We absolutely love Pacific Blue Swim Lessons! Coach Michelle is wonderful. I have three kids at different ages and skill levels, and she has helped every one of them become water safe while continuing to build their strength and confidence in the water. She truly customizes each lesson based on how they're progressing and always challenges them to go a little further. Nicole, the owner, is also fantastic with communication and keeps everything running smoothly. The pool is nice and warm, and there's plenty of seating for parents to comfortably watch. We couldn't be happier with our experience! read more

Miss Annicka has been working with my 2.5 almost 3 year old daughter since June and she has been such a valuable teacher to her in more ways than just water safety and skills, She has worked with my daughter on her emotional regulation and has developed such a special relationship with her. After only 3 lessons my daughter started swimming with no life jacket or assistance from me. i cannot recommend this swim school enough, We feel so lucky to have a safe and supportive environment to bring her weekly. read more

Pacific Blue has been tremendous in getting our 18 month familiar and confident in the water. We just completed one month and his ability to take instruction, anticipate certain movements and be comfortable in the water is significant! So glad to be apart of this group and look forward to the future continuing! The facility is beautiful, the amenities for us to use with the bathroom and extra swim diapers and anything we may need is wonderful! read more

Ms Nicole is the best! We feel blessed to have found such a great place for all three of our kids to learn how to swim and be water safe. If we had three more kids we'd bring them here too. Pro tip: even if it's not the most ideal time slot, take it. Shes in demand and fills up fast, but If you can have a little patience and work with her she's great about figuring things out regarding timing. read more

I've had both of my kids enrolled here for about a year and could not recommend it more! Nicole is incredibly knowledgeable and places water safety above all else. Annika and Michelle are equally awesome to work with. Both of my kids were challenging to work with for different reasons. My son, 6, was extremely scared of the pool and he's come such a long way. He's made so much progress and can swim and actually looks forward to water activities. My daughter, 2, cried every lesson for months. They were so patient and despite the crying, she learned a lot. Now she looks forward to lessons and is on her way to learning all of the skills she needs. Honestly I could rave about this for days! read more

So far we've had such a great experience with Pacific Blue swim lessons. At home we could not get our 5 year old out of his floatation device. After 1 lesson, he gained the confidence to leave the floaty behind and start using safe swim skills learned in lessons at home. He's doing amazing! We're also working on those safe swim skills for our 2 year old. She's extremely adventurous with the water and we want her to be safe exploring it. She's learning tons! The one-on-one lessons have been super positive. The pool is so clean and warm the kids are really enjoying it. It's so nice to see the skills learned in our own pool play at home too. read more

My 2 1/2 year old daughter has been taking swim lessons here for over a year and I cannot recommend it more! She has been taught excellent safety swimming skills and feels so comfortable and confident in the water. The teachers are able to ease her into the lessons then get to work while incorporating songs and play. She looks forward to going to swim each week and I have absolutely loved to watch her progress! The instructors are kind and patient with every child that I see come in and take time to make them feel comfortable with them and in the water. We love Pacific Blue! read more

We adopted our special needs grandson who is now 3. He's been taking swimming with Nicole for almost 2 years. When he started swimming he couldn't sit up. Swimming with Nicole helped him so much with this. She definitely understands special needs kids. He now floats, holds his breath, kicks and turns and can crawl out of the pool. We love Nicole, Ryan and family. read more

Incredible family-owned business with an outstanding swim curriculum. The philosophy behind the lesson trajectory makes for steady and reliable progression towards water safety and, eventually, skilled stroke acquisition depending on your child's age and physical abilities/limitations. The facility is beautiful and tucked away in a safe neighborhood that is easy to access, but rural enough to avoid heavy traffic. Private parking makes for a quick entry/exit from your lesson. The pool is always immaculate and the water is warm for year-round comfort regardless of the weather. read more

