We are gratefully advising of a wonderful car purchasing experience with Jason! ;-) I knew what I wanted, a Toyota Solara Convertible -- Silver/Gray with a black top, stayed in communication regarding an appointment, and had our test-drive with a no-pressure buying experience! This car engine ran smoothly and was equipped with new tires, ... good touring tires for a comfortable drive. We are pleased with our new old car, reminds me of another Toyota Solara that I drove for many years!! :-) Thanks to Jason, we paid a down payment that day, and drove it right home, then sent him the balance the next day. Jason even included a year's car registration and sent me the Toyota's book a week later! Wow! Thank you again, Jason! read more

Pacific Bay Auto had the exact car that I wanted. The color and the interior checked off all the boxes. I made an appointment with Hao to see it in person. Hao was there to greet me and he was very pleasant and easy to talk to! I test drove the car and was sold. Hao introduced me to Jason to discuss the numbers. Jason made me feel right at home. I didn't experience any pressure or tension that you often encounter at the larger dealerships. I put down a deposit and returned at the end of the week to purchase the car. The entire experience was perfect. I compared prices and the price that I was given was fair. Hao and Jason provided excellent customer service. I highly recommend them if you're in the market to purchase a quality used car. K.W. read more

Julian was great! He sent me the CarFax when I requested it to look into. He was quick to set me up with the vehicle after I made up my mind and the transaction was fairly smooth. I checked out the 2013 Mazda CX-5, the vehicle looked well-maintained and clean inside and out while it's sitting in their dealership. So far I am enjoying driving the SUV going to/from work. read more

I needed a car and looked around at night, found one here. I usually don't go to independent used car dealer but Pacific had a really good review so I called in the morning and talked on the phone. Sounded really chill so I drove here from San Mateo the day after. The car was exactly how it was described. Seemed like they take care of all the small details that were broken but also the person wasn't pressuring at all to me to buy the car. It was basically "here's the car, it's as what was described, just let me know if you have any questions". Everyone was really friendly and this was really the first time I felt comfortable buying a car at a dealer without being pressured. I highly recommend it and in the future, I will definitely be checking in here when I'm going to look for another car for myself and my business. I walked in and bought a car in 15min. That's how much I felt comfortable. Great car buying experience! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Both the transaction and customer services are phenomenal! It was my first time buying a used car and I was so nervous about doing so. It was such a smooth transaction with Jason and the post-transaction service with Julian was amazing. I got my car from Jason who was really nice and honest about my queries. Since I had eyes on multiple selection, I had a lot of questions specially in long term care and possible issues. He was very transparent about the pros and cons of each car, the cost in maintaining them and wether or not it would be cost-efficient and ideal for me as a student and a woman in the long run. He didn't pressure me into buying anything at all, gave me time to think about it. By the time I was settled on the car, it was almost closing but he was more than welcome to wait for us since my brother would be financing the car. He settled all the paper works for us and explained all the fees in detail. All I had to do was sit back and enjoy my car. I got a 2009 Nissan Altima coupe with 138k miles on it. Car looks great, both the interior and the engine seems well kept. I know it has its years and miles on it so I knew what I'm walking into and that it might need a little tune up soon. A week after getting the car one of my tire sensors lit up so I contacted Mr. Jason and he sent me to Jose from Big Discount Pro Tires to get it checked, free of charge. I also felt a slight engine misfire a couple days after the tire sensor and told them about it too. It was 9pm at that time but he was still very responsive to me. Scanner saw ignition coil and got it replaced which was covered by pacific bay auto too. I was going to replace all of the ignition coil and spark plugs soon enough as was also recommended by Jose Around a month after, I felt the tiniest misfire and decided It was time for that tune up so I brought it back. Luckily enough, I met and ran into Julian, the co-owner, as we were scanning the car. He was kind enough to cover the ignition coil changes for me and included the spark plugs too. ALL FREE OF CHARGE. He even picked up my car for me and waited for me waaaay beyond closing hours bc I wouldn't make it back before the autoshop closed. So glad I purchased from them. read more

Julian responded to my initial inquiry quickly, and we met the next day. Both Jason and Julian made me feel comfortable, and let me examine the Mazda Miata I was interested in without disturbing nor rushing me. Negotiations were very friendly and comfortable, and felt very transparent. In addition, a couple small parts on the car didn't work, and they ordered and paid for these parts, and I was able to install them. This was literally the best used-car dealership experience I've ever had, and I'm very happy with the Miata. read more

