I've been to three of the Hot Topics in Buffalo, usually during Xmas-present-buying season. All are located inside the big shopping malls in town, and all are very similar. They have indifferent service, but sometimes friendly. They have all kind of wild products for goth looks, porn looks, rebel looks, punk looks, you name it. They actually have a lot of really fantastic stuff in store. They also have hot employees and extremely attractive customers. This particular location is inside the Galleria, and is a little hard to get to because it's such a big mall. But once you get there, you will find everything for your neon-red-hair and temp-tat and offensive-t-shirt needs. There's a lot of very fashionable stuff in here too, and it's a very underrated store. If it had Acne Meds, then it'd be Spot Topic, but it's not. Actually is Spot Coffee for people with Acne?

It would be easy to find work clothes, or something casual for a day out, if you wanted! Overall: B A decent outlet store - check the far back for deeper clearance discounts.

Anecdotally, there are a lot of clearance items that are really strange, worth a look for super unusual who-would-wear-this items! You'll always find basic jeans, sweatshirts, joggers and t-shirts and reasonably priced seasonal wear. Plus, trendy overalls and the new "Covid sizing" roomier bottoms post pandemic. Careful about looking frumpy in some of these trends. And size down, seems to be a bit of vanity sizing going on. Our favorite associate at check-out is a Navy veteran with a big personality that makes the cue wait worth it, really helpful, nice guy. (Of course, weekdays have shorter lines!)

I ended up at this location because the Amherst store didn't have a lot of options in tall jeans. The associate called Niagara Falls and they put several pairs of jeans on hold for me. I drove over there right away (they close at 8pm on weeknights -- it's about a 15 minute drive or so) I have to say, I had a *completely* different customer service experience at this store, versus the Amherst store. There were two associates working, one of which was busy trying on different clothes in the dressing room while working. Hmmm. The other one (I shopped around 7pm on 1/31/17: female, 20's, black hair, multiple facial piercings, heavy set) never mustered a smile or even attempted anything bordering "friendly" or "welcoming." She retrieved my on-hold merchandise and put in the dressing room for me. When I was ready to check out, she was all business, but, again, not anything near what I would call "friendly." She did the bare minimum, checked me out, and off I went. No smile. No farewell. This location is much bigger than the Amherst location. They had a WAY larger selection of clearance merchandise as well. It's modern, well-kept (but it's also a very new store so I'd be shocked if it wasn't.) My one complaint: the music was LOUD. I don't mind fun music in the store to get you in the mood to do some shopping... but this was so loud I couldn't hear the associate when she asked me what name my hold was kept under.

Brooks Brothers Outlet - they make things just for it…read more Years ago I learned Brooks Brothers makes things specifically to sell at their outlet stores. So the things you see there are often not the ones you might see in the Brooks Brothers store in NYC. That's ok, its still well made and the like, but its a little misleading having the "retail price" on the ticket when you were not selling it at retail. I like this location better than the other two I frequent, but its very hit or miss for us. When its hit, its great, we find many things that work. When its a miss, its a total zero for us. But that's ok, we don't come to the mall just for this store. Although its always our first stop once here because its well located by the parking lot and they have an entrance from the parking lot. Its my favorite location because its the largest, best laid out, has super helpful staff and is overall always pleasant.
