be a complete liar, which we learned when so much of our stuff was waterlogged. Good thing the movers at our final destination (Washington state) took video of water pouring into the truck in the rain. During the move into our new place I tried to get hold of Bellhop via phone (AI assistant- super annoying, didn't result in a call for 5-6 hours) and text. They completely dropped the ball. By a miracle, our stuff arrived in ok shape, even though the boxes were soaked. I only filed a claim for an expensive linen lampshade, even though we did end up with some scratches on the furniture. In July I decided to use…read moreSecure Space storage with a locked in charge rate of $238.00 per month; it was a verbal confirmation. .....only to receive an up charge in October, 2 months after moving in, my monthly charge was going up to $355.00 per month in November. I decided to contact company as they were open to my input, however, they were only able to give me a $20.00 dollar discount. So now I pay $334.75 that started in December. Gee that's still a $95.75 increase. Even the rental markets for apartments only go up 10%. I do not recommend this company as I still feel like they gouged me and took advantage. I was able to see less cost for similar storage than current pricing before I decided on Secure Space and I hope all company's don't do this. If I had known they would do this I would have chosen another, closer to me, storage unit. I feel like I'm locked in as getting stuff to storage was costly and to remove it will be also, so I guess I'm stuck. Customer service through company office is not consistent and what reflected at office is not always same as talking and securing on line. One has to follow up to guarantee pricing. I will compliment the office staff as they are sympathetic, helpful and personal and units appear secure. I'm not sure these 2 benefits are worth the $98.00 monthly increase. I recently wrote an honest review after the place sent me an email with a request for me to write a…read morereview for them. I am very honest and fair and never just write a review that is 5 stars or 1 star because I am emotionally charged or anything. My hope is someone will see my review and have an honest view of what to expect. 2 days after my review of this facility the manager woman I have never seen before handed me an envelope with a smile on her face and said my lease is being terminated and I have till the first to get out. She said I had multiple violations accessing the property after closing where my gate code was used. I told her that was impossible because I am very vigilant about abiding by all the rules and I promised her there is nobody who can show a single piece of evidence backing that claim. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager; so I asked to speak to someone above her and she said that I was not allowed to speak to anyone above her but she would let them know I would like to speak to them, but not to get my hopes up because these decisions are almost never reversed. I said this feels very much like I'm being discriminated against and that I'm disabled and the unit is very important to me. I repeated that I never broke the rule and nobody ever mentioned me violating a rule to allow me to make sure I never did it again and she said I was seen in the parking lot past 10pm and that is considered a violation. Me making a phone call after leaving my storage before I drove to my next destination is the claim after she realized I never accessed the gate with my code after hours and that was a bogus claim. I cannot believe I am being kicked out because I didn't give them a 5 stars review. This is the most childish behavior and to smile in someone's face when you know you are making a decision that is going to make a persons life extremely difficult is so messed up. How someone can enjoy that moment is disturbing. I used to be a Forman working up on the light rail and even when I had to fire someone who definitely deserved it, I felt terrible delivering that news because I was causing unknown hardship for him. This woman looked like it's her favorite thing to do. Save your money and energy and go to a nicer place with a better staff. These people were the worst, and their units were horrible too. I suggest going to pearl street self storage if it's convenient for you. Thank people are very nice and the units are the best I've ever seen. I can't write enough to describe how horrible secure space is. Don't go through what I went through and go somewhere else