Jason was the most helpful person I ever met in the car sales business. First day I showed up, I asked for certain requirements, and it wasn't looking good. We ended up leaving without a car, but held on to the car I was looking to purchase for me. Later in the week, I get a call from Jason, telling me that he has an offer with everything I asked for!!! I couldn't believe it, Jason went out of his way to accommodate my wishes! Ended up going back over to the lot and leaving with the car! Jason is so kind and respectful and very accommodating! What an amazing experience! The co-owners Julian and Jason are incredibly patient and transparent about their used vehicles. I came home with a beautiful 2012 Hyundai Sonata :) Bonus: Julian speaks Chinese (a win for me and my dad!) I'll definitely be coming back here and referring them to my friends if they are searching for a reliable, clean, and well-priced used car. LONGER DETAILED STORY: My (very rushed) car search took place within a 3-day period. On Day 1, I was frantically searching on Yelp for well-reviewed used car dealerships and taking note of their inventory that matched what I was looking for (make/model, year, price, mileage-wise). Through Pacific Bay Auto, I saw very positive Yelp reviews and as well as four vehicles (via the inventory) that matched my criteria and called them the next day to make an appointment. Julian answered the phone and remained very cordial as I listed through those four cars and he told me that he'd have them ready for me to test drive by [time of appt]. As a woman navigating the realm of cars, I really appreciate that he didn't exhibit a condescending attitude when I made such a request. When we arrived at the lot on Day 2, he pleasantly guided us from car to car and didn't make us feel pressured or rushed in any way. He let us take our time test driving each car and gave us the Carfax information when we requested it. After a whole day of searching for cars, it was finally time to compare all the cars I've test driven for the day (including cars from other places). Overall, we found that Pacific Bay Auto's 2012 Hyundai Sonata was the best choice! We called them again (this time Jason picked up) to inform them of our decision and to make an appointment to finalize said decision the next day. On Day 3, we went back to the car lot to look at any details we may have missed and we decided that this was the car for me. There were a few minor issues (lightbulb needed replacing, tire alignment, etc) and Jason reassured us that he would take care of everything and bring it to the mechanic ASAP - and by ASAP, I mean that he brought it in right after we left and called us a few hours later to tell us the car was ready for pickup. Jason guided my dad through the paperwork and was very cooperative and transparent in explaining what my dad was signing for each form. By that evening, I was handed an envelope of forms (a copy of everything my dad signed) and the keys. He also referred us to a locksmith in case we needed a duplicate key or wanted a different remote. I'm absolutely ecstatic about my new car and will take great care of it. But when the time comes for me to find a new car 10-15 years from now, I'll be sure to give Julian and Jason another call. read more

I am pleased to share that if I can give Pacific Bay auto more than five stars I would. So I give them 10! My journey for my first ever used car from a dealership started about nine months ago. I was in the market for a reliable vehicle and stumbled upon a 2009 Volvo S80 T6. After doing research on this vehicle I decided to reach out to Pacific Bay auto's. The customer service is beyond impeccable and the gentleman I dealt with by the name of Jason was more than helpful and patient but was also honest. I have two kids aged six and 1 1/2, at that time my baby boy was only a few months old. After great communication with Jason I decided to make my way to Fremont coming all the way from Richmond. I had no choice but to take public transportation out that way since I was not mobile. On the way over I hired a "private mechanic" to do a pre-inspection. I spent over $100 just for the so-called private mechanic to tell me that it would be an expensive choice to purchase the vehicle if there were issues because he was unable to tell if the check engine light or the battery was tampered with. For the record I would not do this again because now I have a bit of knowledge on cars and what to look for. Also if I knew this "mechanic" would give me an "it's up to you" answer I would've declined his services. But after conversating with Jason halfway through waiting at MacArthur BART to head to Fremont with my children and car seat, he reassured me that the vehicles they sell have been thoroughly inspected and would not be able to sell these cars unless they pass smog. I finally arrive at the dealership and Jason allowed me to take the car for a test drive without any pressure. And just to be clear in my mind I was unsure if I was going to be approved to even purchase this vehicle due to my credit, Jason once again was confident in assuring me that I would be able to purchase if I chose to buy this vehicle. Which made me feel comfortable with my choice, as I took the car for a test drive there was no rush and he allowed me to take my two kids with me, after about 10 to 15 minutes of driving I was sure this was a car for me. The process was fairly simple and easy, and Jason along with his colleague made me feel comfortable with the daunting task of dealing with a used dealership on my own. To you Jason I thank you for the kindness you have shown me because in this world that we live in where there are so many crooks and faulty business practices, you are a Gem. Not only are you the epitome of a Great Dealership, but also A Great man! I appreciate your honesty and your patience and I truly believe that more folks could learn from your character. I am proud to say that I bought my first vehicle from Pacific bay autos. After about 9 months I've finally had the time to see how well the car is, Given it was a 2009 I was already prepared for certain repairs to be made. Just 3 months short of a year I've only had to replace motor mounts which I've done myself along with oil changes that I do almost every other month just for peace of mind. Do Not Hesitate to reach out to the folks at Pacific Bay Auto, Jason and his colleague will do their best to assist you! There is so much more I can add but I'd have to write a 4-5 page about my experience. So blessed to have met people like Jason and his colleague!!! Btw I'm planning on getting another vehicle there sooner than later. Will post another review soon Melvin read more

