Magnificent old theater lit up at night, gorgeous. The Pabst sign was eye catching. Unfortunately the building appears to be closed. I understand Pabst "this Grande Lady" is a theater & concert venue and landmark from 1895. The theater hosts about 100 events per year. The Pabst is known for its opulence as well as its role in German-American culture in Milwaukee . It's the fourth-oldest continuously operating theater in the country hosting notables as pianist Sergei Rachmaninoff, actor Laurence Olivier, and ballerina Anna Pavlova, as well as various current big-name musical acts.

My favorite theater in all of Milwaukee. I have been here for countless concerts, plays, and comedy shows. The design is beautiful, especially the giant chandelier in the center of the high ceiling. 10/10 recommend if you get a chance to see a show here! Properly staffed with ushers, ticket scanners, and bartenders for a smooth entrance, guide to your seat, and chance to grab a drink pre show.

Came for a comedy show, Trey Kennedy. There really isn't a bad seat in the house! We sat up in the nose bleeds but it was great! Seats are snug but that's what a historic building has. I got a mixed drink with was as expected, good. The bathrooms are in the lower level so be ready to take stairs up and down- but there is an elevator to use on all floors as well. Staff were always quick to show us our seats and to know which way to go. I'll be back.

We saw A Christmas Carol at Pabst Theater last night and it was great! Beautiful costumes and amazing actors. It was quite a performance! I've also been to Pabst to see Goo Goo Dolls in concert, which was also amazing! I like the size of the theater (although I wish there were more than two restrooms available for women) and I love the history and decor. With that said, the seats are small and there is not much legroom. Sit by someone you know on both sides because you'll be cozy with them for the next couple of hours. Tip: make sure to grab dinner before or after elsewhere; Pabst only offers cookies, candy, and popcorn along with various drinks.

The Pabst Theatre is such a lovely and beautiful venue in downtown Milwaukee. For the past ten years we have been going to the Christmas Carol, it's now a yearly family tradition. Each year the production is changed up a little bit to keep it exciting and fresh. Many of the cast members are the same year after year and they are wonderful performers. Milwaukee is lucky to have the group of theatre's and lively theatre in our city. We enjoy each year and support theatre and live music. Enjoy

The Pabst theater is located in downtown Milwaukee. There are plenty of parking garages that are around at an affordable price. It is a smaller theater which makes it great for a concert. Getting in was quick and they had plenty of employees helping you tp find your seat. I purchased seats in the lower balcony and they were comfortable and there were no obstructions. The acoustics in the theater are amazing, so hearing the performer you could really hear them. They are handicapped accessible for those that may need an elevator. The bathroom is located in the basement with plenty of stalls. They have bars on all levels I visited the lines move quickly. It's a perfect size for a big enough yet still feels intimate theater.

Visited Pabst theater for the first time last night to watch the Spiderman Symphony show! Upon entrance, the theater was pretty small, but had multiple levels for seats. The staff were friendly and the theater was clean. Popcorn ran around $6.50 and they also had cans of beer for $8-$9 each. I was super excited to watch the symphony perform and had high expectations. The symphony absolutely crushed it and blew me away! I had watched the 2023 spiderman movie in theaters, but having a live orchestra was a completely different experience. There was even a DJ on stage who absolutely crushed it. Overall, was a good experience, would recommend.

We love visiting for A Christmas Carol every year! It's the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. The decor is gorgeous and the shows are so fun!

Great old venue with a lot of charm and personality. Love the location, near so many bars and restaurants for pet and or post celebrations. Parking available right below the theater is nice too. The Pabst is prefect for a concert or show. Great acoustics and sight lines, along with relatively comfortable seating. (Especially happy that seats are not too tiny and have good leg room... I'm 6'4"!) Bathroom situation could be better... like all old theaters, not convenient and expect lines. So glad this place is still cranking out entertainment. Good job Milwaukee!

Great pint sized venue to see your favorite artists, not a bad seat in the house, has a capacity of approximately 1300 people. 3 levels, plenty of bars to choose from, friendly service, an elevator exists if you struggle with stairs. The only thing about this venue that seemed off was that the men's room line was way longer than the ladies room line. I have never seen that before, it was a first, not sure why; and it did not matter which bathroom you tried, it was the same at all of them. Parking nearby is a non-issue, easy to get in and out of town, one of the great things about Milwaukee.

I hadn't been to the Pabst in decades until a recent show with my mom. The theater is still as stunning as ever. There is a convenient concession area to get drinks right upon entry. Entry was pretty fast with a quick purse check and a walk through a metal detector. No COVID screening was being done. The old school seats are not extremely comfortable, but I've sat in worse. The ushers are extremely helpful. Acoustics were good. There was a long wait trying to leave the theater which grew irritating.

