Boy .. I really wanted to help local businesses but I don't see myself coming back. When you're followed by staff and it becomes obvious that you are it really makes you feel uncomfortable and then you don't really focus on your shopping. I brought a bag in to carry a very pricey car stereo head unit not wanting to drop it. I needed simple sheet metal screws for my install. I was approached twice by an elderly woman who suggested that I leave my bag upfront as I explained this is a very pricey car stereo I'd prefer not to, one drop and it's toast or banging it up against a counter or something. Bought a toilet from the Granite City Pace. There was a leak between the tank and the bowl. When I went to return within 5days, was told they would not accept it because the wax ring had been used. Well, yeah... how else would I know there's a leak?!? I offered to buy a ring and still they refused. I left the toilette there because what the heck am I going to do with a new leaking toilet? Wishing I hadn't because they will replace the ring and sell it to the next unsuspecting customer. Shame on you Pace, I wont be back and considering this is the nearest hardware store, they lost a good customer. I wont spend a penny there again! read more

used wrong blank making key and when I tried to get it remade they used exact same blank. tried to say master lock only uses one key blank which is BS. read more