Just wanted to let people know how pleased we've been with the Toyota RAV4 Limited we purchased from Pacific Bay Auto in August 2021. After a few minor wear & tear repairs (that they advised us would improve the vehicle, but weren't safety issues), the SUV has been a reliable vehicle for travel all over California in great and really nasty weather! We were able to track down all of the service history on the RAV4 back to the original date of sale (only one previous owner), so there's no mystery about service and maintenance. So, after going around Fremont looking for a pre-owned vehicle for my son, I've encountered countless used-car dealerships which conducts an operation with one goal, what do you want? here and get out. It wasn't til we came across Julian at Pacific Bay Auto, when we told him that we are looking for a first car for my son, what our budget is, what kind of driving he would be doing. He listened to us with authenticity, showed us three choices and boy did we fell in love with the Jetta he has. One thing we found out about the cars on this lot, they are 1: Reasonable priced 2: You get more than what you pay because Julian will price the cars lower than the market 3: True, authentic service. Come here for your transportation needs, you won't regret it. read more

Found Pacific Bay Auto almost immediately after a rough experience getting a previous vehicle fell through - I can't tell you how much peace I felt about working with these dealers. I was looking at a Subaru Outback that they had. Julien immediately made me aware of all the maintenance they had just completed after acquiring the vehicle, and Jason walked me through the process with kindness, honesty and a wealth of knowledge. Each of them are also very responsive and happy to answer whatever questions I had. These gentlemen are legit, and my experience with them has been nothing but positive. A breath of fresh air in the arduous process of buying a new car. I'm stoked for the Outback I'm buying from them, and would recommend them to anyone looking for a pre-owned vehicle. Bought a 2005 honda civic from here after seeing it on facebook marketplace. I just wanted a simple 4 cylinder honda to get to work and home without any issues. this car looked perfect. I test drove the car and it WAS perfect. The car was clean inside and out.i even bought the carfax online. I thought I was making a smart purchace. I bought it $4700 total . The following weekend I got an oil change. Where my mechanic pointed out the the engine is leaking oil from the "cam cap". I was dissapointed but I got it fixed for like $125. 3 weeks after I bought the car, the check engine comes on. I was so dissapointed. Code 1456. Heres Google says about that code This isn't the only reason though, the code or DTC P1456 is caused by a leak on the tank side of the evaporative system, and the most common cause is a loose or missing gas cap, but it could also mean a leak in the fuel tank, or one of the tubes or hoses. The gas cap on this car is new which proves to me that the dealer knew there is an issue. It's kind of embarrassing that I bought a $5000 bucket. read more

Pacific Bay Auto - His first car, great buying experience. - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Fremont, California