We could not be more impressed with our swim lessons! Our son started when he was a little over a year old and it was the best investment we could have ever made! He not only is an amazing swimmer but learned pool safety and can swim in any pool no matter the size. He's such a confident swimmer and we owe it all thanks to his lessons! After 3 years of lessons at another swim school our son could not swim. We switched him to Pacific Blue and within the first swim season he was swimming! Within our second swim season at Pacific Blue he made swim team! We are still at Pacific Blue as they are helping with weekly lessons to improve his technique for swim team. I can't say enough good things about this place. Besides it being an excellent swim school - the property is absolutely beautiful and very enjoyable as a parent to sit and watch. read more

There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful Ms. Nicole is. She is outstanding at what she does. My children adore her. We have been to other swim schools but the one on one attention that Ms. Nicole provides is unparalleled to anyone else. As a parent of special needs children classes can prove to be a challenge at times. Ms. Nicole's ability to communicate with children is remarkable, she takes water safety very seriously and it shows in her lessons, her tone and the skills that are taught. The kids in her class understands that and she reinforces the rules of the pool constantly and with grace and understanding. read more

I only have positive things to say about Nicole and her teaching style. My daughter didn't like water on her face at all (even in the bathtub). We tried private, in-home lessons and a local swim company. Neither worked. Nicole had my daughter going under water on the first day! My daughter learned SO much, so fast! Nicole taught my daughter how to be independent and confident in the pool. In addition, my daughter loved her. She looked forward to her weekly lesson. I would highly recommend Pacific Blue Swim Lessons! read more

My son was very shy when it came to swimming without a life vest. We wanted to give him confidence and water safety. Nicole was so patient with my son, after just a few lessons his confidence in the water was more than we could have expected. He is a good swimmer, found a new love for diving for toys at the bottom of the pool, and knows how to safely behave in the pool. We tried group lessons prior to seeing a recommendation to Pacific Blue, and it just wasn't a good fit for my son. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Nicole with Pacific Blue. read more

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Miss Nicole! Her priority is safety first followed by tons of fun. She keeps the kids engaged throughout the lessons and will send you home with homework of skills to practice. Our kids could not swim prior to lessons and after months of hard work they started practicing dives! My youngest had just turned two when he started lessons and was terrified of the water. After working with Nicole, he was no longer scared and ready for practice each week. We've honestly recommended Pacific Blue to all our friends. read more

I can't say enough about Nicole and Pacific Blue Swim Lessons. Both my kids were fearful in the water after bad experiences with previous lessons. I'm so grateful that I happened to find Nicole. Her private backyard pool was the perfect setup for us as my son was a little insecure about being a bit older and learning to swim. Nicole is a calm, patient, fun, and knowledgeable teacher. In a relatively short time both my kids were swimming confidently. They now know all the strokes and swimming is one of their favorite activities. I highly recommend Pacific Blue Swim Lessons!! read more

Nicole is absolutely fantastic! We came from a busy swim school where my daughters couldn't focus and weren't learning anything. They were terrified to go under the water and weren't progressing. We decided to find someone new in a private setting and thank goodness we found Pacific Blue Swim and Nicole! After the first lesson our daughters really wanted to go back! Something we hadn't experienced! By lesson two they were going under the water and swimming like we had never seen in the 2 months at the other school. She is patient, understanding, and really connects with her students. Highly, highly recommend! read more

First time writing a review and must to communicate just how spectacular Pacifc Blue Swim is. All the instructors really know how to work with kids and deal with all types of situations. They never show any frustration towards kids, always finding positive comments to keep kids spirits up and wanting to keep trying. My son had taken lessons elsewhere, but really thrived at a smaller more intimate school. You can't go wrong at PBSwim and love having an in-home swim school! read more

Cannot say enough positive things about Pacific Blue Swimming Lessons. The owner/teacher team of Shannon and Nick are wonderful people and instructors. They are patient, kind, and knowledgeable in giving lessons. They know how to push the kids to improve while not overwhelming them. Seriously could not have been a better experience! I had my two kids (aged 1.5 and 3.5 years) split a half-hour lesson with Teacher Nick. My son (the 3.5 year-old) went for about 20 minutes and my daughter went for about 10 minutes. Both improved so much, especially my son. Within 2 months, he went from not being able to swim at all to being able to go almost across their pool by himself. Now that it's summer, they have been swimming in our own pool and have improved even more, but I give all the thanks to Teacher Nick who first got them comfortable in the water and gave them the basics. We will enroll the kids next spring again. Thank you Pacific Blue! P.S. They also have a cute little playroom with a train table and toys plus a bathroom/changing room. Makes for a super comfortable environment and easy to entertain a little one while an older sibling is in the water :) Great set-up! read more