Blue Man is meant to be big on facial nuances, which are easily lost to those in the second sections. While the show was generally entertaining for all ages, it felt more like STOMP, with lots of drumming and fewer small humorous stories. The drummer was great, but I was left waiting for more physical entertainment by the Blue Men. I was disappointed, however I did hear that many in the audience are rabid fans and attend this show often. Maybe my feelings are colored by having attended BMG in a more intimate setting in Chicago, which really made the stage work pop. The theater is beautiful for larger productions, but maybe BMG can come back in a smaller stage and recapture that magic of nuances.

Parking near the theater is plentiful with street parking and a parking garage right across the street. A word of warning--when we parked in the parking garage, there was the show we were there for and a Bucks game that evening as well which resulted in $30 parking fee. That said, it was money well spent to be able to park inside and right across the street during a snowstorm. Once we got to the theater, there was no waiting at will-call and we were able to get our tickets in a snap. The line to get in also moved quickly and there ushers waiting to direct us to our seats. All the workers made the experience easy and were friendly to boot. Our seats were on the left side in row L and no complaints about the view from there at all. Due to the storm (and possibly the economy) the theater was only about a third full so we had plenty of room to spread out. The stage is large and the sound was great throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to see another show here. Get to it!

We were there on a Saturday night to see the premiere of Come From Away. The theater and all the amenities are terrific. The entire space feels much more open and free flowing. The actual theater now has more seating, and the seats have armrests, which for me is a big plus. The stage is also larger, with more vertical space, which really enhances the overall experience. We arrived just in time for the show, and since there was no intermission, there was not much opportunity to explore the public spaces while they were fully in use. I like that you don't feel like you are on top of each other. Last night's experience was a bit unique in that the weather delayed our performance start time. Staff were professional and kept everyone in the theater for safety. Once the tornado warning was lifted, we were able to congregate by the bar area until they were ready to start. I purchased a rishi tea for $4.50 while we waited. I could not get the hot water out of the carafe, staff assisted and realized the internal pump was isn't the carafe. Plenty of bathrooms for during intermission. While it can take a while to get out if the attached parking garage after the show, it is a good option for parking. I purchased parking ahead of time for $12 and just scanned a QR code in/out. Easy. My only complaint is that I wish the Milwaukee rep would have posted the weather delay online as I kept checking their social media pages to see if the show was still going to happen.

We prefer the more intimate setting of the smaller theaters in town. However, if you want to see a Broadway-caliber show, then Marcus is the place to go. We got tickets for Hamilton. The show itself was amazing. Most of the people I met there had been to at least one other performance. Many of them knew the dialogue and lyrics and could easily follow along. For someone without those benefits, we struggled to understand. Some of this was due to the performers' voices, how well they were mic'd, the mixing at the soundboard, and the acoustics in the space. It's hard to get consistent, high-quality sound in a large theater. We were in the L5 balcony seating, and that is definitely not as good as being on the main floor, center (no surprise there). Also, they recently updated the main orchestra seating with additional aisles so that you don't have to literally climb over 50 people to get to your seat. That is not the case in the balcony sections. There are only two ways to get to your seat: far right or far left. We were in the very middle, so neither point gave any advantage. The attached parking structure is convenient, but have you ever been in one that is more bumpy? Did they actually design it with speed bumps every 20 feet? Glad we went to the show.

Date of visit: Saturday, February 10…read more This experience was a gift from a friend that had always wanted to do a murder mystery dinner/party. I too, have always been interested in this concept though the results were a mixed bag. Check in was a bit of a cluster as there were two tables next to each other, but no signs and that resulted in people shuffling back and forth because there was nothing to guide us. Once we got in the right line, we were asked to come up with a name for ourselves for the evening. Wish we had known this in advance so we could have been more creative. We then were checked in and given tickets for our food choices. There was a color-coding system that almost everyone forgot as soon as they found their table and wish they would have just labeled the damn things, "pork," or "chicken." Speaking of pork, the food overall was just okay. My apple pork was pretty good but I didn't care for the green beans. The salad was pretty good, as were the rolls. The cheesecake dessert was pretty pedestrian, likely Sara Lee or the like. After you were seated, the "host," Sue came in to lay the ground rules. I think much of my dissatisfaction stemmed from her and the two police office actors who were just a bit over the top for my tastes. Sue did not have the qualities of a good host, in my opinion. She was efficient and knew her stuff, but wasn't charming or gracious. I found her a bit grating, unfortunately. I am sure she's a lovely person she just didn't set the scene for me. I also didn't like the "interactive" portions of the event where we were encouraged to mingle with the other participants to see who was "suspicious." For those more introverted folks, this was not great. Given all that, kudos to the rest of the acting staff for injecting some fun and mystery to this event!