I would like to thank Jason for the help in buying the 2016 mazda3. I live 5hrs from Fremont. I was looking for a mazda3 for my daughter. Since this was not my first time buying a used car I knew that used cars are cheaper in the bay area. The same car I bought from Jason would of been about 3000 to 5000 more were I live. I called Jason set a price for the car before I arrived. Set up a independent mechanic in Fremont to do a used car inspection and there was no problem Jason even took the car to the mechanic the day before I was arriving. Everything checked out the only thing the mechanic said is the tranny fluid needed to be changed and Jason split the cost with me. ( PLEASE no matter were you buy a used car from have the car INSPECTED by a independent mechanic of you choice worth the 100 or so bucks) I already had my financing set up with my bank called Jason a couple days before my arrival to give him all the info. So the day I arrived I knew what I was paying OTD. So get to Fremont test drive the vehicle signed some paper work was back on the road in less than a hour. NO sales pressure NO trying to up sell you on warranty NO sitting you in a office for hrs trying to getting to buy with each guy coming in the office with different numbers. A tag team of 5 different sales guys you know with the sales man the sales manager the dealer mechanic the guy who washes the cars at the dealerships or even the guy who cleans the toilets at the dealership wearing a tie. Here is how my negotiation with Jason went. I called him asked him "what is the lowest price on the car?" Jason "what do you want to pay?" Me "its not my car whats the lowest price?" That is it. All I can say I bought the car it was that good of a deal. 1 more thing. For people who Bi!@#h about buying a used car and something happens mechanical with it ITS A USED CAR. Even if the mechanic says its good to go. Doesnt mean 1 month later you blow a head gasket. Why do you think Honda And Toyota sell at a premium on the used market compared to Ford and Chevy. I bought a 2016 Mazda3 with 120000 miles on it. It was a prior rental from hertz. But I did my homework. Not only car fax but researched the VIN. I knew the car was a rental in San fran. Not the east coast were it was driven in the snow with all the salt on the roads. That rental co. do the scheduled maintenance on there vehicles. Is it a guarantee that next month my tranny goes out NO. And would I bad mouth the place were I bought the vehicle from NO. For what I paid for this car if I get 2 years out of it with no major problems I am ahead. OR you can go buy a bran new one like I did 2018 tundra with a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty and pay 50k. read more

They answered all my questions and were so patient and supportive throughout the process. They delivered the car to my house, brought all the paperwork, and it was, indeed, just as good and clean as it looked online. I am thrilled with our new Ford Transit Connect. It's our dream car. I deffinitely recommend checking out Pacific Bay Auto if you're looking for a great deal on a used car. This was my first time ever buying a used car and I was honestly really impressed with how I was treated at this shop. Hao assisted me in purchasing a 2008 Audi A5 and this experience was better than any other experience I've had in comparison to buying brand new cars at dealerships. First of all, Hao was very responsive and quick to communicate with me throughout the whole process. I never felt pressured at any time with him like I usually do at some car dealerships and he even stayed with me when I brought the car to get inspected by my mechanic. He also let me take the car out for a couple of test drives to make sure I was comfortable with it before buying. He was extremely helpful and friendly and recommended me places to buy cheap parts along with a mechanic if any issues come up. Even though I took my time with my decision to purchase the car (3 weeks) he remained patient with me the entire time. Hao went above and beyond to assist me with any questions I had. Jason, the store manager was also very friendly and professional and had organized all the registration papers for me when I was ready to buy the car. Took me less than 20 minutes when it was all said and done! I deffinitely recommend Hao to assist you if you're ever looking to buy or even look at used cars here. I am lucky to find this store and find Julian to help me out, and get me out of trouble. I just move to California few weeks ago having no friend around. As the other girls do, I know nothing about cars. Thinking that buying a car is a huge investment for me, I have to find someone help me to find a car that is problemless. After I find my dream car on craigslist, I send it to Julian and ask for his advice. He did a lot of research for me without asking price. He was so nice that even though I am not buying a car from them. Well, I think I have to pay something for him as a reward. So I ask him to have the car check for me and pay him for the service. On that they, he did the car check for me very carefully. I was surprised by him lying down on the ground to see the button of the car. He spent the whole afternoon with me from checking the car through I have completely signed off all the documents. Well, after that we become friend and every time I got into troubles, Julian was there to teach me how to deal with it. Because he is the only friend I have here. I was so grateful that he always being helpful and teach me growth. I was so happy that I have got my dream car, what's more, I have made a good friend. I would highly recommend my friend to shop at this store. And Of course, I will definitely come back if my car has any problem. Julian, keep on the good work!
