Excellent and fast service, at least for simple problems.

Water damage diagnostic on my daughter's Mac, and successful data transfer to new device, all completed by the courteous staff for $100. Terrific Apple service facilitated over the phone from 200 miles away! read more

Terrible, terrible management. And by terrible I mean non-existant. The staff ordered a part, which turned out to be the wrong part so they had to return it. Ok, no biggie. But the correct part was on backorder, which they neglected to tell me so I had to wait about 3 weeks before it came in. By this time, I wanted a refund and said so. The next day they call, and say the part came in, and no they will not refund me because they already did labor on my computer, but they'll give me some store credit, or I can have the part put in and get a $30 discount. Before they realized the first part they ordered did not fit into my computer, they tried to install it so that's labor: how is it my problem that they tried to install the wrong part? At this point I want absolutely nothing to do with them, so offering store credit is kind of like a one-fingered solute in my mind. "Hey you're absolutely miserable with our service, well come on back!" Yeah, no thanks. Only the manager/owner can make refunds, so when I asked to speak the manager the employee said he/she was not there. Ok, I asked for a number I can reach them, and the employee says I can't have that information. Ok, I asked when the manager will be on the premises next so I can speak to him/her, the employee said the manager does not have a schedule, and he has no idea when he/she will be in next! I finally asked if he could call the manager, and let me talk to him/her while I'm in the store AND HE SAID NO! Also, they have no voicemail system, what kind of business is this?! So, I finally decided to take the correct part they ordered, and the small discount and never return. Basically, I waited a full month to have them tinker around with my laptop, put the original broken part in, and then try to charge me full price for all of that. The original charge was $182, including the part. Out of this I get a $75 part and $30 check (because even though they can charge with in the store, they only give back checks for discount), so I'm out $80 and a full month for nothing. This business is run appallingly poorly. I'd rather try to follow youtube instructions on how to fix my computer (it's just a trackpad replacement) than ever set foot in that place again. read more

My custom pc refused to post and i brought it into this shop. They called me in 2 days, after running the diagnostics. They said they had to disassemble, let the parts sit there for a few hours, and reassemble since some of the parts were apparently shorted. And they said i had one of hard drives disconnected and offered me to connect it for me to which i said sure, not realizing this would calculate into their labor time. After all, i paid $110 total for which i could have done perfectly fine myself. I built the computer myself so disassembly and reassembly are breeze. Instead of straightly going for the action, maybe run the diagnostics, call back, and let the customer what the problem is first and ask if the customer wants to proceed with the solution? Besides, $110 is quite a scam for what they have done. I see why they charged me that much according to their whatever. Oh did i mention that they didnt even tell me the price for any of this? Yeah quite scamming. Well they at least got the job done. Actually not really... Probably not going back to them ever again read more

I took my laptop in because I had spilled some computer on it and noticed that one of the two charging ports was not functioning properly. I was able to turn on the pc but was worried that there could be more damage done to the motherboard if not taken care of promptly. These CON ARTISTS charged me $80 just to chek my PC in telling me they would have a diagnosis 4 or 5 days later. After waiting a few days longer than was predicted, the condescending man on the phone told me that the motherboard and battery were both damaged, and the PC couldn't even be turned on. They recommended that I either proceed with their $1,200 repair or purchase a new computer. I was shocked and distraught to learn that I would have to shell out another $1000 on another laptop. Upon picking up my now "unusable" computer, I plugged it into an outlet and it promptly charged, turned on, and worked as it did when I plugged it in. As if it wasn't bad enough that the "repair" shop couldn't turn on the computer let alone assess what the issue was. When I called the shop asking how it is possible that their PC experts were unable to complete a task as simple as turning on my computer, and how they could charge me $80 dollars and accomplish nothing, the arrogant and impolite phone operator responded by barrading me and asking me what I wanted him to do about it. This business scammed me out of $80, spoke to me impolitely with a condescending tone, and worst of all couldn't even figure out how to turn on a computer that has proven to not have even needed fixing. DO NOT GO HERE. You are better off going to a geek squad than these know-nothing con artists. I don't know how they can live with themselves scamming desperate college students out of their money. read more

