Not being a smoker myself I thought I could deal with it, as they had nothing else available that was clean (the lot had about 10 cars parked there). Mind you, I had waited several days to get a car because they "had none available". I called them the next morning to see if I could swap cars since the odor was horrid- it made me nauseated. I honestly don't think they tried to clean the car from the person who smoked in it. I needed a car so I took it. I was told I had to call in the late afternoon and then come back in the evening since they had no cars available. I did that and when I showed up they let me know that unless I wanted a dirty car, they had none available. This time the lot had 15+ cars there. Apparently none were cleaned? I didn't care as long as it didn't reek of an ashtray. I was able to get another car, which was fine but I wondered why so many cars were sitting there without being cleaned. Maybe lack of employees? I didn't see a hiring sign. Also, if a car stinks so bad, why not take it out of commission, or make sure you rent it to a smoker? That was the most gag-worthy experience.

I have used this location twice…read more Both times I have made a reservation, showed up at my reservation time, and both time I have had to wait to get a vehicle because they do not have one at this location to give to me. Why make a reservation?! I know there's a bad Seinfeld joke in there but this location has no idea what they are doing. You are better off renting from another location if you don't want to wait over an hour for a car you reserved.

No signage that they were closed or directions on where else to check in. Finally started asking the other counters where to go and then directed to check in at hertz (they own dollar and thrifty). Now currently still waiting in line with 40+ people ahead of us at the hertz counter...1.5 hours later (got here at 6pm and it's now 737pm). The lines all the way down the corridor behind us. Guys. Lesson learned. Don't be cheap. Just pick Alamo or National car rental. Their lines are quick and fast for the extra few dollars a day. Would give 0 stars but it's not an option.

Despite the chaos, Alex Dolensky and Dylan Davis kept everything moving smoothly, while remaining patient and courteous. They both juggled phone calls, attended to car rentals, and welcomed each person who walked in. One of the incoming phone calls was a customer who wanted to know how to remove the keys from the ignition. Alex also calmly explained to several renters how the insurance would work in each of their cases. I rented a car for about a month while my car was in the shop, my first encounter was not very…read morefriendly. I don't remember the lady's name but she had such a monotone voice and was unwilling to be helpful or go above the bare minimum. She was helpful but only because I knew what/when I needed. Something I thought was stupid was that I could not use my father's card (I'm 23, in college and still under his insurance) so we had to use mine (will get back to that detail). Over the span of the month that I had the car I put a few hundred miles and the car was great, their fleet has pretty good choices. The Platinum Explorer is a fantastic option for anybody wondering. They were super helpful and accommodating every time I needed an extension because we did not know exactly when my car would be ready since we had to wait for parts and service and install etc.. the man who was there every time we extended was very helpful but just like the lady, very monotone. When returning the car, the lady was back and she seemed to have a better attitude which I appreciated because no paying customer wants to be treated like a nuisance. Especially when the total came out to $1,000. She even got me a ride to Griffith Ford to pick up my car. Though, something that made me mad was I never got my $200 security deposit back. Never got any update that there was anything wrong with the vehicle when I returned it, would have liked that money back in my pocket. Coming back to using my card, when charging me.. it seemed they had double charged it. With the total coming out to damn near $2,000 meaning they not only double charged me the rental but also the security deposit. I had no care in the world to reach back out to Hertz because they were already a headache enough, so I disputed the extra $1,000 with my bank. Overall, would not recommend.

Going to pick up the second rental we were meet with a different worker who refused to give us her name. When asking for the prior manager in training Dylan, she told us "I don't know who that is he probably Dosent work here any more or at all" when I had just spoke with him 2 days prior and asked if he was going to be there the day of. When leaving after being given the rudest, gum-smacking, "not my job not my problem" attitude from this employee we asked a gentleman cleaning the vehicles out front of the establishment her name and he informed me it was Jessica. When asking him about Dylan he said he still worked there but was unsure of his schedule. Heed my advice: DO NOT DEAL WITH JESSICA UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE AN INCONVENIENCE TO HER AND HER LIVELYHOOD!
