We recently visited this food truck for a client appreciation event in Plymouth. The food was really good. I wasn't expecting too much because there are so many taco trucks out there but these are legit. The service was friendly and quick. The food was authentic corn tacos as well as flour tortillas with amazing meats. We tried all the options chorizo, Al pastor (my fav), pollo and asada. All were flavorful and juicy. The hot sauces were flavorful and while I was told the green was mild, it definitely had a good kick. We also tried the super quesadilla for the kids to share but we ended up eating half, really delicious with a side of sour cream to dip. Overall, delicious food and will seek them out when they're out our way. Keep on serving amazing food! read more

I really like Pablo's. The meats are tasty. There is good variety and they are super friendly. Prices are fair and the salsas are delish. My fave meat is the al pastor of course but the chicken and asada are quite good. I try to keep switching around what I order and so far everything has been happy. My fave thing to order is the tacos but the burritos are huge if you are super hungry and the super quesadilla is the best if you are a cheese person. You can find Pablo's parked quite frequently at Plymouth Park and Eats on Eccles and Schoolcraft but I also have had them visit my neighborhood and that was super fun. The tacos here are amazing. I'm always gleefully happy when I don't bring a lunch and this taco truck stops by my campus. What I would suggest however, is a combo option. I usually get 2 or 3 chicken tacos, my favorite style, onions, cilantro, and chicken. Beautiful. The flavor is spot on and even the tortilla they're wrapped in are crispy enough while still being soft. 3 tacos though, will cost you 7.50. No drink, rice, or chips come with that. You do get a lime though which is a nice touch. For that much money I would like a drink or something. However, this is leaps and bounds better than Alley taco and Taco Bell. Edit: just because I don't write the updated information of establishments I continue to frequent does not mean i am unaware of the unnecessary details that don't necessitate further and superfluous explanations. I am well aware of sw families in suburbs, a few of whom I am acquainted with. Mansplaining, everywhere. I wanted to get something quick but not terribly unhealthy when I was in an unfamiliar area so I stopped at the truck on Telegraph in Brownstown. I ordered 2 tacos de al pastor and an horchata. Side note- I'm indigenous Mexican American born in Texas, raised in southwest Detroit (Mexicantown & Mexican Village area) and my parents owned a Mexican restaurant for 20 years in the 80s and 90s (burned down in 2001, where the Gordie Howe bridge is being built now at Fort & Dragoon). I grew up before Detroit had as many taquerias as they do now but Lupita's & Los Altos were staples (Mi Pueblo came later & is just decent). That said, this was the most horrid Mexican food I've had in a very long time. The al pastor has a lot of extra sauce; it almost tasted as if they were hiding something. It was not normal or tasty. The tortillas were not cooked to a brown tint at all- they looked barely heated or heated in the microwave. But the most egregious was the horchata. I've never had a more watered down drink in my life. I did not drink it at all. Another thing that I did not respect about this business was that there was a customer parked directly in front of the truck for the entire duration I was there ordering and waiting for my food. It was dangerous as well, since the SUV was parked precariously close to the driveway into the gas station but in a spot that someone would not see them until they were already turned into the driveway. I mentioned it to the proprietor but he said, verbatim, "I can't do anything about it." I told him yes, he could. But he didn't. And the entitled man in the Jesus or God vanity plate was free to endanger other people in their selfish endeavors, empowered by this absolutely dreadful taco truck with no sense of leadership or accountability. Please take the time to go to Detroit or even the Taco Stand in Taylor. They are authentic and even cheaper; the regular Taco rate is 1.50-1.75. Suburban inferior Mexican food establishments frequently inflates their prices. Never ever ever again. And as a veteran I could eat anything. Except this. read more
