Been extremely stressed out (my dad unexpectedly passed and parents live in SC, couldn't fly down…read moreimmediately.) My friend saw my distress and surprised me with an experience here. It took a while to really get into the guided imagery/zero gravity chair and become zen but I eventually got there! Walked out of there feeling so much lighter and more relaxed. Hung out in the rest/beverage and snack lounge for a while. Loved the games, books, oracle cards and tarot decks. Will absolutely be back again. I needed some peace in my life and Saltitude absolutely provided this. So greatful to my friend for this gift!

Think crystals, sage, yoga mats, etc... I had no idea the wooden door in the lobby lead you into the salt cave! It feels like you are in a cave. But it's quaint and serene with a small little opening showcasing a 'sky.' There were blankets folded as you enter and are there if you choose (I totally chose a blanket!) There were 4 lounge chairs and a recliner! We were offered yoga mats, which my daughter accepted and started laying but ended on the recliner. Also it was explained that there is salt getting blown into the room. You can't taste it but it is getting to your skin. My cozy spot was in a lounge chair with a foot stool and a blanket. The time in the cave starts with a 5 minute meditation over a speaker in the room. it's the right volume and soothing. Then you have silence. We could have talked but my daughter and I both opted to have our own experience in silence and enjoying the room. I can't lie- I totally dozed off! But as your time comes to a close, that soothing voice returns and alerts you to return to the regular world. I felt so rejuvenated. Was it the nap? Was it just relaxing? Is it the salt? I don't know but I felt good and we both loved it! Also, super hospitable! They offer coffee, tea and snacks. Whatever you want and/or need, it's offered. We will be back!

The 60 minute float was the perfect amount of time for me. I did fall asleep at some point which was nice. I was super sleepy and relaxed for the rest of the day. The float tank also does a great job of relieving minor aches and pains because you can stretch with no weight on your joints. I wish that I had thought to turn the lights off in the room before I started, because there was a little bit of light seeping through the cracks of the float tank. You can have the option to turn the lights and spa music in the tank on or off. My skin was super soft afterwards because of the epsom salt, but you might want to plan to do this on a day when you don't have any plans afterwards, because my hair was kind of funky for a while afterwards. The person at the counter was really friendly and did an excellent job of explaining everything. They provide a towel, q-tips, ear plugs, and anything you might need. The cost was $55 for one hour as a new customer. Definitely hoping to come back here and I've been recommending it to everyone!

I've never understood why New England doesn't have more of a spa culture, so I'm genuinely glad…read morethis place exists - and overall, it's quite good! If I weren't a bit biased from being spoiled by Canadian and West Coast Korean spas, I'd probably give it 5+ stars. I love that there's a cold plunge, plenty of relaxation rooms, an unlimited stay, and massage chairs. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the facilities feel clean and well maintained. A few minor improvements would really take this place to the next level: - The steam rooms and hot saunas could be hotter. - The cost is steep. I fully understand that my expectations are colored by $30 West Coast spas, but a slightly lower price point would make frequent visits easier to justify. - The locker room/wet area was very loud. I appreciate that conversation is allowed, but the volume made it hard to fully relax. I'm not sure there's an easy fix without acoustic upgrades. - The Korean food was disappointing, especially for the price. - This is very personal preference, but I do enjoy the traditional no-bathing-suits culture. Most women were wearing bathing suits, which made me feel a bit self-conscious being the only one without. Totally on me, but worth mentioning if you're expecting a more traditional spa experience. Overall, I'm happy to have a spa like this in the area and hope it continues to improve. If you've never tried a spa like this before, I highly encourage giving it a shot!!

