The restaurant is bright, colorful, and full of beautiful murals. It really gives off a modern Spanish restaurant vibe. For appetizers, we tried the mixed empanadas made with cornmeal--they came with cheese, spicy, or plain options and a side of cilantro sauce. Absolutely delicious. We also had the chimi flatbread, which was packed with flavor, and the steak was tender and yummy. For entrees, I went with the steak arepas and a side of tostones, while my father-in-law and husband shared the bandeja paisa. My arepa was fantastic--I finished the whole thing! The tostones were authentic, perfectly crispy, and we shared them. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Even though the portions were generous, we ended up finishing everything. Bonus points for the jumbo margaritas--they were just as good as they sound. The staff was friendly, helpful, and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We'll definitely be coming back, next time bringing the little ones!

The plantains are drop dead delicious. The Cubans are textbook and everyone in our group went crazy on the tamales. I know better. I held out for the Ropa Vieja. They tell me it's one of the national dishes of Cuba. Pulled stewed beef with various Cuban spices. It's served with Moro rice, which is basically white rice and black beans. They add a salad mix and it's a marvel. This is some of the better food truck fare we've had here in Ohio. We just can't get ahold of a schedule and it's been months now. Hoping and praying they still exist! 10/24

For me the Cuban sandwich is the star here with perfectly cooked braised pork and good quality ham. They actually use Cuban bread here for the sandwich which you don't see much of in Columbus. It's about as traditional as you can get. I've also tried the Ropa Vieja, which is another famous Cuban dish, and it was super tasty as well. It's beautifully seasoned shredded beef on top of Moro rice with a salad mix. You can't go wrong with this one. They also offer empanadas, tostones, and tamales among other things that are all made perfectly. If you see this truck around, or find it on StreetFoodFinder, you should definitely make it a point to stop in and give it a try.

The staff made us feel right at home and were very attentive. Our server, Sammy was very sweet and fun! My favorite touch was their pre-printed birthday menus. They definitely know how to make someone feel special. We ordered a bottle for the table to pair with our tapas. We tried the churassco, wine braised chorizo, and ordered a paella de marisco. The tapas portions are enough to have as a meal or 2 to be really stuffed. The paella portions are huge and are enough to serve about 2-3 people. I was pleasantly surprised how good the paella turned out since moving from Miami I have been very skeptical of any Latin or seafood in Columbus (sorry...) but the flavors were delicious!! They also gave us a free dessert for my boyfriend's birthday and it was also sooo delicious. I would definitely return, especially after finding out about their happy hour. It's a great little spot for a date or a celebration of any kind but make sure to let them know ahead of time so they can make your night special.

YE Gurl Says: A Lucky Find During Barcelona's Independent Restaurant Week…read more Place:Barcelona (Independent Restaurant Week Find) Date: March 2026 Sometimes the best meals are the ones you didn't plan. A casual drop-in while exploring Barcelona turned into a full experience thanks to Independent Restaurant Weeks--and not just a few days... weeks. Now that's how you support your local restaurant scene. We happened upon a spot participating in the $45 prix-fixe menu, and without hesitation, we were in. Since we lean pescatarian/vegetarian, we navigated the menu accordingly--and honestly, the options held their own. First Course Options Included: * Gazpacho (chilled tomato, cucumber, olive oil) * Ensalada César with aged manchego and guajillo crouton * Sopa de Ajo (garlic soup with jamón, egg, saffron) Second Course Highlights: * Paella de Barcelona (classic mix with seafood and meats) * Paella Roja (beetroot sofrito, beans, cauliflower, fenugreek yogurt) * Salmon with leeks, olive tapenade, asparagus, mushrooms, crème fraîche * Chuleta (pork chop with a full composed plate) Dessert Options: * Tres Leches de Fresa (strawberry three milks cake) * Johnson's seasonal sorbet or ice cream * Plato de Quesos with figs, lavender honey, and rosemary crostini We opted for the pescatarian and veggie-friendly selections, and the standout for me was the Paella Roja--a creative, earthy twist that didn't feel like a compromise. Balanced, flavorful, and thoughtful. The structure of the meal was clean, no substitutions (respect), and paced in a way that let you actually enjoy each course without feeling rushed. YE Gurl says: Stumbling into Restaurant Week while traveling is a win every time--but Barcelona doing it for multiple weeks? Even better. It's a reminder that some of the best culinary experiences happen when you stay open, go local, and let the city surprise you.

Being a Monday evening, the dining room was quieter than last time but the vibe was still cool and upscale. REVIEW BY Avila.Eats on: TikTok, insta, and YouTube…read more Service: excellent. Nothing more to be said other than chef and his team are spectacular people and deserve all the success going their way. Top notch hospitality. Ambiance/Atmosphere: dimly lit but not stuffy steakhouse. The food quality is like a suit only steakhouse but the vibe and music gives a fun elegant fine dining experience with a loved one and the perfect place for friends. Great music and upbeat vibe with the open kitchen. Food: 1. Welcome bite on a toasted very crunchy focaccia. Crème fiche and a toasted plum adding a nice sweetness 2. Non-alcoholic champagne has a subtle sweetness mixed with the slight tang of alcohol despite being alcohol free. The bubbles add a nice mouth feel. 3. Non alcoholic martini is sweet with a creamy top that adds a pleasant buttery texture and feel. The sweetness is cut with the bourbon flavor the drink is very smooth and being non alcoholic is a must because it's dangerously good. I'd insist 10 4. Fries are very crispy outside and mash potato like inside. Perfectly seasoned and lack nothing. The sauce is tangy with a slight heat. I don't ever eat fries but I'll finish the beef tallow fried fries. I'd insist. 10 5. Mac n cheese is a cheese flavored forward Mac. Not stringy but very rich and creamy. Leaves an excellent mouth feel with a subtle but not bland flavor bread crumbs add a nice crunchy texture. I'd highly recommend. 9 6. Wagyu royale patty is incredible juicy and tender. The sir Harry Wagyu strips are rich and buttery making this burger very meaty. The egg adds and extra umami flavor. The cheese is well melted and although subtle supports the Rick beef. The sauce alongside is rich with a strong umami flavor while not being ridiculous. The bun is quality but slightly overpowering in flavor and falls apart easily. I'd highly recommend 9 With the sauce 9.5. 7. The au poive sauce is an easy 10 on its own 8. Buckeye dessert has a light and airy peanut butter moose. The peanut butter praline inside adds a crunch mixing with the mouse that has a strong peanut butter flavor. The rochay outside is rich and crunchy. The chocolate sauce is rich and indulgent. Peanut butter lovers dream. Rich and flavor but light and remains unsuckly. It's like eating the best Reece cup ever. I'd recommend. 7
