I have been taking my two daughters here for the last 18 months. My ex-wife and I share the duties of taking them to tumbling classes and both feel similar that the gym has been going down hill recently. I like that they offer several classes throughout the week so it fits in our schedule, compared to other places where you have a set time and day. One of my daughters does the intermediate A and the other intermediate B, but I feel they both have not learned any new skills in awhile, they are at a standstill. The classes are only an hour long, and when they really start to get a new skill or work one on one with a coach, the class is over. When we first started going here I thought the place was great, they have good coaches that seem to be really talented. However, lately our experience can vary from class to class. Sometimes if the coach is having a good energetic day, they will learn lots, others they will be sent to stations and never make contact again. Also, the classes are huge, with what looks like 20 kids in it. They get very little one on one time, if any at all. My youngest daughter really needs to be pushed sometimes and the coaches just don't do that. I watch her spend a lot of time not even participating and this goes unnoticed by the coaches, because the classes are so big. My oldest daughter has her backhand spring down and wants to learn her tuck but has had little direction. There is also very limited feedback from the coaches, I can go months without talking to one employee, and even the owner is hot and cold. Nice one day, and rude the next. At our previous gyms, the classes were 90 minutes and they did skills testing every 12 weeks. This would give parents a chance to see if their kids were really progressing or not. It also gave opportunity for the coaches to give feedback to parents and tell them what skills the kids need to work on to advance. We have been to Tricks, Fliptastic, Flip to It, and Byers, and they all gave feedback periodically. I have had feedback once in six months. We choose Just Tumble because we like the schedule, have heard the coaches are great, and because our girls do only floor gymnastics but there is no consistency at Just Tumble. I see kids in advance that can hardly do a back handspring, and then advanced kids that take easier classes just because it fits the schedule. It throws the classes off and is frustrating for everyone. I really hope they add more coaches to the huge classes or make the classes longer. It would be nice to have a talking relationship with the coaches so I could voice my opinion but usually they run off to another full class in seconds of my daughter's class ending. I will say they have some amazing talent, but are lacking in customer service and management. I hope things get better soon, I would hate to have to find a new gym. read more