Ms. Nicole is amazing! My 4 year old son had a bad experience at another big swim school and is very traumatized by it. Nick is literally HEAVEN sent! My daughter for the longest time has been afraid with strangers. The first 10 minutes of the lesson she was screaming. Nick was so amazing and calm. Once she calmed down she actually within her first lesson started doing more than what I thought she would do. Nick has a soothing and calming voice that any child will love him. We are currently in line for our next appointment. I can't wait till my daughter goes again. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! I heard of Nick from a friends friend. read more

I'm sure Nicole is an adequate swim teacher for typical children. However, I don't have typical boys. I've adopted two of my grandsons who were exposed to drugs in utero and have many behavioral and physical problems. My older grandson has cerebral palsy, hypotonia, ADHD and impulse control problems. My younger grandson also has ADHD, impulse control issues and coordination problems. I'm doing all that I can to give the boys the best possible childhoods. One of my hopes for these boys is to get them to become swimmers. I've tried Roseville City swim lesson and Sea Otter, but the pools have so many other swimmers and distractions, the boys weren't able to stay focused. Someone who had a special needs child recommended Pacific Blue lessons to me, but they were recommending the previous owners. Nicole had taken over their business and when I spoke to her, she assured me that she, like the previous owners, was experienced with teaching special needs children how to swim. Once we were able to begin lessons with her, I was hopeful that her private pool and lack of distractions would really benefit the boys. I dragged them to lessons almost every Monday evening for well over a year, and while they've made progress, it has been painstakingly slow. I did not sugar-coat anything about the boys and their behavior problems when we began, and Nicole assured me she was ready and willing to deal with these challenges because she was so good at teaching kids with special needs. Well... she's not. She did not handle the poor behavior choices the boys on occasion showed and developed an impatient and grumpy demeanor with both of them. She would often continue talking to the families of swimmers who had lessons right before us into our $75 half hour swim lesson and would end our lessons before a whole half hour of time had been given. Yep, bad on me, because I wasn't happy with these lessons for quite some time, but I continued to drag the boys to her because I knew they weren't going to learn anything at other larger facilities, and I was seeing these tiny increments of progress. The final straw was the aggressive billing tactics she uses each month to collect her payments. I have paid for these swim lesson every month at the beginning of each month. I explained to Nicole several times that I get paid on the last day of the month , and I will pay her after I get paid. Her billing "system" sends an invoice on the 22nd of each month, and then more reminders and threats that she can not hold the lesson spot if bill is not paid. Yesterday morning before 7am, she texted me that I needed to pay immediately or I would lose our lesson spot. I quickly responded and asked if she would email me another invoice and I would pay right then. She responded with another text that she would send me another invoice this one last time, but in the future if I couldn't pay her by the 22nd of the month for the upcoming month's lessons , she couldn't keep "hounding" me to pay her. What?!!! She had just texted me a week ago that she understood when I got paid and that I could pay her after I was paid. I paid her every single month at the same time, very regularly... no need to "hound" me, but umm yea whatever. Apparently quick reminder texts and resending an invoice which I thought were a common business courtesy, were very challenging tasks for her and constituted "hounding" me. So yes, at the end, she seemed very "billing" aggressive so I don't know maybe she is having some kind of financial problems or something? Also she sent several unprofessional texts about the boys and their "violent and inappropriate behaviors" and how their behavior wasn't "controlled" as if I'm not doing everything I can to help them get these behaviors under control. Yes, I'm frequently mortified by the shocking things they sometimes do, and I'm very sorry for any trauma they caused her, but she always could have said , hey, I can't teach your kids, and stopped taking my $ every month. Perhaps this whole billing weirdness at the end was just some ploy to drop the boys from lessons because they ARE very challenging, but it would have been a lot more professional to just say that it wasn't working out and she didn't want to give them lessons anymore. read more