This is the worst establishment with some of the most rude, unhelpful people. I called a day before to let them know I was coming in right after work at 4:30. When I got there, the front desk girl said they would have to hold my phone over night because the store closes in 15 minutes and diagnostics take 2 hours. They wouldn't even look at my phone to see if they needed to actually do the testing. When I asked if the tech specialists could at least look at it, she said I guess and took it in the back. A minute later, she came out and said that they couldn't find any cracks or damage to the phone.......... NO SH*T, I could have told them I haven't dropped it and that's not even why I came in. The tech specialist wouldn't even come out to talk to me. This place and these people are worthless. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. My MacBook crashed and wouldn't turn on and the only thing running was my fan with a black screen. I went here and they told me to pay the diagnostic fee. I had to keep calling them until they finally told me it would be fixed in a few days. I had a test coming up and I had to pay them another $100 just to transfer my files onto a hard drive that I paid for separately. $300+ wasted, the manager yelled at me saying I should have told them I needed it sooner and that there was nothing to do about it and that I would need to pay $800+ to get my logic board fixed. When I went home to NY a few weeks later a guy there charged me $100 and had my laptop working in just two days. They say they are an Apple authorized store but all they do is rip off college students who don't want to drive to Harrisburg or Pittsburgh to visit the Apple store. Avoid this place if possible! read more

Do not go here. I brought my laptop in to repair the power input. They said 3-5 days. I thought the price was a bit high, but I paid because I'm a student and I needed it repaired. It took over two weeks for them to get it back to me, and when I did get it back my charger was broken. The manager didn't even tell me until I came back asking why it wasn't charging. Horrible, horrible experience, do not ever go here. There are other places around State College. Save your time, money and frustration. read more

They are thieves dressed as computer guys. I went there for repair of my water-damaged laptop. Since I needed my laptop soon, I paid the rush fee ($50) in addition to the diagnostics charges ($35). After that, they took my laptop and didn't call me for 2 days despite their saying that rush fee means next day update. I was the one who always called them. After that they said, my motherboard is "fried" and I needed to replace it for which they asked $400. You cannot believe they asked me $150 to transfer my hard disk data which, later on, I did myself with the help of my department's helpdesk for free. This much said, the worst part is they took my 2GB RAM chip. I came to know about this when I got my motherboard "repaired" (not replaced) in just $25 from some other place and when I started my laptop and checked RAM, it showed 4GB instead of 6GB. When I came back to them regarding this issue (after a month) they denied and only after I took a strong stand, they said that they will look and let me know the next day. As expected, they didn't call me for 3 days and when I went there on the 4th day, they gave me my RAM. I have not seen such unprofessional guys in my whole life. So please beware of these guys. These guys have superficial knowledge about computers. Even after reading this, if you want to go to them, then just follow these advise: 1. Never ever opt for a rush fee ($50). Its a farce and too expensive. They do not give you priority. 2. Check your computer for its accessories like RAM, hard disk , network card, etc. after you take it from them. They are thieves! read more

Worst service fever, they can not do a basic diagnostic job and charge you for ridiculous price. Do not waste money over there

This place is absolutely excellent! On time service and superb customer service! I will come back here every single time I ever have any electronic issues with any device! Thanks p2p! read more

Nathan is the most professional, competent, and talented computer "geek" I have encountered. I had deadlines for my new text book and he came through within 48 hours to diagnose and complete the series of tasks needed to get my laptop fully functional. He replaced the hard drive, reloaded all software, and saved all of my data off a damaged disk - miracles! If you have any issues with your computer, hard ware, viruses, soft ware upgrades, and others, he can expertly handle them. I cannot say enough about how happy I am, you will be too! read more

Excellent! Went out of their way with (telephone) diagnosis of WI-FI connectivity problem in our home.

Absolutely terrible. I drop my laptop off for a repair, I was told it'd take 1 day to fix. I don't receive a call for several days and when I call them to check up on the status, I am told it is a whole different problem and they're going to require another few hundred bucks to fix it. I'm feeling skeptical so I request a refund and they tell me it'll take them about a month to get the money back to me... Absolutely terrible. read more
