Fortunately, I like the training and atmosphere too much to let the front desk staff veer me away to a different gym. I highly recommend Extreme.

They said she wasn't old enough. Keep in mind she's 3.5 and I was actively supervising her the entire time. They even have classes for young children - but don't allow them on the floor for birthday is ridiculous. While I sat and watched - the kids were allowed to run through a "obstacle course." The mats were rolling everywhere and the coaches sat and watched. The obstacle course wasn't very safe. The barrels roll and the coaches would just kind of push them back and the next kid would run over it and it would roll again. Such a disappointment! Do not recommend at all.

My experience is strictly based upon their birthday parties…read more This past weekend I had a birthday party for my young boys. We had kids ranging from 4 to 7. They all had a blast. We had the last slot of the day so we were able to add an additional 30 minutes of floor time for an additional fee. We felt it was well worth it. First 45 minutes was open play on one side of the gym. They had a little obstacle course set up that most of them took a turn on. The second 45 minutes, they inflated this giant blowup obstacle course with a slide at the end. It was a huge hit. The two coaches were on the floor supervising the kids the whole time. When that was over, they served the food we brought (pizza and cupcakes) and provided the plates/napkins, etc. Which I thought was really nice. It was a very enjoyable experience and I can't say enough good things about it.

I know that it is reasonably priced and very convenient to those of us who live in Roseville, Rocklin, and Lincoln. The gym can be set up several different ways for basketball. You can run a full court basket-to-basket or even lower 4 hoops (2 on either side of the gym) to run two games side-by-side on smaller courts. It's great to have the flexibility to choose either or. The wood playing surface is in great condition and is so much better on my knees than on some of the concrete indoor gym floors that we have played on. They have good restroom facilities, water fountains, and a great HVAC system for AC on those typically hot summer days in Lincoln and heat on the cold wintery days. I know that there is a church that uses this facility every Sunday and I have seen the court configured for Volleyball as well.

She's just a year and a half so isn't totally doing the obstacle courses set up but she is running around playing on the overly soft facility with a ton for even our littlest ones and coach Hope is always there to help my girl when she wants to give some of the course a go. My son goes to coach Nathan and Sierra for little warriors. These coaches just make my heart so happy! My son is a little on the quit side and omg.... They just make him feel so confident. We leave here with him telling me "mom... did you see me do that flip (or whatever they were doing". I just can't tell you how amazing this class is. Coach Nathan is very knowledge with the skills he is teaching. Plus... you can here the coaches in the classes cheering the kids on and even remembering their names. Safety is always so important here too which is obviously a main point! Needless to say I highly recommend this place! One of the limitations they have is gymnastics. Boys can join gymnastics if they are under four (? Or 5?) years old, but when they get older, they cannot move to a higher level because it is for girls only. Otherwise, they have dance, swimming and Tag. We currently have our daughter enrolled in tag, and most of the teachers are pretty good. It gets a bit tricky when you have other kids in the same class who are disruptive and the teacher doesn't do much to navigate to the class back. If! You are a parent that likes to come early before the class, it might be a bit tricky getting in since the other classes are just getting out. With that, the best area to park is in the back. There's even a back door there you can enter through. If you miss a class or are planning to miss a class, you just have to make sure to notify them via website two hours prior to the class so that you can get a make up for the class for next time, so make sure you grab all of the class schedules located in the check-in desk on the wall because you can choose any make up class to try! Overall, it's a good all in one place to try.

My husband and I were both very disappointed. We were allowed to get there at 1:45 to set up for a 2:00 party and when we got there the woman at the front desk was calling the coach who was supposed to be working it and the coach had forgotten she was working that day. Nothing had been set up yet in the gym so the woman at the front scrambled to get some things set up. She was clearly annoyed with this. The "party room" is just the table to the right of the front desk which is pretty cluttered and dirty. The kids and adults at the party were told many rules they weren't following correctly which was very uncomfortable as the host of the birthday. They asked about getting all the girls of the party into lessons with each other in front of another mom which was also uncomfortable for me because I just wanted the parents to enjoy a nice birthday party without being pressured to sign their children up for something. The coach for the party showed up about 45 minutes late, never came over to introduce herself, and mostly sat around. The website does say the coach will set up games for the kids and things like that. When I walked over to her to introduce myself I asked her if she could do the bubble guns they use at their open gyms because our kids love them and she proceeded to tell me they don't always do them for all parties because if the kids don't like them it's a waste of their bubbles but she was willing to do them for us. They have two bubble guns and when you use both of them (which I've seen other coaches do with ease) it's a much better effect, but she said if I wanted both bubble guns used another parent from the party would need to help her. After the party was over and we cleaned everything up my husband asked her if everything looked ok and if we'd cleaned everything up well enough, and she just responded that she'd just stepped on something sticky. So all in all, we were very displeased with the party on Miyagi's end. We felt the customer service was lacking from all involved and besides having access to the gym...we are not really sure what we paid for.