I have such a "love-hate" relationship with Spalight. When they first opened, this place was an…read moreabsolute dream--meticulously clean, welcoming, and my go-to spot to totally reset. Unfortunately, the facility has hit a bit of a decline lately. What used to be impeccably dry, clean floors are now prone to dust and hairballs, and it's gotten so wet in the wet sauna areas that they've just started putting out "caution" signs instead of actually keeping it dry. I've seen quite a few people slip. Even the "unlimited" towel perk has been downgraded to a strict two-towel limit, and the food portions and quality have shrunk exponentially compared to the cost they charge it at. That being said, there is one major saving grace: the Korean auntie who does the body scrubs. She is an absolute legend and deserves a massive raise for everything she puts up with! She's the main reason the experience still feels somewhat authentic and worth driving to. The rooms are also on the smaller side, so if you go during peak hours, it's definitely more "crowded" than "calm." Honestly, the only reason I still make the trip is that it's the only K-spa within a reasonable driving distance from Boston. If there were more local options, I'd probably skip the decline here and head straight to NJ or NYC for a higher-quality experience. It's still a decent option if you're desperate for a scrub and a soak without the four-hour drive, but I really miss the high standards they had at the beginning.

Missy came in and explained how the salt was dispersed through the air and went into detail about all the benefits from halo-therapy. Again, I didn't even know what a salt room was before I walked in the door, so all these benefits were a huge plus! The destress yoga class led by Mimi is such a nice way to stretch and then relax with meditation. Mimi is a great teacher and so welcoming to all her students. This class is refreshing and always helps me to center and recharge. The guided meditation class with Francesca is the ultimate class to sit back and relax. The meditations are thoughtful and she gives each guest a healing and reading. I really enjoyed this class! My first night after visiting the salt room I fell asleep and stayed asleep for one of the best nights of sleep I have had since before kids! I woke up with a general feeling of well being and calmness. I have noticed this experience after every visit! I have been visiting the salt room almost weekly for classes and I have breezed through my yearly allergy season with no congestion! Just Breathe has a wonderful community of positive, uplifting individuals. Every class has such a positive energy and they are very welcoming to "newbies". Parking in on street, I don't believe you have to pay though. Staff is super nice and welcoming, gave us the run down, provided us with a sandals and a robe. The robe are pretty size inclusive, I only had a little gap, and I'm a 3x. You get a locker and they even have a bathing suit dryer when you're done (pictured) That said, it's a smaller space than the Newport location inside, where the actual pools/saunas are. However, you can still get in and out of the pools with ease because of the railings. There is maybe enough space for two in the plunge pool. Staff came through with some cool eucalyptus towelettes and there is free flavored or non flavored water to drink. The cons for me would be the parking, and the over booking, people were struggling to find places for their robes and cups. Otherwise, this is a great experience for your body and peace of mind, would recommend.

Online they had a special for first timers and I opted to do aerial yoga for the 3 class package I bought and boy am I ecstatic that I went! Upon entering the parking area they have affirmations at almost every parking spot, which I enjoy. The outside of the building is so welcoming, they have meditation music playing on your way in and you're warmly greeted. Very easy to find and they have so many things going on here it's amazing. They have all types of yoga classes, a sweat spa, they do facials, massages and so much more! I walked around in awe of all of art and yogi stuff it was beautiful! The bathroom even had affirmations everywhere and was super clean! I mean so clean that I was walking around in my socks and then walking around barefoot which I don't do! I've never done aerial yoga before so I signed up for an intro class with David! He was great! The way he explained everything was very to the point and easy to understand. He so eloquently showed us the moves and then spotted us as we needed. I was terrified at first and then I learned to trust my body and by the time I knew it I was doing things in the air and upside down and I was so proud and felt impressed. I did indeed connect with my body on a level I never knew. I loved it so much I then did the beginner class with Lisa and then the all levels with David again. Lisa was sweet but I like David's teaching style better, but I liked them both, but will stick with David. I am indeed going to buy the 10 class package because I loved it so much and I indeed need aerial yoga in my life more frequently. I love this place I really do and I am so happy I didn't just ignore this place from reading previous reviews. Everyone has their own experiences and mine was pleasant all 3 times! I've already convinced my co-workers and mom to attend an aerial yoga class with me so we're setting that up. It had changed my life, changed my exercising, my being in tune with my body and opening me up to tons of new things I had no clue I could do. You feel very free after this class, and very much like you want to learn more and more moves. I would give this place a go for anyone thinking of trying it!
