Initially, we were going to go the TAKL route but it was tough to price with a single provider on the app. Having had previous success with Yelp, we decided to use that to search for handyman services. We saw several with mixed reviews then saw Al's with 5-stars. I was hesitant at first given there were only six reviews at the time. However, after reading each one, and realizing that Al was a hands-on business owner, we decided it wouldn't hurt to get a quote. Al responded to the request very quickly and showed up on time. After I showed him all the work that needed to be done, I asked whether he happened to know how to program a garage door keypad. Without any hesitation, he read the instructions on the keypad, flipped the garage light assembly where the switch to program was and helped me figure it out. Turns out the battery on the keypad just needed to be replaced. He even left me a little screw driver so I could open the battery compartment once I got the 9v battery I needed. He did all this "gratis"! While I had originally planned to get more quotes, this small act of kindness demonstrated Al's commitment to customer service, which is unfortunately rare to find these days. Additionally, I told Al that we neither had the tools nor supplies needed to do all the hanging and installation work and he said he would take care of getting them. As such, we decided to move forward and scheduled him for the work. As expected, Al showed up on time yesterday, got the job done quickly and well. He accepts payment via Zelle which was a big plus. My sister was quite pleased with his work and has asked Al for another quote do screen replacement for her back patio. So here's the short version of my review. If you need work done around your house, call Al -- you will definitely be happy you did. Glad we found you Al! If I or my family and friends ever need work done, we now have someone we can trust will get it done fast and done well! Thanks!!!

Another handyman wanted to repair everything without first identifying the actual source of the leak, but Eugene took the time to investigate and made sure we fixed the problem the right way instead of just covering it up. They also cleaned up our stair trim and completed a few other touch-ups we requested. Eugene and Anton were professional, honest, communicative, and took pride in doing quality work. It's hard to find handymen who genuinely care about solving the root cause instead of taking shortcuts, and we really appreciated that. We'll definitely be using them again for future projects and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

After trying different construction contractors, I found out that only handyman can solve my problems. Unfortunately, the first handyman I came across was a con artist who scammed me and left. Then I came across Jazzy's handyman Service. I called and Deshawn came and looked at the work in the bathroom and kitchen and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the estimate, and he prepared a contract and we signed it. I was surprised when I noticed that he never included what portion of the estimate I should pay in advance. When I asked him, he told me that I would pay him at the end of the project. That was a sign of his confidence in the quality of his work, which impressed me!! We set the date when he would start the project. I was following the day-to-day progress of the project. Deshawn is highly disciplined, enjoys his work, gets lost in his work and loses tracking time. This became clear to me when he told me that he left his profession that he was trained for at college up to master's degree, environmental engineering.
